Lisa grinned back at Thom, in full agreement, until Moncrieff broke out into an explanation of what Creative Magic was. Suddenly, it didn't seem like something she had taken for the easy grade, but something more beautiful. Biting her lip, she leaned forward on her seat, paying close attention.

'Talent? Oh joy...' thought Helia, a bit put off at the thought. Did she even have a talent? Outside of studying or getting herself into trouble? She sighed, she knew there were several students, even just in this class, that were talented artists or writers or pranksters even, and what did Helia have for a talent? She sighed, trying not to even think about talents. For now she'd try to focus on Head Master Moncrieff, and hope that by the end of class something would have come to her... if she had any time at the end of class to think about thigns like that. Between Head Girl duties, trying to recruit quidditch members, and homework there was barely enough time to keep her wand shop stocked... 'Wands?' her mind began spinning, 'I wonder...' She pulled out a notebook and began sketching... or doing about as good a sketch as she ever did, things always looked better in her head than on paper, but that wasn't the point right now. She had a plan.

Zachary let out a snort as the Professor finished his explanation. The class held no interest for him, though it did sound like an incredibly easy grade. Looking around, he rolled his eyes. No wonder he was the only Slytherin there, the class sounded incredibly Hufflepuff--- Sickeningly so.

Thom secretly disagreed with Professor Moncrieff. What could be so difficult about self expression and sitting around relaxing, casting a load of pretty charms and spells? He grinned, folding his arms across his chest. Thom's next door neighbours had a muggle son - who didn't know Thom's family were wizards, of course - and he did 'Art' in a muggle school.
Creative Magic sounded a lot like muggle 'Art' to him - and Thom had seen the other boy's work. He was terrible but on a top muggle grade. Thom would breeze through this... he hoped.
He spied Zack giving one of his trade mark dirty little looks, and glared at him unblinkingly.

Algernon faltered, looking out on the class. It was obvious that most of them seemed uninterested... but Helia, at least, was enjoying herself, and Lisa Lycott seemed engrossed. He made a mental note to give them points for something in the future.
"Er... so... are there any questions?" He asked hopefully.

Thom looked about him, trying to figure out a question. 'Is there any dangerous magic? Magic that isn't well known?' he asked, tilting his head to the side. Thom did not think he'd find being in the limits of well known spells to be terribly exciting. Perhaps he would get lucky and find that it was all mainly new branches of magic...

Liam wasn't an artist so the class didn't sound like it held much promise for him. It did sound, though, like a class which would be more fun and easy-going than all the others, which was reason enough to continue coming.
He leaned back on his chair, balancing it on it's hind legs and listened to the Hufflepuff's question interestedly.

Algernon pondered for a moment. "Well... dangerous, probably not. I mean, I'm sure you could drive yourself insane if you messed about too much but... I mean, not dangerous to other people... But everything, absolutely everything created this way is something new, because it comes from inside the wizard."

"So how do we start?" she asked, looking up from her notebook, excited for the class to get rolling already. She wondered if her plan would work... If it did, well, it would certainly be something. She herself was not entirely sure what would happen, but she was excited to try and the only way for that to happen was for Professor Algernon to start teaching them incantations, or whatever it was that made this Creative Magic work.

Andie who had been listening quietly in the back of the room now spoke up. "Professor, I'm afraid I still don't quite understand..." she admitted. "Would you mind explaining things again?"
