Ashton McLane strolled out towards the Quidditch pitch, his Captain's badge glinting proudly in the sun. He had hung up flyers in the Ravenclaw Common Room, notifying the team of practice today. Now the only thing he needed was the team. Levitating the trunk of ball's towards the center of the field, he set it down and opened it, the red quaflle was sitting calmy in it's place, and the two bludgers were struggling against their restraints, and the smallest ball, the ball that he, as Seeker was responsible for catching, the Golden Snitch, was sitting calmy, with it's wings hidden. Swinging his leg over his Lightningbolt 3000 the newest broom out there, with advanced speed and aerodynamics, it was probably the best broom on the market. And no doubt the most expensive! Kicking of from the ground, Ashton hovered above the pitch, looking towards the castle, watching, and waiting for his team, and anyone who wanted to tryout to arrive.
((The Lightningbolt 3000 is a broom I made up, I was going to go with him having a Firebolt, but seeing as this is 100yrs after HP, I decided to make an upgrade. So, without further ado, I proudly introduce, the Lightningbolt 3000!))

Candy walked to wards the quidditch pitch, she had seen the flyers in the common room and decided to try out after all Candy thought that quidditch was the best thing in the world she new everything involving quidditch, every team, move, foul, how she wished quidditch was a class because she'll probably be one of the top students, as she walked with her dark blue sweatpants and white tank top she notice a boy flying around the pitch
"Hey is this the tryouts for the ravenclaw team?" she asked loudly enough for the boy to hear. Candy leaned on her trustworthy firebolt she had it since she was at least 10, but it was in perfect care, and Candy had a charm bracelet tied at the end of the handle it was her good luck charm, so she grabbed her broom tight and looked up to the boy for an answer.

Ashton looked down when he heard a voice, it belonged to a girl. "Hey Yep, this is the tryouts. I'm Ashton McLane, what position are you looking to tryout for?" he asked with a smile.

Alexis noticed the flyers that had been placed all around the common room. She had been on the team last term and was hoping to still have a spot but she figured the new captain wanted to make a fresh start and that meant having to try out. Quidditch was what she loved to do so she knew that she would be there no matter what. So grabbing her old robes and her new broom, a birthday gift from her parents she went in search of the new captain.
Outside she spotted him up in the air already. Moving forward she noticed that Candie the girl who had fallen in the common room when she was with Acelin was there. Apparently she wasn't the only girl interested in trying out. Looking up she said 'Looking good up there Ashton, love the new broom too.' Smiling she looked at her own they were the same. Her parents had excellent taste. Then smiling at Candie she waited for her to answer Ashton, she too was curious to see what position she was trying for since Alexis already knew she wanted to be a chaser this time around.

" oh Hi and um Beater" Said Candy proudly then looked more carefully at the boy and saw what kind of broom he was on " No way man! is that a lightningbolt 3000?"she asked surprised, then looked at her broom.
" Oh Hi Alexis what are you trying out for?" she asked the girl she met in the common room the time she had fallen.

Ashton beamed at the two girls, "Okay a beater and Lexi, what position are you trying for?" he asked as he turned towards Alexis. He smiled at Candy, "Yeah, it's a Lightning Bolt 3000!" he exclaimed with pride.

'Ah, I'm trying for the position of chaser this time. Me and the new broom here are raring for some action. Just tell me what you want me to do captain.' Then looking around she noticed no one else had shown up yet. 'Hmm, I wonder where the others are. I thought the field would be swarming with potential team mates. I hope they get here soon so we can get to it.' Then smiling back at Candy she said, 'I'm so glad to see you trying out I really hope you get the beater spot.' Now she was revved up this.

Ashton nodded at the two girls. "Alright ladies, let's see what you can do. Since we don't have a keeper yet, we'll let Candy go first." He reached down, opened the crate and released one of the bludgers, ducking as it swooped up then zoomed back down, straight at his head.

" I hope you get the chaser spot Alexis" Candy said smiling to wards the girl as she climbed her broom gripping the club tightly she was drawing near the bludger, she had the arm that was holding the club across her chest and POW, The bludger went across the pitch, but came back in a matter of seconds it looked ready to hit Ashton's left side she crossed and was in front of him her club to the side and once again with a little less force but yet able to send the bludger to the other side of the pitch, Candy smiled and then turned Ashton " Hows that?" Candy asked as she flew down and swung her club hitting the Bludger for a third time.

Candy nodded "OK!" and went back to her duty she was hitting the bludger Down wards, up wards sideways, she did a lot of the hits when her arm was across her chest being the most powerful one, she tried a few with her left hand not as powerful but able to send it a couple of feet away, in the last she tried with her left hand the bludger went far and it returned quickly, but Candy had her back to wards the bludger as she switched the club to her right hand and as she threw her hand back, she heard the club hit the bludger which went flying across the pitch once more "I've been dying to get that right" she exclaimed happy as she knew there was a very slim possibility that she'll get that trick again,Candy Happily went down to hit the bludger more times each time sending it to the opposite end of the pitch a smile on her face as she loved hitting that bludger " I could stay here all day if you want me to!"she yelled hitting the bludger once more.

Alexis was so excited to be out and about her broom was held tightly in her hand, as she looked up at the sky checking the position of the sun just making sure that it wouldn't be a problem for her vision wise when she finally go up to try out. Ashton asked Candy to go first. Before she got on her broom she wished Alexis luck on becoming a chaser. Alexis hoped that things went well. She had been practicing extra hard during her break, her parents well at least her mother kept saying she was becoming maniacal about it. Alexis didn't care she adored this game and wanted to play it at all costs. She stood waiting watching someone else play for a while was kind of cool. So far Candy seemed to be doing pretty good Alexis was impressed with her skills on a broom. If she wasn't mistaken she had it locked Ashton would be foolhardy not to choose her. The team could be great with a talent like that on it, not that Alexis was a slouch but Candy was something to watch. This again, excited the youngest Cane she wanted to go up now fly around, feel the wind in her hair as she tried to get the quaffle through one of the hoops, the thrill of seeing it fly through that hole always made her heart skip a few beats.[/size]

Ashton looked nodded as Candy performed yet again, a superb trial. "Excellent." He said smiling proudly, "I think we've found ourselves a new beater." He turned to Lexi, "Would you be willing to do the tryout without a Keeper for now? Or one of us, me or Candy, could play the position for now."

Candy smile " Sweet, thanks!" she thanked Ashton with a very excited tone, now it was Alexis turned to tryout " I could be the keeper if you want me too" she said to both Ashton and Alexis, Candy wanted to see how well Alexis played something inside Candy said she was really good.

Ashton smiled at Candy, "Well you deserve it. And yes, that would certainly be a great help." he replied when she asked if she could play Keeper for Lexi's tryout. He turned to Alexis, "Alright Lexi, let's see what you can do."
