[School Paper] Term Two: Sign-up Sheet

On the door that exits the classroom, there hangs a long piece of parchment that reads:

School Newspaper

Sign Up
Please sign your name under the appropriate house.

You pick up your quill and quickly scratch your name under your house, before leaving the room in a hurry on your way to dinner.

Thom scratched his chin. He was no writer, as many knew - but those Qucik Quotes quills seemed to do the job for him. He grinned, wondering what nonsense stories he could create. He suddenly felt his old conniving streak coming back.

Snatching up the quill before the person next to him could, he scrawled his name under the Hufflepuff heading...

[Zachary Daniels]

Zachary stared at the Quick-Quotes Quill supsiciously, before holding it out and writing his name under the Slytherin heading. He immediately sneered, however, seeing the words spoiled brat shimmering in emerald ink instead of his name.

Throwing the quill into his bag, his cheeks growing flushed, he picked up one of his reliable normal quills and wrote his real name, after scratching out the former. Then, with one last glare in the doors direction, he left the room.

[Helia Ollivander]

She walked up to the sign-up sheet, Quick Quotes Quill in hand. She bit her lip and set the point of it down on the paper beneath the Ravenclaw's header. "Helia Ollivander," she said, then watched as the quill began dipping and swirving and swirling across the parchment, 'Gracious but inanimate objects do make a lovely pen mark,' she thought, noting the fancy calligraphy her pen seemed to use. When it finished the paper read: Helia Astrid Lunette Ollivander, Head Girl and Wand Craftsman
"Make it an advertisent why don't you?" she asked the pen sarcastically. The pen twirled the very tip of it's feather and was about to continue writing when Helia grabbed it and put it back in her bag, "Remind me to teach you how to take a joke," she said before closing the flap of the satchel and walking off

Jac stood for a long while trying to decide whether or not she should add her name to the list. "Hmmm," she mused, rubbing her chin thoughtfully with the feather-end of her quill. "Why not!" she said to herself and wrote Jac Biggerstall below her house name.

Liam stared at the parchment on the door warily, before picking up his quill and scribbling his name on it. At least he'd get on Walton's good side this way, and he had a feeling Occlumency would go a lot better if that were the case.

[Mozess Mirari]

Mozess had heard about Professor Walton in the hallwaysand thought him to sound like a very interesting Professor. When she heard he was running the school newspaper she quickly made her way to where she'd heard the sign-up sheet was. She raised an eyebrow at the scrawlings beneath the Slytherin sing-up, but shrugged it off and signed her name: Mozess Mirari

Erin walked up to the sign-up sheet after everyone else and neatly wrote her name under the slytherin heading.
