So there he was a now living, breathing and seventeen year old version of the headmaster of Hogwarts who had been trapped in 2D photographic world. All it had taken was for the love and devotion of a student and also the extra helping hand of a bit of dark magic that was seeping out of every crack and crevice in the castle. But now all that mattered to the seventeen year old Dan was that he was walking hand in hand with the person who had made this all possible, the person who had such loyalties to his original and older self that she had made him strong and real. Dan owed everything to Ellie and the happier she was the stronger he got, so in return she got to have a smile on her face while he got life. Arguably it was not the fairest of trade off’s but he would not complain. The problem with being he creating of a slightly warped love and dark magic the end product would not really be normal in fact, in the risk of making it sound like some cheesy muggle horror B movie this Dan was the evil clone of his original self. (And you thought Dan Hubbles could not get any worse)
Another and slightly bigger problem he was finding was the huge 13 year gap that was in his memory. He could remember what had happened in his world but then anything that had happened in-between the evening the photo was taken and today in the corridor was just a blank expanse. This was the very reason he was trying to get as much information out of Ellie as possible about her self, the more he knew about her the easier it would be to play her. He had already done this, he had found out she did not like the new charms professor and so persuading her to walk the other way down the corridor was as easy as persuading a Gryffindor to go into the Forbidden Forest, the end result was so predictable. The only problem was now Ellie seemed to be lost for words and with a small encouraging squeeze of the hand to prove to her he was there to listen she finally managed to get out a few, very broad range sentence about herself.
The information about her being a prefect and Quidditch Captain was good; it would help him know who to avoid bumping into at night and also the fact that him and her might have the tiniest bit in common. However the end of the corridor came just as quick and the end of Ellie’s mini confessions about herself and it was true that Dan was left sorely disappointment although he did not show it on his face. That small, cheeky lopsided grin was still present as his eyes looked dotingly on at Ellie.
“Okay then my little Tasmanian devil I shall think of a question to test your little gray cells to their maximum.” He actually had no idea what he was going to ask, what did people talk about these days? He guessed things would not have changed that much in 13 years but did not really want to risk it too much. Maybe he should be daring and try and bring another flush of red to those cheeks of hers. “Do you believe in love at fist sight?” He slowly pulled them both to a stop, turning to face Ellie as his silky smooth trickled off his well trained tongue. “And if yes…heck even if you say no, would you do me the honour and consider going out with me?”
Bold, cocky and arrogant! It was a good job he knew that she was obsessed with his older self otherwise he would never have taken such a risk to damage his pride!

Ellie felt as though she had let Dan down, though she doubted he would ever show her that he was disappointed. Ellie was right, and she frowned, but was quickly brought back to happiness with a tug of her hand by the boy she was walking with.
Ellie swept her hair to the side. She grinned as Dan talked to her and called her a Tasmanian devil. It wasn't the first time she had heard that nickname. Her Uncle Stan used to call her that all the time, but she smiled none the less at the plain use of a pet name.
Ellie was ready for the first question. She was planning in it being like her favorite color or something, but she was wrong. Ellie's face was a little dumb founded. Did she believe in love at first sight? She had to admit that she could say that she feel in love the first time she saw this younger Dan, but she could also argue that she had been in love with the older Dan for years. So she wasn't sure she could give a conclusive answer.
Ellie didn't actually have to though, because her thought process was interrupted by Dan stopping and turning toward her. She was able to now look directly in his eyes, and she glanced down only once before she locked eye with him. Then it happened.
Ellie's eyes must have completely glazed over. A spark appeared and it looked as if she was memorized by this boy in front of her. Something in the back of her head pushed forward, starting a horrible headache as she stood there dumbfounded. Whatever started that headache also screamed at her. Ellie heard this scream; it sounded as if she was buried underground. It yelled "You're not even sure if hes real yet. No No No!"
Even as Ellie heard this, she couldn't bring herself to open her mouth, and when she did, all that came out was: "yes."

“Is that yes to believing in love at first sight or yes to going out with me?” That lopsided smile filled his face as he kept his gray eyes fixed upon Ellie. Either way Dan did not care which one the answer was directed to, it was clear that somewhere along the line his (and of course with a little help from his older self) his charms were working and he was convinced that sooner rather then later she would be doing whatever he commanded of her. Yes that did sound very big headed and domineering but then that simply was the kind of person this Dan Hubbles was. “Actually…” He continued with a small chuckle. “Don’t answer that question, because if that was your way of politely rejecting me then I just don’t want to hear it.”
The ‘don’t go breaking my heart’ card was always an easy one to play; it required very little emotion to be shown and did not really need complex sentences and fancy words. All Dan needed to do was merely indicate to Ellie that he had a sensitive side and that a life without her would just not be worth it. That later part was slightly true as without Ellie and her belief in him then the chances where he would merely fade away and return to his 2D prison. No, Dan needed Ellie in two ways…one for his deeds he wanted to commit and the other one for his own preservation.
With a small tug on her hand Dan began to walk on down the corridor once more, his head turning from where they were going and then back to Ellie trying to act like the doting young lad who just could not take his eyes off his latest crush. “I have another question for you.” Dan finally spoke again ending the brief moment of silence that had surrounded them. “When we break free of the castle walls where would you like to go in Hogsmeade…I mean, what do you like to do?”
And that would be his plan, woe Ellie, give her everything she wanted to have and believe in and then once even that little voice in the back of her mind has given in to him then the real work would begin. But then in between these stages there was no harm in Dan himself having a bit of fun, you never know he might actually get on with the girl, clearly his older self did!

Ellie was about to agree and say both. Currently, her heart was on top of the world. She just couldn't stop thinking about how all her dreams had come true within a matter of hours. Ellie couldn't say that she believed in love at first sight before now. But she had to admit that Ellie fell in love the moment she set her eyes on the photograph which started this whole thing.
Ellie was about to reassure the boy before her, when he seemed to doubt her. "No, no no no...thats not what I'm doing at all." Ellie said, rash in her speech. She didn't want Dan doubting her for another second. "Yes, to both, to everything..." Ellie was going to add on "to anything" but something stopped her. She pushed the feeling away into the back of her head, and now focused on everything in front of her. The everything was Dan, and it was everything she needed.
Ellie hadn't been to Hogsmeade in ages. She thought of all the things she wanted to do. Visit Honeydukes, get a butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks, all the things she had loved to do, and had done with her friends. However, now Ellie discarded all those things from her mind. She didn't want to share Dan with anyone. For some reason she didn't want any prying eyes, she didn't want any questions asked, she didn't want any challenged for his attention. She was greedy. She wanted more of her drug.
"Well, I was thinking we could go to the Shrieking Shack." Ellie said, blushing a bit at the thought of being alone with Dan. "I mean not just go up to it, but I've never been inside." Ellie said, thinking it was the perfect place for them to be alone where no one would bother them.
[ok, soooo its up to you if you want to end the thread here and move to Hogsmeade, or you can post and i'll start....w/e....[/babble]

If you had a time turner and had nothing to do for a morning and just sat turning it over and over you might just have turned it enough and end going back thirteen years you would have met this particular Dan Hubbles walking down a corridor with his arms full of books, two bags on his back and a red haired girl at this side. His girlfriend Offley would be chatting away to him and Dan being the loving boyfriend he was just listened intently and looking adoringly at Offley. Fast forwarding to the present and there is Dan walking down the corridor, his arms full of books and a girl at his side who he looked upon but maybe not in the same doting way, in fact there was a slight glint in his eye that would nor be a miss in the look of a Slytherin. However the girl at his side however seemed to love him. Her stuttering about how she did not mean to cause him any offence just reassured Dan how much he cared for him, which seemed to cause this strange feeling that made him feel…well whole…but Dan believed that it was nothing about him falling ‘in love’ with her.
Ellie however was more confident and determined with her answer to where they would be going, although her answer did take Dan slightly by surprise. The Shrieking Shack was not really a place he expected a female Hufflepuff to suggest on, what he would be referring too as their first date. However the fact she said she had not been inside brought a cheeky smile to his face, the thought of getting close to Ellie made the seventeen year old boy smile. Shuffling the books so he could hold them in one hand he reached down and once more took hold of Ellie’s hand and gave it a small reassuring squeeze.
“Course we can.” He shot her a cheeky smile. “Glad I could be with you for your first time.” That was a rather tongue in cheek statement and if this version of Dan had the ability too he was sure he would have blushed yet then again…
(So I decided to break this thread up in two and it continues HERE at ‘If we never go inside’)
