That will be funny telling Rupert he cant come to filming because he has to get naked on a stage.

I wonder how Dan must feel knowing that the only reason most people (or should I say girls) will be going to see the play is to see him frolic like a crazed but-flapless Tarzan. It's got to be degrading to have this stigma attached to you just because you were in a pretty popular movie. It's got to be hard! Though, they always say that no one treats 'em differently - ha! poppy-cock I say!

I don't think Dan would see it as a burden or humiliation - I mean, he chose this role over all roles, didn't he? He wants to be seen. Maybe he doesn't have any issues with it? He probably got tired of everyone saying he couldn't act, and decided to go for a role that didn't focus on his face so much. =P

haha maybe he is doing it to build up his ego. I can just imagine and interview. Interviewer: So Dan you can not act, Why do a play? Dan: I may not be able to act but look at this. (stands naked on stage with his hands on hips.)
Anyway is it definite or not?

I stil think its a shame, that for all the talented and amazing actors in Harry Potter - the lead role went to a complete moron. There are MILLIONS of guys out there would could have done it perfectly!

Sorry to jump into this but i dont think he got the role because of how he acts.
TBH i dont think he could act but dan in HP films looks like i thought he would from the books. I think he got the role because of the way he LOOKS like Potter.

Prolly - but there are so many messy haired boys out there.
I saw an interview with one of the casters once, and he said he was in a theatre, and Dan walked by and he thought that he had some sort of major potential. :S Clearly he was mistaken...

Its when hes trying to be angry or in pain and just grits his teeth that makes me laugh. He has no other expression!

Its true! He does always have the same expression for everything. And it doesnt make sense to smile on that photo =P
When he spits out his drink in GOF xDD Its just so stupidly funny.. I was hysterically laughing in the cinema and fell off my chair!
Apparently, Rowling helped to get him the part, because he looked right.

I really don't have anything against Dan, he's probably just a weird strange creepy, but prefectly nice guy.
But he can't act, ur right, in one of the deleted scene from the 4th movie.. he says, "He's getting stronger.. (grunt/whine/moan) i can feel it".... I was just like.. it's just sooo bad... i was dying. (also the "i love magic" line gets me)
