This must have been the longest conversation Dean had ever, ever had with a female! He did not even talk this long to his own mother, it was not that he did not enjoy being home it was just that they never had anything to discuss. Was it a good thing that this was now his longest conversation? At least it was an improvement that he was now able to talk to females, even if he still went bright red and stuttered. He was still finding it hard to look at Cassandra as they talked but although eye contact was a very important thing when talking to someone it was something that Dean thought was hellishly over rated. Of course this conversation was helped out a lot by the fact that Cassandra was doing all the talking, which may have bugged some people but Dean was perfectly happy to let her go on and on.
He listened closely to what she had to say about being from a wizarding family, although she told him it was nothing amazing he still could not help but feel slightly envious. She most likely had known about this place before she arrived, knew about everything…but then Dean had always guessed that had fuelled his want for learning. He wanted to know EVERYTHING about the wizarding world in ear of being left behind in classes.
It was then when the questions where aimed back at him again and what she asked was not as simple as ‘how many brothers do you have?’ it was complex, thought provoking even. A small frown pinched his brow and with his hands dug deep into his pockets the Hufflepuff simply shrugged his shoulders. “I-I have n-not really th-thought about it.” His mouth went dry as the realisation sunk in, he was going into his sixth year at Hogwarts not knowing what he wanted to do. “M-Most likely st-stay in the wizarding world.”
He could not imagine giving this up now that he had found it. To go back to a world where he would have to conceal what he was an live a ‘normal’ life was just not what he wanted to do. It seemed that Cassandra had sensed his uneasiness and was now muttering something about asking her questions. Trying to lift his head and give her a small side ways look Dean attempt to make eye contact. “Wh-what about you then? What j-job would you like?”
