It was the start of term which meant no one had homework to do.. which also meant Carrie was free to play Exploding snap as loud and stupidly as she wanted. She found there was a pattern with the Common Room, the further you got into the year, the more likely people were going to moan at you for being loud, but as you started to creep towards the end of the year, it was safe once again.
Carrie had been sitting down in one of the arm chairs for ten minutes or so, throwing the pack of cards up into the air and catching it once again. It seemed that even with the lack of studying, no one was tempted into a game.

Lisa walked down the girls staircase, her eyes wandering around the common room with hardly-contained excitement. There were many more Gryffindor students than last term, and she was biting her lip in hopes to persuade a few of them into Quidditch.
Finally reaching the bottom of the staircase, she noticed a girl throwing a pack of cards in the air. She was used to cards, as her Muggle father played them often, but the ones the girl had been tossing looked... well, strange.
"What've you got there?" She asked brightly, smiling at the girl who she remembered vaguely from last term.

Carrie caught the pack of cards again, and looked over to the other Gryffindor who had just descended down the stairs. 'Exploding Snap.' She explained with a smile. 'Ever played?' Taking note of the slight look of curiousness in her expression. She had talked to the girl a few times in the previous year, but had yet to get to know her properly - nothing that a game of Exploding Snap couldn't solve.

Lisa wandered closer, her eyes watching the cards carefully, before shaking her head. "Never," she said with a slight laugh, taking a seat nex to the girl- Carrie if she remembered correctly. "Looks pretty wicked though," she grinned, leaning forward. "Are there many rules?"

Carrie leant forwards looking thoroughly pleased. 'Never?' She repeated as if to give her time to contemplate the fact - playing with begginners was always a laugh. 'No, not many rules at all - in fact, it's just like non-magical snap.' She explained before smirking slightly. 'Though one bit of advice when playing - be quick.' Afterall, Exploding snap was just like normal snap, but the word Exploding had definately not been put in there for nothing. 'You fancy a game?' She asked holding the deck up for Lisa to see.
