Girty giggled about Bog dozing in the corner and Graces suggestion. However her laughter stopped when Grace sat down by her asking about the letter. Girty slowly put her hands in her pocket and pulled out the letter. With a sigh she unfolded it and held it in front of her. “I got it in my second year on valentines day. Came by owl in the morning at breakfast. It has no name on it so I have no idea who it is from. But stupidly I kept it as it was my first and only letter of telling someone they liked me.”
Girty broke off and looked up form the letter. Her hands were shaking and she gave Grace a small smile. “Told you it was silly”

Grace smiled at Girty and shock her head. "That's not silly at all!" she said, empathetically, "I keep everything! And I mean everything! One my mum went away for a ... awhile and she wrote me everyday. I hid them-" she cleared her through "-from my Father and I ... I still have them, in my trunk. And when I feel like I can't live without her any more I take out the letters and read them and they always make me feel better." She kept her eyes fixed on the floor as she spoke. And after a moments silence, she looked at Girty with a smile, "now tell me that's not silly?" she giggled.

Girty looked at Grace. "That is definitely not silly." she looked down at the note in her hand and gave a small sigh. "This is." she waved the paper in the air. "At least your's has value and...and...use." Girty took a deep breath, "unlike this stupid, stupid note."
With both hands Girty grasped the note and started to tare it right down the center.

Grace smiled. "The fire will help with that," said Grace, pointing to the rawing fire. She thought for a moment, then added, "we all need out own security blankets, it's what keeps us sane and safe." She shot Girty a weak smile and sat back on the couch.

Girty giggled and looked over toward the fire. She finished tarring the paper and then crawled over toward the fire. With a slight sigh she let go of the paper and watched it float down and start to turn brown around the edges.
"It never made a good blanket. Way to small." She gave a small laugh and pulled out another chocolate frog from the box.

Grace smiled and nodded, "yeah! That would be a problem!!!!" She giggled at Girty, "you are way too small for that!" She sat back in her seat, laughing and holding her sore stomache (she's been laughing way too much).

Girty smiled at Grace as she struggled to keep the bewitched frog in her hands. After holding it tightly for a while she could feel the frog struggling less and less until it became motionless and started to melt in her hands.
"I will ignore the fact you think I'm small and rise above it.....But really I'm not that small...am I???"
Girty's confidence had be sliced into tiny pieces and even the smallest of things started to play on her mind.

Grace gave Girty a soft punch on the arm and laughed. "Na!" she giggled, "but if you don't stop squishing that frog, you'll have to lick your hand!" Grace though about it for a second then added, "then again that would be fun!"

Girty opened up her hands to reveal a few stationary and melted chocolate frog. With a smile she broke part of it off and popped it into her mouth.
After it had melted and she has munched on it for a while she looked over at Grace.
"It is a good job we are not civilised in Hufflepuff."
With a giggle Girty started to lick her left hand clean of chocolate.

Grace laughed and fell back in her seat. "Well done, Girt!" she said through her laughter, "very lady-like!" She laughed then imitated Girty eating her hand, crossing her eyes and making loud slurping noises. She once again burst into laughter.

After Girty had finished licking up the chocolate she finally noticed that Grace was copying her. In a moment of pure anger Girty stood up spinning around and looked straight at Grace, only for the anger to pass as she watched Grace laugh.
With a sigh Girty walked towards the seat next to the sleeping Bog and flop down in it. She looked at him and pocked him in the side of his face laughing as it slowly pushed his face to on side.

Grace clamed herself after a very long moment of laughter. Grace wathced Girty sit next to Bog and poke him. She giggled then mused, "it's odd how he can sleep through all this, isn't it?" She looked at Girty and for the first time actually saw her. Grace studied her face for a bit the asked, "Girt is everything alright? You seem a little down and the bags under your eyes seem to be heavier then they should be?"

Girty continued to poke Bog in the face giggling lightly to her self when she heard Grace asking about if she was ok. Slowly Girty lowered her hand and turned to face Grace. She opened her mouth in pure hope that words would fall out and form a sentence. After seconds slowly ticked by and nothing was said Girty closed her mouth again and buried her head in her hands
“I…I have not been sleeping…or eating as much as a normally do and well I’m starting to get paranoid over small things. Stupid things. The other night I final feel to sleep and then I panicked that the lid was not closed on my ink bottle. And the night before that I was convinced I left my bag by the lake so I went out in the rain to find it, when it was under my bed and I knew it was but I still went outside.”
Girty’s words were strong together and she blurted them out at a rapid pass. After she had finished she raised her head from her hands and looked hard at Grace. Her eyes were pleading with her to help.

As Girty spoke Grace stood up and sat next to her, resting a hand on her shoulder. When Girty looked at her with pleading eyes, Grace was at a lose for words. She looked at the floor, thinking about what had been said. Then she asked slowly, "but why haven't you been sleeping? Is it the swans again?"

Girty looked over at Grace and slowly shook her head. Her eyes began to drop as her gaze fell on her hands. Then as she spoke her voice was dry and at first held no emotion.
“It all started a few months ago when Boggleworth and I were walking by the forest.” Girty looked over at Bog sleeping, her eyes fell hard onto his face and she took a deep breath before turning around to face Grace.
“Bog gave me a potion to help with my…well my turns as a werewolf. I started to drink it but then something happened. I can not remember what but the bottle smashed and I had not drunk all of it. I still turn into a werewolf, but it is not as painful. However I get angry and lose my temper more rapidly and ever since that day I have not been sleeping.”
Girty continued to look at Grace hopping she would understand but she knew that there was nothing that she could do to help her.
