Grace smiled as Bog kissed her. "Well, hello to you too!" she said with a slight giggle. Then she watched Novella, Thom and Helia come in. She realized she was standing in the middle of nowhere. She promptly sat down and looked at the professor. "Boggarts, sir?" she enquired.

Boggleworth turned to Grace and said loudly so all could hear "it seems we are the only cheerful ones here, whatever is the matter with everyone else I wonder, was there a party we didn't know about?" He joked.

Thom smiled affectionately at Loiosh and proceeded to scratch and tickle the little dragon's neck as he settled down in front of him.
Boggarts? Thom repeated concernedly. Are you are you're up to that? I mean, you never know what you might have to look upon... he said seriously. As he stroked Loiosh he was reminded of what he had been desperate to tell Novella. He had been meaning to mention it for many days, but he been completely absorbed and cut off from the outside world when he was with her. This summer I got a dog. His name is Alex. He's in the Room of Requirement, he said, smiling.

Novella bit her lip for a moment, then shrugged. I want to know what it'll be, you know? She asked, before the rest of his statement sank through. A dog? She glanced at Loiosh and Darin, then laughed, smiling at Thom, Well, the more the merrier, I guess.

Fin's loud snores began to fill the room. Eventually one of his snores was so loud it woke him up! "Hubuduasufreddykrueger!" he exclaimed as his head snapped up. Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, he tried unsuscessfully to go back to sleep. It was going to be a long day...

Kerry swept into the classroom apologising profusely for her lateness, "I'm sorry sir but these Ravenclaw first years looked so lost and confused I couldn't help but direct them, and see them safely to thier destination of course." She took her usual seat on the front row, then her hawk eyes spied the closet. She sighed knowing a Boggart would be in there.

"Oh yes, I was helping some of those Ravenclaws as well," Zachary said, his tone sarcastic and uncaring, as he walked into the room. He stared at the students already assembled, before sitting distantly in a corner. There were no Slytherins present, yet again, and he sighed while sending a disgusted look toward the Hufflepuffs. There was always so many of them.

Kerry looked disdainfully at the Slytherin, she didn't much care for liars, "Sir he most certainly was not helping the same Ravenclaws as me," She then smiled sweetly at the boy not really wanting to get him into trouble, but she just didn't like liars.

Zachary scowled in her direction, before grabbing a piece of parchment from his bag. He didn't much care about being late, but was irritated at the fact the Hufflepuff so readily ratted him out. Then, after a moment, he turned suspiciously toward the display at the front, ignoring her's and anyone else's gaze.

'Boggarts?!' she heard someone say. 'Not boggarts! Anything but boggarts!!!' she could only imagine what her worst fear was at this point in time. With all of the trials she'd gone through last year she didn't even want to think about what would appear when and if she had to face the nasty little creature. 'Look uninterested, or busy, maybe you'll get skimmed over.' she thought and quickly pulled out a notebook, ink well, and quill, pretending to take notes even though the class was not yet in full swing.

"Every one calm down." Leigh called out over the ruckus. "Yes, some of you have already figured it out. Boggarts. The mere name can send chills up and down your back if you know what they do. Now, for 10 House points, can anyone tell me what sort of form the boogart takes when seen? Not just something that we all fear, but what is it?"

Liam, who had been sitting quietly in one of the desks, raised his hand timidly. He wasn't sure of his answer at all, but he thought he might as well try. "A silvery orb?" He said, blushing. He hated drawing attention to himself.

Despite her aghastness to having to deal with a boggart she couldn't help but raise her hand at the question. Ten points, it wasn't much, but since Ravenclaw was falling so far behind in hosue cup standings so early in the term she thoguht it couldn't hurt to try. When she realized that someone else was already answering, however, she tried to pretend like she was fixing her hair and focused back on her 'notes'.

"A silvery orb? Maybe." Leigh said, then running his eyes over the class. "All a boggart does is creates an illusion. That illusion is what we fear the most, but since being an illusion the boggarts effects of whatever it is we fear is only minimal compared to the real thing."
Leigh stood from his desk and walked to the cupboard, unlatching the padlock on the front, keeping the doors locked.
"Yes, I should also inform you, the more you participate in class, the much higher the chance of receiving House points." Leigh said, offering for the first student to stand and come forward. "Who would like to go first?"

Liam sighed, not ready to draw attention to himself again so soon. Vaguely, he thought he should have let another student answer, one that could earn the points, instead of letting them go to waste.
Settling back in his desk, he watched the front of the classroom and waited for someone to volunteer.
