[Hogsmeade] It's been a while

Since leaving Hogwarts Angel had been busy with her internship at the ministry. Of course she was happy to finally be away from that school and all its craziness. She heard rumors here and there of course, but at least she wasn't there to witness anything first hand. People often asked her about what was really going on in the castle, and to that she would reply ask that nutty headmaster, the day they allowed a Hubbles to take control of Hogwarts was the day the place was headed for disaster. She was surprised to see how many people agreed with her, all this time she thought the ministry was backing him, but it seemed as if many at the ministry were simply tolerating him. All in all being outside of Hogwarts was a very good thing.

Of course there was one draw back being gone and that was not being able to see Jake. They had started seeing each other during the last few months Angel was a student. There was a slight difference in their ages but Angel didn't really care because she liked him a lot. During the whole time Angel was at school there she hadn't found anyone worth dating until she spent that day with Jake at the lake. He was an unexpected surprise, a very happy surprise. Now, that she was out of school though they weren't spending much time together, something that bothered Angel.

She had some time off that day, and since it was decent outside she thought maybe they could hang out, so she sent an owl to him asking for him to meet her at the Three Broomsticks. Dressed as warmly as possible Angel left her one room flat and apparated to Hogsmeade. The moment she got there she started to feel a wee bit nostalgic. She did miss coming here on Hogsmeade visits, there wasn't much time to do it while she was working. Looking around with a grin on her face Angel started to walk.

Once the Broomsticks came into view Angel started to look around and see if Jake was there yet. So far there was no sign of him, so she entered and again started to look around. She seemed to be first to arrive, which wasn't usually like her since she was always late for just about everything. Finding an empty table in the back of the room with a good view of the door Angel sat down waiting, excitement building at the thought of seeing him soon. The door opened and her eyes widened....

A new year rolled around, Jake had spent the summer back at home trying to convince his parents to lay off him about getting married as soon as he left school. He succeeded for now, after he told his parents there was someone at school he liked. He'd purposly left out the fact that she had now left school and was working in the Ministry. Odd, usually he would just tell his parents anything, but if she was old enough to leave school then she was old enough to be considered and Jake didnt want his parents blockading her. Hell, he wasnt even sure if this would last. He hoped it would but he never really looked too far into the future.

He was sat in the common room, on the sofa with his legs up, reading through a book. It wasnt making much sense to him but it was keeping him busy. The door to the common room burst open, Ricky walked in looking rather flushed, holding a feathery animal in his arms. Jake raised his eyebrows, but Ricky couldnt keep hold of it and soon it flew out of his arms and right into Jake's lap. "I guess that was looking for you then." Ricky sighed as he went to the dorms. The owl had a note attatched to its leg, Jake carefully pulled it off and the first word he saw was; Angel.

She was asking him to meet her at the Three Broomsticks. It wasnt a Hogsmeade trip weekend so that meant he'd have to sneak out. He changed from his robes into jeans and a shirt and headed out through one of the many secret passage ways. Soon enough he found himself in the streets of Hogsmeade, wandering through the crowds. Jake knew Angel would probably be there long before he was, afterall she could apparate and even if he could, he couldnt from Hogwarts so he was stuck either way.

Pushing open the door to the Three Broomsticks, he walked through into the overcrowded bar. The smell of smoke hung thickly in the air. He looked around the bar and soon enough his eyes found the blonde head of his girlfriend. Smiling widely he pushed through the crowds and made his way over to her. "Hey." Not original to be sure but it got the point across. Moving a strand of hair, he kissed the top of her forehead and sat down. "How're you?"

Angel saw him walking in and she was so happy that it surprised her. Boys had been after her for years, but very few of them ever caught her Jake had been different. He never came after her, heck there was a time she had barely realized he existed. When they had met that day on the lake they had a great time together. They hit it off and were soon dating. They had been together ever since, and even though Angel had left school she had no intentions of giving him up. Of course she had admirers at the ministry, Angel wasn't an unattractive girl so it wasn't a shock, but it was nice to be able to tell them, Oh no I'm sorry, I'm seeing someone.

The sight of him now had her realizing how much she really missed him. Angel's eyes lit up as he approached her, he was still the handsome as all get out. When he reached her he planted a light kiss on her forehead. Not necessarily what she was expecting since they hadn't seen each other in such a long time she thought maybe a real kiss was in order but she didn't know if there was something wrong so she didn't say anything at least not then.

"Hey there handsome" she said happily. Immediately going after one of his big strong hands and holding it in her own more delicate one. "I've missed you" and she had it was hard trying to focus on work when she wanted to see Jake but it wouldn't be much longer soon he too would be out of school and then they wouldn't have to sneak around to see each other. She knew that he wasn't due for a Hogsmeade weekend for a while and he had to sneak out to be with her now. "I hope you don't get into trouble coming out to see me." She felt a wee bit bad, but she did miss him and really just wanted to see him.

"How is everything going? How is school so far?" This was small talk at its finest. For some unknown reason they seemed more like two old friends as opposed to a "happy couple".
