Felicity was leaning against one of the building walls, tucked away in one of the alleys. Her chest was heaving as she tried to catch her breath. Running from a couple of guys was harder than it looked, even if she had long legs.
Fay had just been wandering down the street, minding her own business, until someone had to come up and spook her. In her fright, her charm was turned on and caught every guy within a ten foot radius to her. The only choice she had was to run, and those boys were fast! So now she hid here, in the alleyway, praying to god that the men wouldn't find her.
The veela slid down against the wall until she was sitting down, her knees brought up to her chest. The breeze tugged at her dark curly hair, causing it to brush away from her face. Once her breath was caught, Fay rested her head on her knees. "I hate this. I hate it." She clutched her wand tighter and grit her teeth. "I hate what I am."

Bry was walking through Hosmeade when she spotted Fay running from a posse of guys. "Uh-oh!" was all she managed before she took off after them. She caught up the the guys and stopped them, "Hey, are you guys looking for someone?" she asked them.
One of the boys looked at her, "Did you happen to see a beautiful girl with dark hair run past you?" he asked her with heaving breaths.
Bry looked at him and nodded, "Yeah, she went that way," she said pointing in the opposite direction that Fay had ran. The boys nodded in appreciation as they ran off. Bry waited til they were out of sight and walked into the dark alley by Fay. She sat down on a crate next to her and put a comforting hand on her shoulder, "Fay?" she asked hoping her new friend wouldn't jynx her.

Felicity tensed as she heard new voices near her. Was that Bry? The boys ran right past her hiding spot and out of sight, and Fay loosened her grip on her wand slightly.
She lifted her head to looked over at Bry as she put her hand on her shoulder. Felicity gave her a sad smile. "I just can't go anywhere can't I? Maybe someone should lock me up, then this wouldn't happen anymore." She sighed and rested her forehead back on her knees.
"I don't want to be like this. I hate it. I'm not like my mother, who loves when people give her compliments and loves attention of men. I'm not as vain as her. I would rather be normal. Have a normal life, meet my husband in a normal way, not charming him like my mother did." She shut her eyes with a sigh. "But no use fighting what I am right?"

Briar gave a friendly smile, "You can't fight who you are, I tried and it doesn't work," she said with a small laugh, "But you can make the most of it. You don't have to be like your mother, infact, you're nothing like your mother. Just think of this, Bradyn's your friend, did he become your friend because of what you are? I don't think so, at least, I hope not. If he did, that would make me feel like crap," she said jokingly.
Bry scooted down so she was on the ground by Fay, "Look, Bray gave me some advice. He said I had to be more positive about my gift. I think you should, too. Neither of us can help what we are nor can we change it. We just have to deal. You know who you are. Bray and I know who you are. You're not a Veela to us, you're Fay," she said with a smile. "Just think of it this way, If you ever get into trouble in the muggle world, just turn on your charm and every policeman will let you go!" she said trying to lighten the mood.

Felicity looked up at Bry, a small grin on her lips. "Bray has his moments of wisdom I do admit." She fell silent again as Bry continued her little speech. A wide grin flashed across her face and she wrapped her arms around Bry, tugging her into a hug. "Thanks Bry. You're a great friend you know?"
Fay let go of Bry after a moment and laughed. "Sorry for the sob story. I'm usually happy, but I guess I just need some moments of angst." She layed her hand dramatically across her forehead. "Oh the woes of a veela. Such shame, shame!" Felicity giggled again.

"Oh, stop being such a drama queen" Evette said with a smirk. The two had been window shopping and a boy had scared Fay, causing many to chase her. Eve followed the girl from her own house, Briar, into an alley.
The girl plopped down in front of the two, her red hair mussed up from the wind. Evette tugged at her long black jacket. Her pale cheeks had a rosy hue from the cold. "My my, they never give up, do they?" She murmured, watching the boys grow into tiny specks in the distance. Her gaze traveled back to Briar. "Hello, Briar. I haven't seen you in a while. How have you been?" Evette said, starting a polite conversation. "Nice hat" Eve said to Fay with a smile.

Bry laughed at Fay, "Lets just say your future looks bright," she said with a wink. Bry noticed another hufflepuff had entered the alley and had sat herself down infront of herself and Fay. She nodded in her direction, "Hi Evette," she said with a smile, "I've been great, I suppose," she said with a laugh, "I haven't seen you in a while, what have you been up to?" she asked.

Felicity tugged on her hat, her lower lip jutting out. "Excuse me, I happen to like it." Maybe that was why Fay stuck out in the crowds. She had on her favorite hat, the rainbow one, and her black coat. Plus, her matching rainbow scarf. Fay tended to be a little eccentric.
"I'll tell you what's up with her. Eve's been bugging me to buy her candy all day, and won't leave me alone." Felicity turned and stuck her tongue out at her friend, before giggling again. "You're just broke."
