Jackson was in his classroom writing a note to pin on the classroom door for his students. He hadnt told them what this lesson would be, Jackson never did, he liked to keep the students guessing rather than just come right out and say what the lesson was, where was the fun in having no kind of elemental surprise? Once he had finished his note, he picked up the hiking bag with clothes, food supplies and other bits and bobs and headed out of the door, locking the classroom door and pinning a note to it which read:
Obviously the Headmaster would be here to oversee things, with it being a three day camping trip Dan had suggested to Jack that he tag along and make sure none of the students become unruly, honestly, Jack was more worried Dan would let himself loose a little bit too much over this course and become the unruly one. Though, Jack could honestly say this three day trip was about fun as much as it was about learning, so as long as nobody put themselves in any type of real danger while they were in Alaska, there was no reason for them not to have a bit of fun.
His hiking boots clamped loudly on the marble floor, his thick winter beige jacket making Jack feel very warm and uncomfortable inside the castle, a thick wooly scarf was woven around his neck. They would all be heading into hogsmeade and then taking a portkey from there to the snowy mountains. Anyone who shown up late, well tough luck. Jack stood outside the great hall feeling a little bit like a moron as he waiting for his students and Dan.
(Anyone who shows up after they get to Alaska, just play it as though you got the portkey with them and dont apologize for being late play it as though you have always been there)

Bray had finally broken her and she agreed to sign up for Defense Against the Dark Arts with him. Why the boy just couldn’t do it himself was beyond her, but an extra class wouldn’t hurt. One of the things that annoyed the girl was the fact that the Professor refused to tell his class what exactly they would be doing. Felicity hated not knowing what was going to happen so she could plan around it. Maybe for that reason it was easier to understand why she wasn’t as eager to walk into the classroom, because for all she knew she would be ambushed by a boggart or something.
Fay stopped with her hand half extended toward the door and blinked at the sign. Alaska? That was certainly…er…random. And the fact that the Headmaster was coming along seemed rather random as well. But, then again, this did seem right up Dan’s alley. Crazy adventure time! It seemed so…Hubblesish, if that was a word. With a groan, she turned around and made the long trudge back up to the Ravenclaw common room.
She’d warn Bray about the packing, but he seemed to have disappeared from the common room. Maybe he was already on his way down to the classroom. With a small shrug, Felicity made her way up the stairs and opened the door to her room. Fay barely paid attention to what she was packing, she just kind’ve grabbed random long sleeved shirts and pants and shoved them into her bag. Felicity pulled out her wand and mumbled a spell, shrinking the contents of her bag so they fit into her shoulder bag instead. She pulled on her boots and grabbed up her jacket and scarf. With a final glance around the room, Felicity turned around and made her way out the door.
It didn’t take long for her to arrive at the Great Hall. Felicity pushed open the door, wincing as it made a large groan and creaked, announcing her presence. Fay glanced around, and was rather disappointed to see that no one else was around. Wow, she was the first one here…again. After another glance around, she finally walked further enough to actually be in hearing distance of Professor Shaw. “Afternoon Professor.” She gave a small wave before stopping near him. “How’s your day been Professor?” Felicity murmured out of courtesy, because otherwise standing around in silence would be awkward.

After basically inviting himself along on the hike after Jackson had pitched the idea of his lesson to him Dan had not stopped talking about hiking in the Alaskan mountains. In fact he could not help but getting the feeling that when he kissed Dia goodbye that she was almost happy to see him go in the hope of getting some peace and quiet. But Dan over looked this small factor as he jogged down from his office, huge rucksack on his back, heavy walking boots echoing his steps around the corridors and a wide grin on his face. It was going to just be like the old days on his travels around Europe, although this time he would not be getting blind drunk and he had the responsibility of looking after the students.
Dan hoped down the last few steps and strode over towards the very small group that had gathered by the door in the Entrance Hall, well it was not really a group…just Felicity Lock and Professor Shaw. Dan guessed that everyone else must still be packing!
“Good Afternoon Jackson. Good Afternoon Fay. Nice to see you are bright and early.” He gave the Ravenclaw a wide smile and he pulled the strap on his rucksack to make it tighter and to stop the straps from slipping off his shoulder. “I take it your looking forwards to our little exhibition?”

Sarie started at the board. She had never been out of the country before she ran back to her dorm. She smiled going though her things. She couldn't find her winter cloak. She pulled out all of the things trying to find it. She had to empty it to find it on the bottom of her thunk. She wouldn't bring her trip. She pulled out her bag.
People might think that this wasn't big enough to carry much except books. Well they where wrong. She could carry all of her books and still have room for more. Professor Potter had put a charm on it for her. She packed every thing she needed. She looked rather funny dressed in every thing she needed. Her scarf, hat, gloves all gryffindor colors of course.
She hopped down the stairs getting funny looks as she past other people. She reached the Common room and soon became the center of attention. "Thimble where are you going?" Asked one of the older students. She was by the fat lady now. She threw her hand into the air and said. "I'm going to Alaska!" Then she left without another word.
Heading back down she skipped with her bag expanded she was carry less weight than she did on a normal school day. She hummed as she reached the great hall. She didn't really see any one she was one of the early ones she was glad.

Some people really had some nerve these days. Bray was only going through his schedule and trying to get as far away from the potions classroom as he could manage as soon as it let out, and he just happened to run into Lucas. Sure, not that big of an issue since the lad was rather cool.. or he was until he decided that it would be hilarious to hit him with an 'aguamenti', declare that he smelled like a wet cat, and stalk off as if it were nothing. Now he was soaking wet. Oh, quite hilarious!
As he went towards defense against the dark arts, his only thoughts were that he really wished that he would be allowed to blow things up this class and was quite disappointed to see that it wasn't the case. 'Alaska?' The only thing he really knew about the place was that it was cold and that Bray didn't own cold-weather clothes. After all, he was warm-blooded and didn't really even need much more than a sweatshirt to keep himself warm. Making his way back to the common room, he quickly and with no particular attention to neatness, shoved a few sweatshirts and a couple pairs of jeans into his old rucksack. Then came the heavy lifting when he had to dig through his trunk until he reached the bottom where he found his coat and scarf that his mother demanded that he bring every year, only for it to sit and rot with uselessness.
"Does this thing even fit anymore?" He mumbled, eying the shortness of the sleeves skeptically. After all, it wouldn't be highly effective if he had to push up the sleeves of his coat. Bray quickly decided he didn't like the look of the thing and tossed it carelessly onto his already messy bed before slinging his bag over his shoulder.
As he strolled casually into the Great Hall, he was obviously expecting more people to be there already and couldn't help but chuckle to see Fay looking awkward as she stood between Professor Hubbles and Shaw. Making his way over there to relieve her of her position, he just put on a smile and nodded a greeting to them. "So who's the brilliant mind that came up with this plan?" He said seriously, though no one would take it as such if they knew of his sarcastic track record.

Julianna walked to the Defense against the dark arts class room. She had been hoping for a great lesson on some means of defense against the wizarding scum of the earth. Julia could see herself using some of those spells on Professor Edgecombe, watching the Divinations professor fly into a wall sort of gave her great joy. Lucky no one was around that could hear her thoughts she just might get expelled, not that she felt bad about it...Anyway she had to get in a learning mood not a revenge mood.
As she went to open the door and let herself in she found that there was a note attached she thought perhaps class was canceled what was she going to do for the next few hours if that was the case. Deciding to finally read the note it included some rather interesting instructions. Reading the note over and over to make sure hadn't become inept at reading Julianna smiled to herself. Doing a total about face she ran back to her dorm room to get all the things the professor requested.
Her friends thought she was loopy running in the room the way she did. They were all like, "Don't you have class now" to which Julia got to reply "Yup but I get to go on a hike in Alaska what do you get to do today?" Laughing as she packed Julia didn't bother looking at the others whose mouths were hanging open. Giving then a hearty "ta ta" she left the room and headed for the the Great Hall to meet with the professor and the rest of the class. "Hello professor" she said when she arrived, and she gave a happy hello to all the other students standing there.

It was way too early to be rising for class at this time. Mona did not enjoy waking up in the mornings, she always felt groggy and messy until she had got clean and eaten breakfast and had chance to wake up for at least half an hour. No chance of any of that today though as she looked over to her clock and saw she was going to be late for her first class. Cursing, she threw back the covers and threw on some boyish jeans and a thick jumper. It was nearing cooler weather and Mona didn't like to be cold, instead she liked to be toasty and be out in the cold weather so she had a mixture of heats.
Grabbing her schoolbag she ran out from the common room and to the DADA classroom so fast that she almost didn't stop as she ran to the door. As he nose almost touched the note pinned to the door she focused her eyes to read it. "Alaska?! At this time of year? Is he trying to kill us!?" she sighed as she turned around and ran, bag smacking against the side of her thigh, back to the dorm room to pack.
Stuffing in a couple more jumpers and jeans and some boots along with underwear and the like, all the supplies were not in particularly neatly as she flipped over the flap on her rucksack and zipped it up. 'At least there's no writing involved I guess' she pondered to herself as she slipped on her hiking boots and a thick fur lined coat. By now with all the running she was still slightly out of breath and so she decided to walk briskly to the great hall. Seeing a small formation gathering, Mona began to feel slightly nervous at the prospect of being stuck with people who she didn't necessarily know well for 3 whole days, with no chance of escape. Walking up to the crowd, she caught the eye of a Ravenclaw girl and boy and gave them both a small smile and a raised hand, an attempt of a wave. "Hi" she spoke so quietly it just looked like she had mouthed it, before standing near the professor as she awkwardly shuffled and re-adjusted her bag strap. [/blockquote]

For some reason today, Siegfried was up way before he normally was. Lesson didn’t start for another hour and a half and as he showered and packed his bag for the day, he still had an hour left to relax. Sighing, he hated being the first in class; it gave the impression that was desperate and eager, which he wasn’t. He didn’t like to give that desperation aura to himself, it just didn’t work. Taking a stroll to the great hall for breakfast, he ate a hearty and meaty breakfast before finishing his glass of orange juice and hearing a commotion outside. Walking out, wiping his hands free of crumbs he overheard the class was the DADA class and looking at his watch, he realised that it was his class. Overhearing they were going to Alaska, he realised why they had their bags, and soon strolled off to the common room to pack.
Coming back, swaggering towards the group with his rucksack on one shoulder, he walked up to them and manoeuvred through them to stand at the front of the crowd. Looking around at who was there so far, he spotted Mona, a rather quiet slytherin, which didn’t make sense. Still, each to their own right?
“Good Morning Professor, Headmaster, fellow classmates” he said the latter rather arrogantly. “Alaska then is it?” He stated more of it that being a question it was obviously more of a statement. He gave a small sly and smug smile before looking around at his fellow classmates again as his eyes fell upon a Gryffindor girl, he was unsure of her name. “It’s a pity she’s a Gryffindor, but wow” he said nudging the small male Ravenclaw with his elbow in attempt at ‘polite conversation’. Looking over to the girl standing next to him he smiled wickedly. “She’s not bad either”

Ellie wasn't necessarily excited for Defense Against the Dark Arts. Sometimes she just viewed it as fake Charms class. Nothing could replace that class in her heart, though DADA gave it a run for its money some days. Perhaps today might be one of those days, Ellie thought as she read the note pinned to the door of her normal classroom. Alaska. Ellie was sure that was somewhere near Canada. She had lived in Canada once, though only for a short time. It was pretty boring, nothing much to do. However, Ellie had never heard of this country of Alaska?
She walked down to place where the class was gathering. It would be nice to get away from the castle. The stone walls and the cold echos had been getting to her lately. Ellie hadn't slept much in recent days. The large bags under her eyes, a pale color where pink usually stood on her cheek, and her lazy pony tail pulling up her waves could prove that. She wasn't sure how much longer she could stand this insomnia, but something was keeping her up at night. Something dark and cold. She didn't like it much.
Joining the small group around the portkey, Ellie smiled as she spotted Fay...and Bray, but smiled more brightly as she spotted Professor Hubbles. Luckily Fay was right by the Professors and Ellie could greet all of them at once! She walked over, her tired smile trying to seem happy.
"Hi Fay!" She said, giving her friend a warm hug. She hadn't seen the Ravenclaw it what seemed like centuries, and somehow in the hug, Ellie didn't feel half as bad as she was. "Bray, How are you?" She asked ,really wondering how he was doing.
She turned to Professor Hubbles, "Professor, recovering well?" She said, referring to their escaped in the hallways earlier in the month. She was sure everyone knew about the battle between metal and wizard, but she wasn't going to go about shouting it to the world if she didn't have too. She gave him a warm smile non-the-less.
Ellie turned toward Professor Shaw, not wanting to leave him out of her greetings. "Hello Professor Shaw. Can I just tell you how grateful I am to get out of the castle!" She said, her cheeks beginning to feel a slight cold as she looked back at the stone towers and archways of the castle.

Bronwyn loved more then anything being out of doors. So when she was told that that they'd be going to Alaska for their DADA lesson Bron ran to the class and saw that this class was indeed going to be as far out of doors as she could possibly get. The Gryffindor was excited and bubbly and nothing could bring her energetic state down. Bron then ran back to her common room and packed a back pack bad that her mother had given her.
From there she trailed behind a few other students and joined the group in the Great Hall. Looking around at everyone who was there, Bron noted the faces, noting that while she recognised some of the faces she didn't know any of them. That didn't matter, there was no better time to get to know people then while hiking in the mountains. Not knowing anyone didn't deter her mood and she beamed brightly at everyone there.
"Hello Professor," Bronwyn greeted brightly, bouncing on her feet, then smiled towards the other man, "Hello Headmaster. Are we going to be going soon?" Bronwyn just wanted to get going, she wanted to leave already, get outside into the air. Then it struck her that they were on the wrong side of the ocean between them and Alaska. Looking around, Ron thought she was the only one who thought this so she decided to ask.
"Professor," she said, looking up at the man as a piece of her fringe fell in front of her blue eyes, "how are we going to get to where we're going?"

Standing in front of the Great Hall dressed as he was, he was certainly recieving some very odd stares. He thought about this three day camping trip with a frown, he knew he students would enjoy it, maybe not so much the cold, but the freedom they would experiance for Jack wasnt just trying to prepare them for Defence, but also for what the world was like and being away from the safety of the castle meant responsibilty to a degree, but much different to what you would experiance in the castle. When he caught sight of Felicity, ravenclaw prefect, he ticked her off the list. "My day has been spent organising the last few ends on this three day trip, and of course trying to find the right kind of clothes for snowy weather." He mused and looked up in time to see Dan walking proudly towards them, Jackson chuckled, Dan had not shut up about his adventuring days since Jack had told him of this idea, and Dan had basically invited himself along, of course, Jack was going to anyway, he'd need an extra set of eyes. "I may need your help from time to time Fay, is that alright?" He asked before Dan got over to them.
"I doubt anyone is looking forward to it as much as you Dan." Jackson laughed as he awaited the arrival of other people. Soon enough, young Sarie Thimble came trotting down, ticking her off the list he smiled again waving her over to the small group. Soon after Sarie came young Reed, once more Jacksons quill scratched the parchment as he put a tick next to his name. Hearing what Bray said, Jack beamed, "Mine of course," It was obvious to anyone that Jack himself was looking forward to this too, "Besides, it gives you a chance to get away from the castle, have a bit of fun and learn. What would you prefer? Being stuck in a classroom copying from books or being in Alaska having a snowball fight?" Of course there would be strict rules, and of course learning aswell, but Jack wasnt about to go overboard and deny the students a bit of fun.
Three more arrived, Julianna, Mona and Siegfried. Jackson tried as best he could to avoid saying the Slytherins first name, he could never pronounce it right. "Good Morning Wolfsbane, yes, we're off to Alaska." Next came Ellie Rook, a student Jackson knew to be responsible, one he knew he wouldnt have to worry about. Ticking off more names he watched as the gathering became larger. "Hello Ellie," Jack grinned at the girl, but then giving a little chuckle, "Well I'm glad to be of help then." A Gryffindor came along next, and he ticked her off his list too, pushing the list back into his coat pocket. "We'll be leaving in a minute, once a few things have been explained."
Once he was sure he had everyones attentions he said, "We'll be heading down into Hogsmeade, a portkey has been set up in the Three Broomsticks for us, we cant be late or we will miss it. Once we're in Alaska, it will be cold, snowy and you will all get the urge to have snowball fights, I must ask you to refrain until we find a safe place to set the camp up. This trip is not just about having fun and being away from responsibilities, I expect each of you to behave yourselves," Eying the Slytherins as he said this, "And all of you to get along, leave all your problems behind, here in the castle, I dont want them on the trip. We're studying Trolls, there's quite a few of them in Alaska if you know where to look, and anybody who knows anything about trolls is they are not nice creatures, thick as a plank of wood, true. But they are dangerous and I dont want any of you taking unnecessary risks. We will study them from a distance, see how they behave with eachother and away from here." His seriousness dissapeared, "When we are not studying, we will be having fun, once the study time is over you can have as many snow ball fights as you like. So, lets go."
Jackson headed to the three broomsticks where the Portkey was and told everyone to put a finger on it. It was an old lamp that no longer worked. After a few seconds of feeling stupid, he felt the tug behind his naval as the portkey took the class to Alaska, Jack landed on his feet in the thick snow and instantly felt the chill of the air. "Is everyone here?" He asked.
(Anyone arriving after this post, do NOT apologize for being late. Play it as though you have always been here)

Whoever's brilliant plan it was to rip them out of bed at this ungodly hour and throw them into the Alaskan wilderness should be found and AKed immediately. The packing wasn't the problem; Erys had everything packed up before hand, keeping it light even though she wouldn't have a problem with straggling from the group. Everything from her tooth brush to hair products had been added in that morning, after she had been startled awake by the sound of feet thundering around the girls dorm. There were teenyboppers squealing and giggling about how there were some cute Ravenclaw's on the trip--though there were some who were crying about how they had nothing pretty to wear. Idiots. Disgusting idiots. Should have done everything at least the night before! Had they never went on vacation before? This may be far from vacation, but both events involved packing ahead of time. Yeesh. Rubbing her eyes and stretching both arms above her head the Slytherin purred briefly at the strain on her muscles, letting them flop back at her sides as she stood and dodged an oncoming bag someone had Accio'd downstairs. "Mm, watch it." She murmured, but the threat was real enough coming from someone such as herself, and they fitfully backed away with their little pink bag. One girl even dared to use a suitcase. A suitcase. With wheels on the bottom. "I'm surrounded by morons." Erys murmured with a laugh, quickly getting changed and making her face pretty before sweeping her bag from underneath her bunk and hiking it over her shoulder.
Clambering up from the Slytherin common room and joining the others, Erys joined Bray and the Scoobies for a moment or two before the order to touch the portkey was announced. "Dont get eaten by a bear, runt." She shot with a drowsy grin, pinching the skin on the back of her right hand with the hopes of pain waking her up. She'd fall off a cliff at this rate, already asleep before she hit the ground. Ridiculous. Twisting her neck to get the professor in view as he issued the call, she joined the crowd of students and professors as they each pressed the tips of their fingers to the old lamp, and soon they were spinning, soaring into the air as scenery, mountains and trees passed underneath them. After a few brief seconds of this flying it was over, and the majority of younger students hurtled to the ground, landing hard and curling up in short, amusing agony. The older ones however rotated their legs as if riding a bicycle, lightly descending from the sky and landing softly on their feet. (Like Cedric did! :3) "You'll learn it your seventh year, assuming you make it that far." She told Sarie, dusting off non-existent debris from the knees of her jeans as she took her place near Mona and Siegfried. They hadn't spoken much, but they were aware of one another's existence, and being they were in the same house and year they'd probably have to stick together. After all.. Hubbles was on this trip.
The change in atmosphere and smell had her off in her own little world, eyes blank as she inhaled deeply the woodsy, rich scents of the forest and mountains surrounding. Bray, too, would suffer a similar reverence, most likely. There was so much to experiance, so much to.. Smell. This place was amazing. Cold, but amazing. They should be fine if they kept their fur out though, assuming they didn't get eaten by eagles or something.

Post by Paige Matthews on Oct 26, 2008 17:03:26 GMT
Sun streamed into the Hufflepuff dorms. A small sliver or light landed upon a sleeping beauty whose eyes opened to a bright new day. Paige Matthews sat up in bed and stretched finally being used to waking in her new school. Getting up and dressing Paige had to look for her schedule she still didn't have all her classes down yet, finding the piece of paper one of her textbooks she glances down the page seeing that today was Defense class.
Getting there with no problems she was miffed to find a note on the door and no one in the classroom. Wondering if it was canceled she read the whole thing and had to stifle a scream. They were going to Alaska for class, was this actually real? Could they do this? School trips were a foreign concept home school didn't allow for trips with classmates unless you counted your own sister. Hey who in the world cared for whatever reason they were going to Alaska and she was going.
Back in her room Paige found the heaviest jacket she owned, packed a few of the other necessities, tossed on a scarf, earmuffs, and gloves. Trying not to take too long as girls normally do she gave a quick look in her bag to see that she had everything and once satisfied she headed down to the Great Hall. Students were lined up everywhere ready to go. Paige said hello to the professor and stood waiting for the next set of instructions.
They were headed into the village to take something called a portkey. The word sounded familiar but her brain refused to work and tell her what it was, so she had to make an assumption that it was something to get them to Alaska. Another new experience for her.
The reached the village and Paige wondered what they were going to do now. Professor Shaw pointed out and old lamp and told each student to put a hand on it. One of the weirder requests ever heard none the less doing what she was told Paige placed a finger on an open space. Soon there was a pull behind her navel a feeling she didn't quite like, and then the world seemed to fall away. Then thud she landed on her backside in something really cold letting go of the lamp she inclined her head toward the coldness and saw snow lots and lots of snow. "Holy cow." This was so cool Rosa was never going to believe her about this one.

Post by Professor Daniel Hubbles on Nov 4, 2008 16:27:31 GMT
Slowly the students started to trickle down the steps and a rather large gathering of people appeared before Dan’s very eyes. A few seemed to be just as excited as him about the prospects of wondering around the mountains in Alaska, while others…well they did not seem to share their peers enthusiasm. With a wide smile Dan greeted the students when they bothered to heed any attention to him although he gave Ellie a few more seconds of his attention then the others. “I am feeling as good as new Miss Rook; Mr Nish is a miracle worker.”
The headmaster did not say anything else as he stood waiting for the other students to assemble and when Professor Shaw spoke about what they were going to do he felt like he was on of the kids, wide eyed and listening to the teachers instructions letting out a small groan when he mentioned that there would be no snow ball fights when they first got there. He may have been there to help and try and keep order but the more sensible part of Dan’s brain could not help but worry that he would be the one needing to be looked after more then the students. However childish student mode could wait, for now he had to act like the responsible adult and help shepherd the students down towards Hogsmeade.
Making sure that everyone was holding onto the portkey Dan grasped the lamp with less then a second to spare before they went hurtling through time and space. There was a cold blast of air and before Dan could think straight they had popped out into the Alaskan skyline and the snow covered ground was looming a little to fast for his liking. In a normal situation, being the skilled wizard that he was Dan would have been able to elegantly float down to the ground and land on his own two feet, however today he was going face first into a mound of snow.
With a dull thud a muffled expletives Dan pushed himself up from the coldness of the snow, brushing off the clumps of snow that was now sticking to his coat. “I mean to do that.” He reassured those who were around him still trying to act as cocky as ever. “There is nothing more fun in this world then landing headfirst in a mound of snow.” With a small cough the headmaster pushed himself up off the ground and continued to brush the snow off himself although it was a fruitless task seeing as the small white flakes were falling from the sky above.

Post by Jac Shaw on Nov 4, 2008 20:29:30 GMT
It was an unfortunate truth that since taking her apprenticeship Jac had lost all the free time she’d once had. The metamorphmagus didn’t mind, she was learning so much and advancing fast and Chloe seemed to be perfectly happy with that Jac was doing. This was a good thing because it gave her slight leverage when it came to making practical requests, like taking three days off to go on a trip to Alaska that she hadn’t been invited to in the first place.
Yes, that is correct, Jac Biggerstall, the Auror to be, was going along on the field trip that Jackson Shaw had planned. By now it was no secret, their attachment and affections for one another and how did everyone know her? Spontaneous and surprising for sure. She’d been in Hogsmeade early, to visit with the new peeps at the Bird a while before the class arrived at the portkey and went whooshing to the mountains an earth away. Jac was well exited by the thought of going to Alaska, she’d never been and studying trolls? Who could ask for a more entertaining and interesting trip?
When the time came, Jac was out of the Bird and down the street just as the class arrived and she slipped easily into the group, her small size coming in handy. Jac gave Hubbles a wink a second before they were carried magically to the other side of the world, landing easily on her feet, simply walking in. Jac had had much practice with portkeys and had never found the exit difficult. As most lay in heaps, Jac laughed, clearly she was one of the only ones. Even the headmaster had landed on his face.
Chuckling as he grumbled away, Jac offered him a hand, smiling broadly. “Now, now, Hubbles,” Jac chortled, “you’re supposed to be setting the example.” Then Jac looked around for Jack. He too had landed on his feet. Jac ran to him, throwing her arms around his neck and giving him an enormous kiss! right in front of the class. Pulling her head back, Jac’s bright orange and purple hair being quite a bit longer then the last time she’d seen him, Jac grinned broadly at him. “Hi there,” Jac chimed brightly, “surprised?”
