(( I believe Liz threw it to a person by the hoops. But anyway, onto posting :D ))
What was this? First Fay stole the Quaffle, gave it to Alfie, then Ellie has to come back and steal it again! Come on, can’t she catch a break! The Puff girl was out for blood in this game. No mercy, even for partial-maybe friends. Hmph, rude! Grumbling, Felicity urged her broom forward, spinning around so she could tail Ellie and try to figure out where she was going to pass it.
Fay noticed a Claw swoop down below Ellie, and then the girl’s grip on the Quaffle loosened. Grinning, Felicity surged forward, cutting between the two players and snatching the ball from right beneath Ellie’s nose, literally! Snickering at her own pun, Felicity veered off to the left, trying to get as far away from the Puff Chasers as she could. She swooped down, trying to get out of sight and looked around her. There was a chaser to her side, so she tossed the Quaffle in that direction.

Ellie felt as though she as playing the game by herself. She would definitely ring out the other chaser to dry. They would be doing some serious practice time if they didn't start to shape up.
Ellie dropped the quaffle, but Fay picked it off. Without even a second though about what she should do, Ellie did a back flip with her broom and flew after Fay. Ellie could feel the sweat fall from her hairline. It dripped dangerously close to her eyes. Ellie shook it off. It seemed like she would never catch up to Fay. It was impossible.
Ellie took a left and flew up to block the on coming Ravenclaws, it seemed to work. Fay must have not seen Ellie right behind the Chaser, but with a last burst of energy, Ellie reached out her hands and felt the quaffle hit her finger tips. She held on tight and brought it to her chest. Ellie breathed a sigh of release, and instead of holding on to the quaffle a long time, she took the quaffle in her hand and threw it as hard as she could to the farthest Hufflepuff chaser she could see. The quaffle sailed over Ravenclaw heads and Ellie prayed she would be able to take a well needed break from flying back and forth.

The snitch had been having far to much fun flying high up in the dark grey clouds, far away from the cheering clouds bellow but as a rain drop bounced off its golden casing the little ball dropped from the sky, free falling towards the ground before letting its small fragile wings beat once more as it hovered over the heads of the Professors.

Rhia still could not believe that she had managed to make it onto the Ravenclaw Quidditch team and as a beater as well! She had always joked that she good at hitting things because she was rather good at Gobstones and they were just like small bludgers…that did not move as fast…or you did not use a bat…or you were not really high off the ground, but other then that the principles where sort of the same.
But that was neither here nor there at the present moment in time, in fact all that mattered was that it had started to rain and so far in this game between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw the beaters had been rather redundant. The week before the game had happened Rhia had read ‘Quidditch Through the Ages’ five times and she felt as mentally prepared as she ever could and as she flew next to Alexis Heart who was the other Ravenclaw beater Rhia looked over at her teammate and gave a cheeky wink. “I say we go for their captain. Knock her down a peg or two.”
Before she could even get a response from Alexis Rhia turned sharply left and chased after a Bludger that was flying near the Slytherin stand. She ignored the boo’s that game from it and when she was close enough she swung her bat as hard as she could (she was rather strong for a bookworm, must have been from carrying all those books) in the direction of the Hufflepuff Captain Ellie Rook.

The first game of the season was here and Nancy could not sleep, instead she had spent the whole morning bouncing around the Hufflepuff commonroom like some mad woman. She had been impossible to sit by at Breakfast as well, although she was skinny she had a never ending pit of a stomach and the food she kept shovelling into her mouth just seemed to stoke the fire of madness even more. But when it came to putting on their bright yellow robes in the changing room and have the team talk from their Captain Ellie Nancy had turned deadly serious (if you ignored the smile on her face) and she was ready to kick some Ravenclaw butt!
Her game plan was simple! Stay out of trouble for the first part of the game, hovering high up in the sky until either she or the opposing team seeker saw a glint of gold. However so far her searches had been in vain and she could not help it, her gaze had wondered to the game happening bellow her and she could not help but watch the game, cheering and booing along with all the Hufflepuff fans.
But then it happened, compared to the dark and gloomy sky it stood out like a sore thumb…it was the Golden Snitch. Dropping into a dive Nancy chased after the small glint of gold, her eyes where like thin slits trying to protect herself from the first drops of falling rain that were hitting her in the face. The snitch then seemed to pull up and head towards the stand, urging her broom forward Nancy tried to get close enough to grap it when a blue robed player flew in front of her and poof she could not see anymore gold. Swearing loudly Nancy thumped the edge of her broom and then her hair turned bright red when she realised who she was hovering above.
“Crap, sorry headmaster did not see you there.”

“Darn it.” Jamie-Syrus groaned as he watched the Ravenclaw goal keeper saved the goal, and passed it straight to another blue robed player. Pulling his broom around he chased after them but Ellie got their first and caught the quaffle. But Jamie-Syrus had learnt never to celebrate too early and as he got himself into a position for Ellie to pass to him the Ravenclaw chaser Fay Locke took the Quaffle back only to pass on to that fourth year and Jamie knew he was lagging behind. They were getting into a good position to shoot and…and Ellie got their once again to win the Quaffle back only for Fay to get it back simply for Ellie to get it back.
Great game to watch…annoying game to be apart of!
However this time Jamie-Syrus was not going to let anything stop him this time, Hufflepuff needed a good run and a goal needed to be scored and so flying low to the ground and that was when he heard a yell from his captain. Pulling up Jamie-Syrus noticed that his captain was hovering directly above the hoops and with a whistle to get her attention and she threw the quaffle straight at him over the head of a Ravenclaw. Reaching up the quaffle was safe in his hands but they now had a problem, only one chaser was allowed to be in the scoring zone at one time and Ellie was in there, so he could not make a move!
Weaving around to try and avoid a Bludger attack Jamie-Syrus looked around for any of this colleagues and as soon as he saw one of his fellow chasers in a good position he threw it in their direction while making sure he stayed out the scoring zone to give them a good opportunity to shoot!

Oh for the love of Merlin! Where could that snitch be? Suddenly, she saw it. A glint of gold hovering over the heads of the professors; this time, it was definitely the snitch. Unfortunately, the Hufflepuff Seeker had seen it as well, and was unfortunately able to get there before Heavenly.
Heavenly glared, cursing as the opposing Seeker flew quickly towards the snitch. Heavenly hauled ass to catch up with the other girl, and glared challengingly when they were face to face. That snitch is mine she thought to herself. There was no way she was going to let her team or Ash down. She had to catch that snitch before the other Seeker. She had to win the game for her team. She just had to.
Heavenly pulled up slightly before she hit one of the professors in the head. She smiled at Dia Hubbles, her head of house. “Hello professor.” She returned her attention to the game, and leaned slightly forward on her broom, ready to take off at the first sign of movement from the snitch. She also looked at the other seeker from the corner of her eye, ready to knock the girl out of the way if needed.House Point Update | | Posts x 10 = 50 Seeker x 1 = 10

"Finally!" Ellie shouted as she watch the quaffle fall into Jamie's hands. She breathe a second of relief, but then sped of toward the goal hoops in which she had to score. The Hufflepuff's were still pretty far off on the wring side of the pitch, but with a few good tactics they would beat out these Ravenclaws in a second.
Ellie rushed forward, keeping her eyes on Jamie. She saw him dodge a bludger meant for Ellie herself. However, Jamie had warned her of it's presence and Ellie just pulled to the right in time for the bludger to miss her foot by inches. Ellie laughed and picked up sped now coming onto the right of Jamie. Ellie whistle for his attention. She was behind him, but they needed to reform their set up and Ellie getting the ball was the start of it.
The pass was thrown and the pass was caught safely in the hands of the Captain. She tucked the ball underneathe her left arm holding it tight and she yelled at her team to form a new position, with Ellie at the head. They flew toward the hoops, breaking a part just as they got to shooting position. Ellie was blocked, but she saw an open man with a perfect shot to her left. She passed it off with a good throw, thinking that this wasn't turning out so bad.

Post by Caleb Holden on Jul 20, 2009 2:42:07 GMT
Caleb watched the Quaffle be caught by the Ravenclaw Keeper only to be bounced between the teams until Ellie had gained control of it again. He tried to look for a weakness in the Ravenclaw ranks that his team could utilize as he trailed behind his fellow Chasers. Ellie had passed to Jamie before he passed back to her. She called for them to make a formation and finally a clearing that Caleb had been looking to squeeze into worked out. Falling in line behind Ellie, he fanned out to the left of her, hoping that she would spot the opening just as he had. As he caught her pass, Caleb didn't allow his broom to slow or falter, keeping the strong momentum that their flying formation had caused. The Quaffle was in his hands for a millisecond, and then soaring to the left hoop with as much force as Caleb could muster. His broom reared slightly with the effort. Please, oh please make it this time. Hufflepuff needs thisGOAL FOR Hufflepuff! | ] | 10 | 0 |

Once again, Cora found herself useless against the fast Hufflepuff players. The fifth year watched as the game flew by. She tried once to steal the quaffle, but Jamie Syrus was just too fast for her. She sighed. She wanted to cry. What was she thinking? She wasn't the athletic type? She should have stuck to her pencils and paper and unbothered corners. I guess this is what she gets for trying out something new.
Cora was out of breath trying to chase the yellow blobs around, when she saw that her efforts were in vain. Cora halted her borrowed broom, which skidded roughly almost throwing her off. She looked up to see the redish color ball fly through the hoop and Bray being unable to get to it. Cora gripped the handle of her broom stick. She looked around for her teammates and she realized again that she was closest to Bray to get the quaffle back into play.
Cora took the quaffle, it feeling more comfortable in her hands then it did the first time. Perhaps she had a better grip this time around or Bray had thrown it lighter. However, Cora suddenly remembered how to play the game and she sped off toward the opposite goals. She didn't make any fancy moves, but just flew straight, so not to get caught up in herself. Finally, she saw her opening to get rid of the quaffle, and without waiting a second for it to close, she threw the quaffle through the opening and toward the other blue player.
