Name: Dream Grey Salinas

Personality: Very mischievous. Always willing to help a friend in need, but capable of cruelty when provoked. Loves to get into trouble and since she's bored A LOT, it's something that manages to find her even when she isn't looking for it! She can't stand first years, mostly because they are insufferable know it alls who all think that they are more powerful than people who have had more time to learn magic then them. She's been known to befriend them though when she's forced to be around them long periods of time, although she'll never admit it.
Appearance: Slender, standing about 5'6" tall. Has long red hair and bright jade green eyes which are usually sparking in anger or twinkling impishly. Loves to wear long gypsy skirts that reach the ground with a tank top and runs around barefoot whenever possible.
History: Dream's father is the Headmaster from another wizarding school. Her mother was Head of her house until moving to Paris on a top secret mission from the Ministry. Her grandfather was an Auror and her grandmother was an author of children books. They were a wealthy family that had connections in just about every part of the Wizardry World. Dream was raised to be very proud of her heritage and could sound almost snobbish when speaking of muggles and wizards of mixed blood. It wasn't from her thinking that she was better than them though. It was just that nothing about the muggle world made sense to Dream, and she couldn't understand when mix blooded wizards and witches didn't use magic whenever possible.
When Dream was five years old, she had wandered out of the house and out from under her nanny's watchful eye. She wandered across the grounds of her family estate and down to the creek that babbled on the edge of the surrounding woods. Suddenly she was gripped by a feeling of pain and hunger. She couldn't understand what was going on, but a primal instinct inside of herself pushed her to walk farther into the woods. Soon she came across an injured mountain lion. It hissed at Dream as it eyed her hungrily. She could somehow feel it's thoughts and knew that it was thinking about what easy prey she seemed to be. She didn't know what possessed her but she continued to walk toward the large cat, holding it's gaze almost hypnotically. The cat growled softly but she could feel it's confusion. She kept repeating in her mind that she wasn't going to hurt it, and only wanted to help. Somehow the cat understood and held still, it's body quivering with the need to attack, as little Dream pulled a huge thorn out of it's bloody paw. Dream placed her hand on the mountain lion's head and told it to go with her and she would get it some food. Again the cat understood her and they slowly made their way back to the house. Her nanny and mother were searching for her frantically and her nanny fainted dead away at the sight of Dream walking beside an animal that was almost as big as her. Her mother quickly assessed the situation and put the cat under a spell, calling for Dream's father to take care of the cat. Dream's mother looked at Dream cautiously but without surprise. Later that evening her mother told her that she was the second Animal Telepathic to be in their family, and that when she learned how to use her power properly, she would be able to read and control the thoughts and actions of all animals. As Dream grew up and mastered her power, she learned that she could talk to and read the minds of all animals including animaguses when in their animal form, however she could not control the actions of animaguses and magical creatures.
When Dream was a first year she met a fourth year Slytherin named Remy Salinas whom she was instantly attracted to, however due to house differences they both tried to deny their feelings. They fought each other all the time, and Remy almost succeeded in killing Dream before they finally came to terms with each other and managed to behave civilly to each other. Since Remy was the one who ended up saving her after trying to kill her, she felt it was only fair to forgive him. After she got revenge of course.
Remy left school in his fifth year, never telling Dream why he left or where he went. Dream continued on with her schooling, pushing Remy to the back of her mind and dating casually from time to time. During the summer after her fifth year, she and her aunt Dana vacationed abroad. During these travels she met up with Remy again. This time they managed to get it right. They got married almost immediately and being impetuous as only the young can be, they were expecting a child by the end of the summer. Dream had already passed her OWLS so she decided not to go back to school. She and Remy had a daughter that they named Brittany Embers Salinas. However tragedy soon struck the young Salinas family. During a fire that destroyed their home, Brittany was killed. Or so Dream and Remy thought. Dream went more than a little berserk with the loss of her child and only Remy kept her from being committed to St. Mungo's. Eventually she learned to live with the loss, and she and Remy went on with their lives, although Dream refused to have another child. Then one day Remy got an OWL from his much younger sister who was now attending a wizarding school. She had a new roommate at school who reminded her a lot of Dream and Remy. After doing some investigating, reports showed that it was their daughter Brittany. She had been rescued by muggles and had been adopted into a muggle family who had loved her well. The Salinas family was reunited and soon they were closer than ever. Dream and Remy decided that they would go back to school together to finish their last two years. It had been something that they had both regretted and they were financially comfortable enough to indulge themselves.
