(Is this class still going on? o.O Meh, time to revive it dammit! ;D)
Jerred's eyes snapped open, feeling the professor's last question was aimed at himself. He cracked his neck slightly before replying.
"My views are that despite a person being in-human or a half-breed, they are still human, more so than those that despise them." Jerred said, answering the question before anyone else. "They're human enough to be treated with common respect and dignity that they deserve, not treated like a mut gone crazy on blood."
Jerred closed his eyes and waited for his repremand.

Grace stared at the slytherin. She was most impressed. Such wisdom from a slytherin! she thought. She nodded and smiled. "Yes," she said, "I completely agree. People should be praised on their merit and not on how pure their blood is." Grace then realized she had thought aloud. She blushed and then quickly lifted her cup to her lips, trying to hid in the bottom of the cup.

Jerred opened his eyes again before any one else could speak. "Yes, a Slytherin can hold values and modesty just like anyone else." Jerred said.

Girty looked at them slowly. she blinked a few times and smiled. "It is a shame though that not everyone believes that. It has been shown throughout history that no matter what you say about merit people will always look back to you bloodline. Weather this is in the wizarding world or the muggle world." She nodded to herself and looked for her drink.

Faye had watched the three of them with a small smile, her arms crossed. She knew that it was unusual in Hogwarts to have a civil lesson without students treating each other cruelly, and her pride in her students was predictably heightened as she watched them talk. She nodded at Jerred when he had finished talking. 'Indeed you are right, Jerred - blood means absolutely nothing when it comes down to basics. Half-blood, pureblood, muggle-born, half-breed, inhuman... your birth right is not an opening for persecution.' she agreed solemnly. She then looked at Girty. 'Although Ms Hubbles has a point. It does not stop some of us.'
She looked back towards the foeglass for a moment, a particularly large shadow looming forward then swiftly moving away again. She glared at it reproachfully.
(( I can't actually remember where this lesson was going! ))

((Read back through the lesson, lol, may just jolt your memory ;D))
Jerred hid a smug smile, forming a confident smile on his face however. 'Human is human, whether or not you're human all the time, isn't that right Professor?' Jarred asked, looking at Professor Veddette for he knew she was an Animagus.

(( Completely forgot what I was going to do... I think this may have just been a lesson for houses to gather points, actually. It's over anyway! Just say when you want your private lesson thing so we can get on with it. >_< ))
Faye had turned back towards the foeglass, but now peered over her shoulder at Jerred, considering him. Although Faye was very much a people person, she occasionally could not tell someone's true intent in their voice. 'Quite right, Jerred. Human is human.' she replied stiffly, wondering if he were making a point or trying to test her. Slytherins were often hard to discern.
An hour had passed since the lesson had begun, and Faye was quite pleased with how much they had covered on the history of Animagi persecution and the theory of evolution that had spiraled from it. 'I hope you have all learned today to appreciate what you are being offered here. Not a few centuries ago you would have been risking life and limb to be here. You are one of the first generations to be offered this opportunity without threat of death.' she smiled at them, giving a small laugh.
'This will be the last group lesson for a while now. By the end of this term I'm confident that at least some of you will achieve what you hope. Class dismissed.' she said at last. Sitting down in a high backed, velvet red chair, she waited for everyone to leave, or perhaps talk to her about their private lessons.

Grace smiled at Jerred and put down her tea cup. She stood up and slung her bag over her shoulder. Looking down at the others, she said, "I'll see you all around." With that, she walked to where their teacher had seated herself and cleared her throught. "Ma'am, about my lesson. When would you like me to come?"

'Ahhh yes, you and Girty are ready, aren't you?' Faye joined her hands in her lap as she smiled fondly up at Grace. 'I think that if you transform together, you are much more likely to be successful. Of course, you and Girty must do this when you feel totally ready. When would you like to come?' she asked interestedly, happy that Grace had come to her.

Grace smiled broadly and said, "as soon as possible! Tomorrow! If not sooner!" Grace felt totally ready for this new challenge. She had been unsure before but something tight in her gut told her that she was ready. She was anxious to begin, with many questions buzzing in her head, but for now settling on a date would have to suffice.

Faye smiled just as enthusiastically as Grace, laughing a little. 'Tomorrow night it shall be! Don't forget to inform Girty, of course. It would be ever so special if you could transform together... I've never seen two students achieve it together.' Faye raised her wand and tapped the air sharply. A small key appeared floating in front of Grace. 'This is a spare key to this classroom. I may be a little late tomorrow night, so you and Girty must let yourselves in at around seven, alright?'

Grace took the key and nodded. "That'll be just fine!" she said, "and I'll make sure that Girty remembers. Thanks you very much professor! For everything! Tomorrow night it is! See you then!" And with that she left closing the door quietly behind her.
