Ellie looked up at Dan and saw his eyes watch the sand as it poured through his fingers. His eyes were so tired lately, and Ellie couldn't blame them. The Headmaster had been through the ringer since she had met him. The world was not as kind as Ellie had once thought it to be, and Dan Hubbles was the perfect example of the toll it had on people.
As the last bit of sand fell out of his hands Ellie, smiled at Dan's remark, and let them go and turned away. Nothing could ever be as simple as that. Ellie knew that when ever they went back, whatever had just happened would fade away into a world of complication. Right here, right now, Ellie felt the wind on the nape of her neck and smelt the sea air in her lungs. She didn't want to think about the sinking feeling in her stomach or the headache she had left behind.
Ellie laughed. "Nothing. Absolutely nothing." She watched Dan collapse in the sand and sat down next to him burying her feet int he sand. "I guess there can be nothing." She said in a hopeful matter. "Nothing to think about, or care about, or feel. Nothing but yourself in your own head." Ellie lay back feeling the sand get in her hair. She didn't even care.
She closed her eyes and felt herself spinning again until she felt Dan move slightly beside her. She opened her eyes and sighed. "What am I going to do?" She said softly. "Life's not like this. I can't stay here forever." Thought deep down in Ellie's heart she wished she could just runaway, but it just wasn't plausible, not now, not on the brink of a storm. [/lame]

The warm evening air blew in around Dan, he could feel his loose shirt flapping around, small grains of sand that were caught in the breeze crashing onto his face and getting caught in his thick layers of stubble. It felt like the night time air was waking his senses, blowing away the cobwebs and alcoholic fuelled world. As he continued to stare at the star light sky above Dan could not help but let common sense kick in as he listened to what Ellie had to say, her concerns reminded him of how big the worlds problems where but also how when you are a teenager and about to finish school how scary everything is! Dan tried to think back to when he was a teenager and everything in the world was big and scary and how he dealt with it all…then he remembered he ran away from everything and turned to drink. Some example he was!
Rolling over onto his side Dan turned to face Ellie, propping his head up with his hand, his eyes surveying her small frame up and down as he listened to what else the Hufflepuff had to say. Admittedly their high paced, high passion moments from before had past to something a bit more sombre but Dan did not find, he was not as young as he used to be and a slower pace suited him.
“No you can’t stay here forever.” Dan muttered sombrely as the little cogs in his brain ticked over. “However, I have always believed that we all have a path that we follow. No matter how often we stay off it at some point we will always end up back on it. Now you, your path is still new and freshly made and easy to stick to and get back onto if you do happen to wander off. While mine however is getting worn away by too many winters, cracks are appearing and those random weeds are somehow growing through it and when I do stay off the grass is so thick and wild that I can’t find my way back easily. So don’t give up just yet on life, enjoy it while the way is still clear.”
It was a little bit of a ramble, making the Professor sound a bit more like an old man sitting in his chair sucking hard boiled sweets then a 30 something man still in the prime of his life. It was moments like that which Dia would have said Dan had his ‘Headmaster Hat’ on where for once he acted like the adult he was meant to be! However as always with any Hubbles a moment of maturity is normally ruined by a moment of complete and utter stupidity. And that was just what Dan was about to do right now, so instead of staying away a sensible distance from Ellie he decided to move in a little bit closer, so close in fact that their bodies where now touching and he draped his free arm over her waist and smiled down at her.
“You have so much in your life to give Ellie.” He muttered quietly. “I want you to stay at Hogwarts; I don’t know what I will do without you around.” And once again Dan Hubbles lowered his head and gently kissed Ellie on the lips.

Running away had seemed like such a good idea. But now that Ellie had gotten her wish, she didn't feel any better. She just felt the distance between her mind and reality. Life was getting more and more complicated as she got older. Maybe one day it would even out, but now the world was spiraling around her.
Or was that the drink?
The next thing Ellie knew, Dan had moved closer. His arm was wrapped around her middle. It was comforting, keeping her from floating away on her thoughts. She smiled. She felt as though she never wanted him to let her go, even though he was her headmaster, her teacher, her best friend.
"I don't want to leave Hogwarts either." Ellie said. She was going to say she didn't want to leave him, but that is what came out. Her eyes gave away what she truly wanted to say, but to her, even though he was lying next to her, Dan was still a school girl's fantasy. He wasn't real. Just as real as the younger version of himself that was a ghost.
But all that doubt melted away as Dan kissed Ellie again. Ellie returned the kiss, kissing him again, not wanting him to stop. She didn't want to talk anymore. She let herself give into the fantasy that she was living. She wanted the passion. She wanted the heat. Ellie would wake from her dream in the morning, and that is how it would remain, a dream.

It was one of those moments when a kiss could say a million things. In the case of Dan Hubbles it only normally meant that he was thinking with his dick and wanted to quench the lust that was burning within. It would have been a lie to say that this was not happening now, he may have been 30 something and he may have been kissing an 18 year old pupil at his school but only a fool would deny the beauty that was Ellie Rook.
His longing and lusting was only increased when the Hufflepuff started to kiss him back with as equal amount of passion…but there was something else, something Dan could not put his finger on. But that did not matter; all that mattered was the fact that they stood on his secluded beach under starlight in each others arms. Without breaking the kiss Dan pulled Ellie into him, wrapping his arms around Ellie’s slim body making sure she could not wiggle free, however the Professor had a feeling that this would not be an issue.
After what felt like an eternity yet no time at all Dan broke away from Ellie and stepped back a step so that he was able to take in her full beauty. There were so many things Dan wanted to do to her and hardly any of them were suitable for anyone else to hear. But despite all the passion that was bubbling inside of him that little voice in the back of Dan’s head spoke up. It did not however tell him to stop due to his wife sitting back at home, or because Ellie was his student and it was just wrong, or by doing this his job would be on the line…no, that little voice told him that having his way with Ellie on the beach would not be the sensible thing to do.
“Ellie…erm…” Dan nervously ran his hand over his chin, feeling the prickles of the stubble upon the palm of his hand. “Do you want to find somewhere a bit more private?” A small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth as he thought about the prospect of a night with Miss Rook. “I am sure there will be a hotel on this island we could…”
It was then an idea ran through the Professor’s mind, one that really meant playing with fire. Why should he spend money when there was a perfectly good bed sitting empty in a house, yes admittedly it was his parent’s house but they were in German visiting his Uncle so they would not be disturbed. Perfect.
Quickly grabbing hold for Ellie’s hand they apparated together for the second time that night and they ended up standing in a muggle housing estate, the dim glow of the street lights created an eerie atmosphere as the silence that filled the street was suddenly broken but a ginger cat darting from under a parked car to a nearby bush. Still clinging onto Ellie’s hand Dan dragged her along the pavement towards a small semi-detached house that was situated in the middle of the street. It was only with a tap of his wand that the yellow front door swung open and with another flick all the lights of the house turned on. The narrow hallway walls were lined with family portraits all waving down and smiling at Dan as he proceeded straight on into the kitchen.
“Can I get you a drink Ellie…maybe something to eat?”
It would have been easy to act like a caveman and drag Ellie to his old bedroom however he still felt attached to this place, it was his childhood home and the urge to be a good host temporarily overrided his lustful urges.
(OC: blah! Sorry about the crapness)

The feeling that was swelling inside Ellie as she let all of her troubles and problems go for a moment of pure happiness was an emotion she would never be able to put her words to. It wasn't love. Ellie could confess any day to anyone that she loved Dan Hubbles, and no one would blink twice at the suggestion. This was something different. Ellie would not know this until her twenties, but it was something the world like to call lust. Pure lust. One of the seven deadly sins, and deadly it was.
Ellie felt that her knees were going weak, but the break from the kiss steady her. Dan's arms wrapped around her like a cocoon. She felt safe. Their hearts were beating together, both a little faster then they would on a normal evening. Ellie nuzzled her head into Dan's chest. It was warm and comforting. The only thing that Ellie would let herself think was: happy, happy, happy.
More privet? Something deep in Ellie, and low down, screamed YES!!!! Ellie nodded with a smile on her face. "Actually there is a hotel..." But Dan grabbed Ellie's hand and again she was swept into the strange world of apparition. Ellie wanted to grab close to Dan, but she couldn't, and when they landed in front of the quaint house, Ellie had to take time to figure out where they were.
It was not Hogwarts, as Ellie thought. She looked up and down the street. It looked like the kind of place that she had always dreamed of living when she was growing up. Instead Ellie had lived in a tent, a igloo, a tepee, eight condos, seven apartments, three hotels, two motels, and a cave once. Just the idea of the house made Ellie smiled.
The next thing Ellie knew she was in the house, and a hallway lined with family pictures. Ellie tried to look at them, but Dan hastily ushered her into the kitchen. Ellie rested her hands on the counter he parked her in front of. She smiled. "Water?" she asked.
"Hey, Dan, do you think I was supposed to get a signed permission slip to leave the school grounds?" Ellie laughed, but then she realized that she probably just ruined everything. She had brought up the awkward teacher/student relationship that she had been trying to ignore. Therefore, she did the only thing she could think of to hide her mistake.
Ellie jumped Dan's bones.
