It was early morning before Breakfast would usually start, but Boggleworth knew the kind house elves would have something already prepared for prefects about to go on duty. He had crept out of the Hufflepuff common room trying hard not to wake a soul. Amazingly he saw nobody skulking in the corridors and so he made his way peacefully to the Great Hall, for a pleasant change not having to chase anybody away. Sitting down comfortably he began to eat his rather nutritious breakfast, some fruit along with a single piece of toast, to some it would seem burnt but to him it was just how he liked it. The House Elves must have known it was his duty day. He smiled to himself as he wondered what the coming day would bring...

Bailey sat awake in her dormitory. She looked around to see all her room mates were still asleep. She thought to perhaps use this time wisely and go and and do some homework in the commonroom. However her train of thought was interrupted by the noise of her rumbling stomach.
Bailey decided to go get some breakfast, when she was walking towards the great hall the amount of people she saw on the way gradually increased. Bailey slipped into the great hall and headed for the hufflepuff table, where only a few were present. She sat down near the others and helped herself to some toast and marmalade.

Looking up from his munching, Boggleworth encountered a fellow Huflepuff, a new face if he wasn't mistaken. He grinned happily and exclaimed "toast with marmalade eh? Yuk," he shuffled along the bench towards her saying "you don't mind do you? I'm Boggleworth, pleased to meet you," He held out his hand for a shake not realising his fingers were covered in orange juice from the orange he had just demolished...

"aye, toast and marmalade indeed, tis rather edible" Bailey said with a smile. She watched as the fellow hufflepuff shuffled along towards her. "not at all, always nice to have company during breakfast! I'm Bailey, pleasure to meet you too!" Bailey saw that Boggleworth had some type of juice on his hand, she giggled and then shook it. "enjoying your breakfast i trust" she said with a grin.

"of course, a good brekky is always the order of the day. Company at this un-earthly hour is indeed delightful, no better way to start the day if you ask me, great company and tuck," he laughed.

"indeed, breakfast is rather important. So a person can hardly eat alone and not laugh once, i mean how would they survive boring lessons that followed!!"Bailey said attempting not to laugh. "so whats your excuse for being up so early on this..." She looked up at the bewitched ceiling and tried to describe the weather patterns. "... cloudy morning, however I believe there to be light showers later on in the day." Bailey said trying to sound like a muggle weather presenter, not hiding her grin.

Boggleworth chuckled, already he liked Bailey "you're not a bad hat Bailey," he commented with a grin. "Breakfast is vitally important, but remember you can always..." he leaned forward conspiratorily "skip them" He gasped "did I say that out load?" he joked, "but in answer to your question, I have a perfectly sound explanation as to why I am up, I am the Head Boy so I have prefect duty, but then again," he mused "I'd get up anyway to be honest, why are you up? I didn't wake you did I?" He asked worriedly.

"Why thank you!" Bailey said with a cheeky grin whilst half bowing.
"hush your mouth! Skip such a vital part of the day as breakfast!" she gasped, but could no longer resist the temptation to laugh. "Ooo, an important figure in school life being hasseled by a foolish young 6th year, dear me." She grinned.
Bailey wondered why she had actually woken up... "Aha i remember now! i was tempted to go do some homework, and then weighed up my options .. food or homework.. as you can probably guess food won!"she laughed. "However to relieve you from your worrying, you did not wake me! I am an early bird also!"She chuckled at the expression.

"Well that's good to hear, as they say the early bird catches the worm, though I'd rather catch something more eidible personnally," he laughed. "To be honest I meant skip lessons, skipping breakfast is just plain stupid, not good for growing strong and tall," he commented with a wry grin. Remembering her earlier comment he exclaimed "I beg to differ, me an important figure! Pah, never heard the like!"

"I can safely say that i'd rather eat something more edible aswell, however... perhaps gummy worms!" Bailey giggled.
"I'm sure skipping breakfast is far worse! But aye I see what you meant now, silly me! Whats a few lessons in the great scheme of things, eh!?" She made sure that statement, even though it was in jokey manner, was not heard by any other people of importance except for Boggleworth. Not wanting a detention that early in the morning! "oh yes of course I do apologise for the mistake, even I am a more important individual!!" Bailey faked an evil laugh.
Helping herself to some pumkin juice, she smiled and asked in a polite tone, "would you care for some?"

Ariane swept into the great hall... it wasn't as if she ment to "sweep" it just sortt of happened. It was that- the "sweeping" that made people think of her as stuck up and rude, there was also the fact that she didn't talk to many people, jsut because she liked the secluded life. Ariane sat down at the furthest end of the table and buttered some toast. She pulled upthe plate of kippers and delt herself two. She was glad that she had woken up early. I won't have to deal with the mad rush of people she thought comfortingly.

Dax ran into the hall his tie slung over his shoulder, his robes were tied around his waist and his laces were untied. Running alongside the Hufflepuff table he picked up slices of toast as he went. Giving a small wave at Boggleworth and Bailey he tired to skid to a halt. However Dax overshot his target and ended up ear another Hufflepuff. With a smile he jumped over at sat down on the bench only a few spaces away form her taking a huge bite out of her toast. “Wow those Kippers look nice. Mind pacing me the plate?”
Dax shot the girl another smile after he swallowed his toast and leaned over the table to get a cup of tea.

Ariane was surprised by the sudden appearance of this person. She sat in shock for a few seconds. "Erm, ah. No, go ahead. SHe smiled softly. "Help yourself" She grinned encouragingly. "My name's Ariane Winchester." she held out her hand to shake the boys hand. She passed the kipper s with the other.

Taking hold of the plate with his left hand Dax reached forward and took hold of Ariane hand and shook it happily. “I’m Dax Simmons. Hungry Hufflepuff.”
He grinned widely as he let go of the other girls hand, picking up his fork and jabbing a kipper on the end. After cutting it up into tiny pieces he looked up at Ariane and smiled. “Could you do me a favour? If you see an angry Gryffindor coming this way will you tell me…please.”

"Well.. erm, ya?" Ariane laughed unsurely. "What does this angry Gryffindor look like? And to make sure I'm not helping a jerk, why is he angry?"
She cocked her eyebrows questioningly.
