Mr Shaw sat at his desk twiddling his thumbs. Yes, he did that from time to time. The band on his third finger always made him think of Jac, for obvious reasons. He began to twirl it around, looking at it. He remembered the day they were married and it always brought a smile to the Wizard's face. Things had changed within the castle, it was settling down now from last year, not as many bag things were happening. Of course you couldnt avoid it considering that it was a castle full of hormonal teenage witches and wizards which were bursting with Magical Energy. Something bad was bound to happen at one point. An owl sat lazily in its cage across from him, hooting happily. It was a snow white bird which flecks of black and brown in its feathers. Jack had often said he'd dye some of its feathers red and blonde and make it look like Jac, she'd hit him hard for that.
I love you.
That was all the note said. He stood up and tied the note to the bird's leg, stroking it's feathers lovingly. "Take that to Jac for me." He told her, she hooted and nipped his finger affectionatly before hopping onto his shoulder and allowing Jack to open the window before she soared out of it. He watched the bird out of sight before picking up his black cloak and heading out of his office. He'd had nothing on today, as far as he knew. No study sessions, no lessons to plan and no homework since he'd failed to hand any out during the week. He was thinking of another field trip, but remembering the last one he didnt think it too good an idea. Last time, Daniel had assaulted his lips, much to the shock and amusement of the class, Jac had hitched a ride with them and the class basically hadnt learnt anything since it ended up being more of a camping trip than anything.
It was fun though.
He walked into Hogsmeade and looked around the shops. He didnt have anything in particular he wanted to do. He didnt want to go in the three broomsticks, he definatly didnt want to go in the Hogs Head and he stayed away from all of the resteraunts. So instead, he sat down on a bench beside an ice cream stand and watched as the students piled from one shop into another.
Just a typical hogsmeade weekend.
