The story should have continued from that point and she should have arrested the two before even that began but something stopped her. Quinn had raised her glass half way to her mouth when Dan piped up. She froze and slowly turned her head to face him, glass still aimed at the head that wasn't there any more. She blinked at him a few times before deciding what to do. She was very conscious of the eyes on her and not just Dan's. Alcis and Barbula in particular seemed very interested in her and Dan's exchange but she paid them no notice.
Just as slowly as she had turned her head, Quinn lowered her glass onto the table in front of her and smiled at Dan. Leaning on her arms, Quinn tilted her head to the side and said, "is that so?" Quinn laughed loudly and turned to Magnus, "you hear that?" she chortled, "he thinks I'm his sweetheart." Magnus clearly didn't expect her to say that for he laughed loud and long, clapped her on the back. Quinn couldn't help herself but laugh with. "A challenge if ever I did hear one, ay Ca-rl!" Magnus guffawed.
Quinn missed Magnus' falter and smiled at Dan. She picked up her glass and downed the contents. The burn in the back of her throat was so intense she thought she had swallowed a hot coal but then it was cold. She slammed the glass on the table and smacked her lips at Dan. "De-licious!" she chucked and waved at the waitress for two more. Magnus was laughing at some joke or something someone had said but Quinn had not heard it. She was staring at Dan as though her life depended on it.
It must have been the light that made Quinn think that Dan could actually be attractive. His striking eyes and well shaped jaw were all enhanced in the light that Quinn might have wanted to do something she would have regretted but she stopped herself when the waitress brought the drinks. "Thanks," she said as the girl scampered off. Quinn picked up her glass and held it poised for his signal. "Here's your chance Hubbles," she taunted, "prove you're better then me."

The man who'd been drinking steadily throughout the conversation, who now wobbled ever so slightly given his inebriated state, was nonetheless a welcome diversion. As he drew Quinn's gaze Catt shared a meaningful look with Magnus, who decided to give a large belch in acknowledgement and try fobbing him off with a poor look of innocence. Catt laughed wryly; things would never change. With a little smile and a shake of his head Catt motioned that no harm was done and Magnus proceeded to snort into his drink and slurp noisily again.
Watching the flirting techniques with a mild interest Catt was simply glad the focus had shifted from him. He loved attention, anyone could tell that from a glance, but there was a little nagging dubt about the woman especially. Then it clicked, it wasn't the woman at all, she was just being conversational and trying to get a story for her paper, no it was the man to her left; Gabit he'd introduced himself as, and had even managed to not slur his words overly. Barbula was another man who seemed eager to gain people's trust, he could in effect trust none of them. He never would have, except good old Magnus of course, he could have guessed old stories would have slipped from his well greased tongue and he expected nothing less, it was the others he had to be more wary of.
Hubbles, that was the flirter's name he'd heard from Amelia, the name rang no bells so plainly he wasn't in Catt's crowd or line of work. Having taken a few vital moments to assess the people around him Catt grinned as Magnus nearly spilled his name, keeping his expression carefully happy, rather than blank, as that would only alert suspicion, Catt chuckled, Magnus was doing a better job of keeping secrets than he'd have thought. "Damn straight, but don't think I won't drink y'all under the table." Grinning Catt knew he'd issued a fresh challenge, but he knew he was up for it, they were all tottering already and he could sure drink.

The sound of the other wizards and witch in the pub seemed to become background noise to Dan, but it did not mean he did not notice them. He looked around focusing mainly on the women and as a waitress came over he shot her a cheesy grin and looked her up and down. She was good looking, had a nice body, a nice smile but it looked like her nose had been broken a few to many times. Dan was half tempted to reach out and pull her onto his lap but Quinn offered him something better, another drink accompanied with a challenge. Forgetting who he was even looking at Dan reached out and took hold of the fire whisky and swirled the liquid around in the glass.
“Dear Amelia you must understand I will always always beat you no matter what you challenge me in. Remember the time with the werewolf.”
If Dan was honest with himself he could not remember much about the night with the werewolf as he got quite a beating and things seemed to be a blur but he was convinced he out preformed Quinn that night, he defiantly got more stuck in, but then that might have been because the werewolf was his sister. Dan’s train of thought was soon shattered by the sound of the other man accepting his challenge and even pushing it forward. With a small grin Dan tore his gaze off Quinn and looked towards the other man.
“Is that so? I have to tell you I am very good when it comes to this type of game. Although I normally get distracted and instead of ending up under the table I am normally upstairs in bed with the most attractive girl in the place.”
With a small laugh Dan shot a quick sideways glance at Quinn before rising his glass to his lips and letting the small shot slip down his throat letting the burning sensation sting for a moment before slamming the glass down on the overcrowd table before wiping his mouth on his sleeve.
“This is too easy. We need a fear factor. I say the loser of each round has to kiss who ever the winner wants them too, if however you then refuse to that you have to take a forfeit of removing an item of your clothing.”
Dan looked around at the rather rosy cheeked people who sat around the table with a weary grin. This game was always better when there was more then one female, however Dan was comfortable with his sexuality enough to kiss a few men. It was up to the others to make the decision if they wanted to sit in a full pub with no clothes on or not.

Elizabeth's eyes grew wide at the turn the conversation had suddenly taken. Looking at Professor Hubbles with shock she began to back away. "Um... I think I'll just leave you all to your little game." she stammered nervously as she began to float away.

He'd guessed Hubbles would have been good at a drinking game; he'd clearly had much practice. Catt guessed he was a regular, he also seemed quite the daredevil, probably rash and impulsive, dangerous to know, and Catt liked it. Perhaps he and Hubbles had more in common than he'd first have thought.
"I shoulda known," he chuckled, eyes brightening, "you seem pretty hardcore, might I say, don't mean others can't get their fair share of the ladies too though." Smirking he nudged Magnus he roared "too true lad, don't take all the girls at once, I'll take the pretty barmaid." He chortled his large girth rolling. Catt winked at the barmaid walked past Magnus with a definite roll of her eyes. "Oh, I'd my heart set on her," Catt moaned looking genuinely upset, but eyes still gleaming as the barmaid blushed slightly and bustled off in a hurry as Magnus looked her way.
"Looks like the ladies still have a thing for you Magnus, don't understand why though." Catt took another glug of his drink as Magnus snorted into his own. "But who's the most attractive here? That's the question." His eyes flickered to Amelia then back to the barmaid as she returned with another, unasked for, drink for Catt, "many thanks, cheers." He cried holding his glass high.
"Now that spices things up nicely, I'm in." Eyes sparkling as all joining the game were given fresh drinks, all stiff firewhiskeys for added potency, the noisy slurping began, mainly from Magnus, and Catt got his drink down a split second before everyone else; just. "Looks like I'm the winner," he laughed, eyes sparkling as he looked about for someone for Dan to kiss, he decided to be fair, "ye can kiss the pretty lady...for a full minute." Magnus snorted and agreed wholeheartedly. "Get smooching then." Catt winked at the pair settling back to ponder upon who his next victim would be...if he won.

Dan grinned at Carl as he agreed to join his challenge, and slowly the other followed, it would make things very interesting although Dan could not help but feel like he should be somewhere else. It was that split second of doubt that made him lose that round of the drinking game, as by the time Dan had put the glass to his lips the man in front of him had finished it and he sat back chuckling look at everyone else.
Putting his empty glass on the table he could feel Carl’s eyes burn through him and Dan knew that he was the one who was going to have to kiss someone. With a nervous smile Dan looked at Magus and decided that he would rather sit in the pub naked then have to kiss that drunk. But much to his relief and to some extent pleasure Carl picked Quinn for him to kiss, although he rules that he has set where slightly more ambitious. To give Quinn a proper full on kiss for a minute would be something and as Dan moved in closer to her he had a moment’s hesitation. That feeling of doubt came back and he paused, he knew he should not be doing this he loved Dia but when has a little bit of harmless fun done any harm?
So with the idea of harmless fun implant in his mind and the hope that Dia would not find out Dan moved in and pressed his lips against those of Quinn’s. He was surprised at first at how warm her lips were, for some reason he was expecting them to be cold like her personality so after this initial shock was over Dan became a little bolder and started to explore. Raising his hand to the back of her head he gave a quick glace at his watch, he was half way there. Just trying to pass the time quicker Dan ran his hand through Quinn’s hair and even brought his tongue into play. In the distance he could hear the cheering and jeers from the other locals and as the second hand on his clock signalled that the minute was up Dan pulled away with a rather wide grin on his face. If that was going to be his forfeit every time he lost then he was tempted to purposely lose a few more rounds.
“Anyone up for another round?”
He looked around at the other faces at the table still unable to clear the smile from his face. After receiving nods from everyone else Dan raised his hand up in the air and signalled to the barmaid to bring some more shots over so they could continue their game.

The werewolves, Quinn rolled her eyes dramatically and sighed heavily at the mention of them. That had been their first meeting and still he insisted on saying that he had bested her there. She knew the truth, why should she have to prove herself to these … drunkards. Absently she sipped on her Firewhiskey as Dan got carried away with his boasting. She utterly despised arrogant men and Dan took the level of any normal arrogant muppet and amplified it to such an extents she feared that his head might explode. He didn’t have the same qualms as she did for Dan kept talking and talking but something he said perked her interest again.
Quinn cursed her competitive nature, or she would in the morning, but for now she let it drive her on. Everyone seemed to want to join but Quinn couldn’t understand why. Surely they didn’t like the idea of having to kiss another man? Before she had realised they were off, leaving Quinn behind and with a full glass. Heaving a sigh of frustration, Quinn glared at Carl. Slippery like a sea serpent, she equated him with when she heard her sentencing. The interest of all the men around the table was pricked and they simply had to watch. How convenient, she growled.
Taking a breath, Quinn threw her drink into her throat and swallowed hard before turning to Dan. The alcohol whirled inside her head before moving to her stomach and it was in that moment that she let herself be kissed by Dan. At first she lent herself to it but then she took control. It was the most interesting kiss she had had in ages and when it was over Quinn licked her lips. The barmaid had brought the drinks when Quinn sat back in her chair and she didn’t wait to be handed a drink. She scooped one off the tray and threw her head back with the drink rinsing her mouth before moving down her throat.
“I’m up for another.” Quinn didn’t much like being out of control of herself but here she was willing to make an exception. With considerable forethought the barmaid had brought too many drinks. Quinn took another and raised it into the air as the signal. She threw it quickly down and brought her glass clattering onto the table before any other. “Ha!” she spurted out loudly with a giggle. She looked around the table to choose her victims but didn’t have to. She knew who she was going to choose but she wanted to make them sweat a little before she spoke. “Carl,” she said playfully, “your turn.” She giggled evilly before adding, “I want you to kiss … Dan!” She shot the two men a charmed smile before bursting into joyful laughter along with many others at the table.

As the pair began their kissing, over only a moments hesitation he noticed Catt smirked, they'd be enjoying that too much in the state they were in. He couldn't be sure just how in control they still were, but so far their tongues weren't slipping overly, except between each other of course.
Instead of gawping at the kiss with a deep longing; like others at the table Catt spoke hurriedly to Magnus, keeping a half interested look at the pair. "Keep stum about me, well my activities shall we say?" Magnus's eyes flew about struggling to focus upon Catt fully now, "s..sure tha..thing matey," he slurred his speech with the last round having gone straight to his head.
Putting his mind to puzzling over Amelia and Dan the kiss ended and the next round began; "course we're all in," cried Catt as he began to tilt back his glass a shadow moved past the window, the faintest glimmer of a pearly white face, choking upon the shot it sprayed out at all his fellow drinkers, coughing to clear up his ragged gasp and startled look Catt bent double as if choking whilst Magnus clapped him fiercely on the back; why the hell werethey here?
"Ye can stop your pounding now Magnus," muttered Catt with a grin as he pushed himself up, only to hear Quinn's challenge. Looking crestfallen his eyebrows raisied as he gave Dan an appraising look, "better you than Magnus," he chortled, receiving a punch to the shoulder by the big man for his quip.
"Come 'ere and pucker up...no tongues mind." Catt chuckled grabbing Hubbles with little hesitation really; given the circumstances. Catt wasn't going to shirk from this; he was kissing Dan as he would do any woman; and Catt could kiss. Head tilted Catt gave Dan his tantalizing kiss, one that women could fall for. Luckily it didn't last long. Breaking contact with a smirk he cried "not bad at all Dan, the women must love you dearly, wouldn't you say he's a decent kisser Amelia?" He asked eyes drifting from her to the barmaid who had a curious expression upon her face, if he didn't know better he'd have hoped she was wondering what his kiss was like.
"Who's gonna smooch next then?" He asked aloud as another tray of drinks arrived, taking up his own he signalled for everyone to throw it back.

Dan had got so close to winning that round, He thought he had managed it, he was convinced he had. That was before he looked down the table and saw Quinn sitting rather smugly with an empty glass in front of her. With a disgruntled huff Dan folded his arms much like an upset child who had lost at his favourite game. Frowning around the table he knew that Quinn was going to tell him to kiss Magnus just as revenge but no she picked on Carl first and Dan could not help but smirk but then as Quinn said that he was to be the one being kissed he looked around flabbergasted. He wanted to try and protest but his brain kicked in telling him it was his idea in the first place and if he backed out now what would everyone think. So with a deep breath Dan pushed his chair out from under the table and leaned over it ready for the kiss.
It was not as bad as he thought it was going to be, Carl was actually a good kisser and Dan knew it would be some lucky lady who got to be kissed by him at the end of the night. So naturally with Carl putting in the effort can thought it would be rude not to at least try to put some feeling into it. And Carl seemed to notice when he offered Dan a rather surprising comment as they sat back down again.
“Right back art you Carl, I likes it how you went left….very cool.”
Flopping back in his chair Dan raised an eyebrow at Quinn and smirked happily at her. It would be no real surprise to hear that Dan enjoyed his kiss with Quinn a lot more then with Carl and he wanted to do it again. It was almost calling to him, he properly would have just thrust himself upon her had it not been for that small bit of common sense that was not sub coming to the vast amount of alcohol they had been consuming. So instead Dan had to satisfy himself by having another drink and attempt to win the kiss the fairest way he could. So as Carl handed around the drinks Dan looked at everyone and on the signal he downed the drink and as quick as possible slammed the glass down on the table. With wide eyes and trying to ignore the burning sensation of the Fire Whisky going down his throat Dan grinned and announced who was to be apart of his forfeit.
“Right Amelia needs to kiss….erm….me!”
Dan turned to face Quinn ready for the protests to start flying in at him, but Dan did not care he had set his sights for this evening on Quinn and when drunk Dan Hubbles wanted something he got it no matter what.

Quinn giggled like an excited school girl when she saw Dan’s face at her challenge. Catt, she knew would not mind but Dan did not seem too keen on kissing another man. Dan didn’t back down though, which impressed Quinn greatly. As Dan moved to Catt, Quinn locked eyes with Magnus and the two burst into laughter again. Gabit and Mole soon joined the laughter as the two men locked lips. It was the strangest, most hilarious thing Quinn had seen in ages. Alcis and Barbula didn’t seem too impressed though but that didn’t hinder Quinn’s glee at all.
Quinn laughed and clapped her drink to the table. “Indeed,” she chuckled to Catt’s comment as she, and everyone else, watched Dan take his seat again, “but still a little shy I think.” Quinn clasped Dan’s chin and squashed his cheeks forcing him to pout. She laughed again when she released Dan’s cheeks and reached for her empty glass. Magnus noticed that she picked up the empty glass and studied it as though wondering if there hadn’t been something in there a moment before. He howled with laughter and Quinn couldn’t help herself and laughed with him.
Next thing she heard Dan say her ‘name’ and she turned her face to him, smiling happily. She laughed again as though Dan had told a funny joke about swans and penguins. His face showed he was serious and Quinn laughed even more at how serious he looked. She put the empty glass down, winked at Magnus who roared with laughter too, and shrugged. “Sure,” she said, smiling at Dan. In this light, Quinn noticed, Dan was very attractive. Or it could be the copious amounts of alcohol I’ve had. Without warning, Quinn reached out and grabbed Dan by the shirt and pulled him into her.
She did enjoy this game, she decided as she pulled Dan into her. She made the passionate kiss last a little longer then comfortable, then released Dan with a satisfied, smug grin on her face. Quinn let go of Dan’s shirt and smiled around the table. Mole was buried in his drink and Alcis and Barbula had taken to talking to each other in hushed voices. Quinn didn’t notice though, she kept her eyes on Dan, a smile on her face.

Quinn did not give the response Dan thought she would give; he was used to her being stubborn and very rarely giving into other peoples demands but yet here she was agreeing to kiss him with an actually smile on her face. Before Dan could even come up with, to a drunk, a smooth reply Quinn had took hold of his shirt and pulled him closer to her. The kiss was passionate, it was the type of kiss Dan liked, and he could feel the lust and the anger in it. Quinn was good.
When she pushed him away Dan took a deep breath to smooth out the creases that were now in his white shirt. With raised eyebrows Dan looked over at Carl and started to laugh, leaning backwards on his chair, trying to look as cool as anything but as he did a hic-up decide it was going to attack and this nearly tipped Dan over backwards. Reaching out he took hold of the edge of table and pulled himself back onto all four legs of his chair. Turning round to Quinn Dan shot her a smile just as another hic-up occurred which merely caused Dan to laugh even more.
“Look we have no more drinks-hic- I think we should sort this out –hic- Same for everyone again? “
Without even waiting for an answer Dan stumbled out of his chair and headed over towards the bar in a less the straight line and leaned on the bar in a less the conventional way as well. But soon he came back with a wide verity of drinks as he could not actually remember what they had been drinking or how many people there were. So after the trays of drinks had been brought over Dan thought he would reposition himself, so he could be a little closer to Quinn. So kicking his chair along so it was right next to her Dan sat down and stretched out his arm, placing it over her shoulder and pulling her into a small cuddle.
“Another drink my –hic- my lady?”

Quinn had not done something this rash and exciting in far too long. She had forgotten what it was like to laugh, to actually be drunk, what it was like to feel the passion of another against her skin. She knew she would regret it in the morning but in her inebriated state she couldn’t give a flying fart about the morning. She was in the moment, the hot, happy moment.
Dan wobbled over to the bar and got more drinks and Quinn watched him walk there. She let out a girlish giggle that she would have cursed herself for doing, had she been other wise. Magnus followed her eye sight and looked back at Quinn, his rosy cheeks puffing out as he tapped his nose knowingly. “I take it you two have been avoiding this for a bit too long then, Ms Grey,” Magnus chuckled and clapped her on the back as Dan came back.
Quinn laughed, leaning on the table to try steady her world. Before Dan even asked, Quinn took another drink, not taking any notice of what it was. The next thing she knew, Dan’s arm was around her shoulders. She took a long sip of the dark blue almost black drink that tasted of liquorish and some sort of berry before shrugging Dan’s arm off violently and slamming her glass down on the table. “Mr Hubbles,” Quinn cried in shock with obvious appall, “Are you trying to seduce me or are you just confused as to where your arm goes?” She spurted it out before she could stop herself and it sounded rather rude, though it had been kinder in her head.
Quinn glared at Dan for a moment before bursting in to giggles. “Coz if you aren’t trying to seduce me,” she said, falling back onto him, “I may have to try a little harder myself.” She took his jaw in her hand and began kissing him again. She didn’t know what else to do and it seemed a very logical follower to her little outburst.

Dan laughed rather loudly as Quinn reached for another drink seeing her going straight for the most powerful of the lot. Dan did not mind of course, he was half hoping Quinn would pick that one; she seemed to be losing up and more alcohol she consumed the greater the chances were for them to have a bit of fun. Although these thoughts were put on hold for a moment when Quinn moved away, questioning why he had his arm around her and he actually had no response to her question. A few drinks more and Dan would not have heard it, a few drinks less his brain would have found something to say faster, but her he was stuck in between too zones of being drunk and looking into her hypnotising eyes, but then yet again, unlike a sober Quinn she laughed and then kissed him.
For some reason now his tongue now had other areas to explore his mind had worked out something to say. But it was torn between the two options, kiss or flirt? But not being in a very rational manor Dan tried to do both at the same time.
“If you…” They kiss. “…want me too seduce…” They kiss again, “…you then I…” “Dan pulls Quinn closer. “…can always try…” Dan ran his hand through her silkily hair “… a bit harder too.”
To the other people in the pub it must have looked a lot like a ‘get a room’ situation. Dan was not letting Quinn leaves his grasp and was enjoying every moment of it. Ever since he first met Quinn she was added to his list, the list of people he wanted to get with, mainly to have the bragging rights as it was no mean feat, Quinn Locksley was a hard nut to crack and he knew his work was not done yet, there was still potential for it all to go wrong.

Kissing Dan was the most fun Quinn had had in ages, since her last fight she supposed but that wasn’t what was on her mind. Desire was driving her and all she wanted was the heat. She was by nature a cold woman and that coldness had seeped into every pour of her being. That was the way she liked it, cold and impersonal, but sometimes, not often but sometimes, she liked to feel alive and warm. Hot and real.
Dan wouldn’t shut up and Quinn pulled away from him. “Look,” she said crassly, “there’s no need for seduction here. You want me. I want you. So let’s do something about it.” She fixed her dark eyes on Dan and kept her hands on him. As much as she didn’t like attachment … no, wait, this wasn’t attachment, this was just another fling. How perfect, she thought as she waited for him to answer, that he should think he is getting the score on me when I’m the one scoring tonight.
It was all a game to Quinn. She didn’t care what happened to Dan or to any of the others men sitting around them, drinking, laughing and trying to ignore the two of them. It didn’t matter any to her what may come of this night only what she got from it, the benefits that she and she alone acquired from this evening. Quinn could feel Barbula’s heated gaze on her and she liked that she was making him jealous.
Smirking slightly, Quinn’s eye brow raised slightly. “I don’t think the lads are too happy with us,” she said. “Let’s get out of here.” Quinn could be forceful if she wanted to be and she had learnt that with men and alcohol she had to be and enjoyed being as swaying as she wanted to be, as she enjoyed being. “What do you say?” she asked mischievously with a naughty smile on her face.

Dan was pleasantly surprised by the answer he got from Quinn, and she was right it was just what he wanted or thought he wanted at the time anyway. Even the fact she had pulled away from their kissing session did not matter; Quinn seemed to proposing something a little bit more fun and as her dark eyes searched him it suddenly felt like they were alone, her gaze spoke volumes. Licking his lips Dan gave a small laugh as he looked down, noticing that Quinn still had a tight hold on her. She was good, and Dan had a sneaking feeling this was not the first time she had set her mind on getting a wizard she wanted. Watching her lushes lips and listening to her tempting words Dan could not help but grin when Quinn suggested departing. “Are you suggesting that we depart company with these gentlemen and make our way to somewhere more private?”
Dan chortled to himself and leaned forward, kissing Quinn once again, but as he was doing this a face flashed across mind and he stumbled. He broke off mid kiss and bit his lip a sense of guilt spreading over him, however the thing that must be remembered is that when Dan gets drunk he loses all inhabitations so feelings such as doubt and guilt do not last very long. So almost as soon as he had had his second thoughts about the potential one night stand he was firing on all cylinders again and thought it best to act the most sensible of questions.
“So…where are we going?”
