Personality
bold & truthful; Bethany has a very loud, very friendly personality. She is crazy with her spontaneous whims and her constant talking. She is very bold, saying absolutely anything that comes to mind. She doesn't have a filter. She tells you want she think, no matter how tact, or in most cases, untactful, it is. She tells it how it is. It is not that she wants to hurt others feelings, she just feels that the truth should never be withheld for any reason. Sugar coating everything can be just as bad as lying.

brave & charismatic; There is not much that Beth is afraid of. the dark or monsters are nothing to be afraid of if you are such of yourself. The one thing she is afraid of is doubt, self-doubt, doubt in what you are doing, doubt in others. All kinds. Doubt leads to miscommunication and confusion, therefore, she leaves no room for doubt. She tries to learn as much as she can about a situation before voicing any opinion. She has learned much about herself and is comfortable in her own skin, never having to doubt a decision she makes.

positive & tempered; Bethany tries to stay positive at all times, looking at the good in people and giving them the benefit of the doubt, however like everyone else on the planet, Bethany has a downfall. She has little patience for stupidity and cautiousness. You have only one life to live, so live it, don't hide in a corner. She tries to treat all of her students fairly, however, if she doesn't get the respect she deserves, she won't return any favors.

Once Upon a Time; Bethany Grace was born the third child to the Cross family. After her, two more little Cross came into the world, making the count five, and a large count at that. Bethany was the middle child, never neglected under any circumstances, but she never was looked after as much as her older or younger siblings were. Unlike many siblings, Bethany was very close with hers. They did have little family spats and would get in fights, charms and harmless hexes would be thrown illegally, but in the end they always made up.

Bethany became the bold and loud middle child. If she didn't get into any trouble she would be noticed as much. Her parents didn't mean to, but she was just the child that got lost in the shuffle. However, by the age of seven, she had learned that she could become the silly fool of the house and her loud and outrageous personality really helped shine a spotlight on her every once in a while.

Into the Forest we Go; Bethany was always used to sharing her things, bathrooms, clothes, much of everything. Going off to Hogwarts, after years of hearing how amazing it was, was no big jump to the young teen. She was quickly sorted into Gryffindor, as was the rest of her family, and found many friends. She always got along with everyone, her grand personality and very forgiving and non-judging demeanor made her very likable. She fit in great with many groups, gaining lots of friends.

Bethany always did great in the wand magics, like Defense Against the Dark Arts. She knew immediatly that she wanted to become an Auror. It was perfect for her. She was athletic, decently smart, and very brave. She wasn't afraid to go off in the dungeons by herself, or even into the forest, where she got caught more than twice. However, as her sixth year came around, she found that she didn't have the grades to do it. She was crushed, her potions and her transfiguration grades were just below the level needed to continue. Devastated, she turned to teaching.

Of course, as graduation inched closer and closer, Bethany applied to the Defense Against the Dark Arts apprentice. However, she was beaten out by some other girl, Kenna something or other. Again, Bethany's plans had been thwarted. Disappointed, she left Hogwarts and got a boring old job at a desk in the Office of Muggle Relations. ugh.

There and Back Again; It had been a couple of years, a couple of boring years, until Bethany got word that the Defense Against the Dark Arts job had opened up. Kenna had retired. Bethany thought that she would still be there, had they given her a chance. However, when she went to the castle for an interview, she found that her job had yet again been taken, this time by a very, very young Professor. However, the Headmaster had still wanted Bethany to come up and take the Position of Herbology Professor. Seeing as Jane Beckket would soon be leaving, seeing as she could handle the distance from her daughter, the position would be open.

With a large sigh and a quick hand shake, Bethany took the position. She decided she would make the best out of a bad situation, for now she could be up close to the castle should the DADA spot open up, yet again.
