Sarie walked off in to forest. To see Jhudora sleeping on the floor. She knelt down and shook Jhudora. "Hey it's not a good idea to sleep in the forest."

The summer sun was low in the sky and there was a cool breeze coming off the lake. Nathan’s robes billowed around him as he made his way across the castle grounds, his prefect badge pinned proudly above the Slytherin emblem. All he had to do now was wait, wait for someone to turn up. He knew someone would after all it was the summer and people seemed to get more adventures the longer the sun shone and he was in the mood to take away points.
It was then when he saw some movement in the direction of the forest. Shielding his eyes from the sun he tried to spy on his victim. As he saw them enter into the trees and cruel smirk filled his thin features although suddenly he heard a commotion behind him. Spinning around he saw a group of Gryffindor second years throwing dung bombs at each other. After having 15 thrown at him and the terrible stench of the terrible invention on him and the removal of points from their house Nathan finally got to search for his mysterious student who had vanished into the forest.
Pulling out his wand from his robe pocket, making sure it was tightly held in his hand Nathan set out into the forest filching at every sound and movement he saw. The further he went in the darker it got. Even the beam of light that came from his wand was not much reassurance, he wanted someone to be watching his back, another set of eyes. The only thing that kept him going was the idea that he would have the joy of punishing someone. Slowly he made his way through the forest making sure he did not catch his robes on any twigs which would cause a rip, and that eh carefully stepped over odd looking substances on the ground to make sure that his perfectly polished shoes would not be ruined.
After what seemed a life time walking through the darkens he saw a break in the trees and a person lying on the ground and there was someone else with them. A cruel smile filled across his face and the wand light played off his features even more, with parts being covered in shadow only highlighting the highest feature son his face. As he walked closer he made no attempt to be quite, his feet snapped every twig and crunched every leaf.
“Who do you think you are to break the school rules. Everyone knows this forest is forbidden. Hence its name.”

A cruel laughter echoed from above, followed by the voice of someone Sarie knew all too well, "And how were you going to do that?" Erys remarked loudly, leaping from her perch on a thick branch to twist midair and land on her feet with almost catlike reflexes. Steadying herself with one hand on the ground, the sixth year stood slowly, eyeing the fellow Slytherin present with a wrinkle of her nose- he reeked. Despite that fact, she could never insult a fellow Slytherin unless they gave her reason to. Which this fellow hadn't. "Have you seen death?" The only possible way to see a thestral was if you've ever bore witness to death, a thing so cruel at times that she highly doubted the first year had seen it. Sarie was too nice and sickeningly happy all the time to have watched the horror of knowing you cant do a thing to save someone as they slip away before your very eyes.
On a side note.. Since when was any Slytherin a stickler for the rules? Shuddering inwardly at the thought, Erys crossed her arms over her chest casually, flashing an odd grin at the little Gryffindor. The reason she was here was legit, incase Mr. Holloway was wondering. The headmaster had granted her permission to have a short training session a ways into the Forbidden forest, to exercise her animagus ability. "I'm allowed to be here." She cooed, her voice even, "I needed somewhere private to train my animagus ability, but seeing as this has become a popular resting spot, I suppose I should cut it short today." Repeating everything that had rolled smoothly inside her mind, Erys stretched, her fingernails threatening to sharp into claws.
Not many others at this school besides Erys and her friend Veata were animagi. It was an extremely, extremely difficult talent to master and there was a distinct possibilty you could lose your mind in the process. She hadn't bothered to sign up for the tutoring class for it at Hogwarts, having her father's tutor to thank for that. Besides that, Erys was a recent transfer from another smaller school, so naturally she had been granted some leniance into settling within the usual routine. There wasn't any reason to dock her house or anything for rule breaking, because she hadn't. But the Ravenclaw and the Gryffindor, however.. Well, they were a different story.

Humans, always so restless, eager to break rules and put themselves in danger, they knew nothing of the sheer awesome power of the forest, and even if they knew Valunce believed they would care not. Such an arrogant race, sure they had reason to be confident and feel a little superior to others, but such arrogance was criminal, one day the centaur feared they would get themselves into deeper trouble than they could ever escape from.
He just prayed to the stars that that day wasn't anytime soon. Steeling silently through the forest, picking his path with innate care and attention to make only the very slightest sounds possible Valunce came upon the group, he had heard their murmurings from afar, and his rather unnatural curiousity and caring nature; for a centaur, was aroused. When would they learn to heed his advice and the solemn word of their elders? Countless times he'd told them to stay out, yet they still entered without a care in the world, it fascinated and scared the muscular centaur, standing far taller than any present. Once he decided to make his presence known.
How they all came to be in the same spot he couldn't fathom, perhaps some innane power; fate itself drew them inexorably together, always there was a reason for each and every thing.
His presence had thus far gone unnoticed, only hearing a snippet of their conversation he instantly took a possibly rash decision; to intervene. Bouding out from cover he raised his oaken stave defensively rather than aggresively as some of his kind would.
"Allowed here are you?" He demanded coldly his usually soft spoken manner left for dust, he ahd to handle them, harshly or else they would never learn, though mistakes were undoubtedly necessary couldn't they learn from each others hair raising experiences; fraught with danger.
"Allowed by whom? When last I looked this was our home." Soft green eyes alighted upon each human child in turn, giving them a look of sorrow, "you shouldn't be here, it is too dangerous." He warned knowing the effort was likely futile.

Tensing at the sudden surprise, her wand already pointed protectively infront of her, Erys narrowed her eyes. Deciding against mentioning the headmaster, because then he might get in trouble. Most likely her though, since he said to practise outside of the forest, not in it. Or maybe not, she had been a bit weary the day she asked him. Confronted by a centaur now, the sixth year stood strong, ready to blast him away if that staff of his got any closer. "Arent centaurs supposed to hate humans?" She pried, curious as to why he sounded concerned for their safety when the majority of his kind treated it with indifference. This magnificent creature, though strong and powerful, was outnumbered by three experianced wizards at least. As to the first year, Erys had no idea. She hadn't a clue as to the limits of the boy's powers, either, but the animagus was sure of one thing: her ability and prowess at mastering difficulty spells. Performing them with ease was her specialty, and she wouldn't hesitate to defend herself, and the others, seeing as trouble awaited her if any of them got hurt when she was there to offer her help.
Keeping her attention fixed firmly upon the centaur, Erys locked her wand within her fingers, aimed directly for the beast. It was odd, describing them that way. They were like people, the torsos anyway. They could speak and breathe like a human, yet they couldn't be described as such. hm. "Right, uh.. Sorry?" Well, what could she say? She wasn't terribly apologetic for trespassing, seeing as he didn't own the entire forest. This area hadn't appeared to be lived in, with no evidence of a warming fire or half-eaten food. Nothing like that. He didn't appear to be like the other ones of his kind.

Gazing with evident mistrust at the wand drawn against him Valunce's eyes narrowed further, why so very aggresive? He wondered unhappily, resisting the undeinaible urge to paw the earth in rising fear and hatred of the girl's outstretched wand, he stubbornly refused to show his fright. Usually he would have been unphased by the little object, even though he was well aware of its power, but now he had fully experienced and witnessed it's awesome and terrible power; they were dangerous. Though he knew the girl had nowhere near the skill and malice as the witch who had dealt so fiercely with him, he knew he was completely at her mercy nonetheless. Lowering his stave further he glowered slightly, bright shining eyes unable to tear themselves from the aggresively poised wand.
"Are we supposed to do whatever your books say we do? Are we each and everyone of us precisely the same, dumb, brutish animals? Beasts?" His anger had arisen unbidden and incontrollable for a while, his tone had been agressive and he felt immediately guitly for it, but he knew he had good reason for it. Tough, strong fingers tightened upon his stave as the girl's wand remained fixed upon him.
But then the girl offered something he hadn't expected; an apology, Valunce was naive, he knew it wasn't for threatening him with her despicable wand, but rathermore for putting herself in unnecessary danger. He thought their venturing into the forest not as trespassing at all, he solely wished for them to be safe, and being here wasn't safe at all.
"Apology accepted human, I too apologise for loosing my cool." Compared to nearly every other centaur in the tribe that small release of pent up tension was nothing. "Sadly it is true that many centaurs are quite rightfully mistrustful of humans. But I try not to be, as you can tell it is difficult from prejudices instilled over the years, yet with the stars to guide me I am learning patience and friendliness towards your kind."
Holding his stave loosely in one hand he lightly planted it upon the ground eyes flickering stoically between the assembled group of humans. He remained cool and level-headed as he implored in nonetheless commanding which expected to be obeyed; "lower your wands...please."

"Well, as the oldest one here--" Erich snaps in to being and body, a dull phosphorescent light above his head like a halo. "I think I should get to make the rules. Isn't that how things are usually settled amongst children?" He peers curiously at little Sarie and smirks. Turning back to the rest of the students, the lean centaur, Erich continues silkily. "Shall we introduce ourselves? My name is Erich and this is my house."
Then, finally, after a long self-conscious pause. Well, at least it used to be, he concludes, voice soft and deep in to the root of each mind present. Around him the trees remember themselves, grow hands. He grins and a wind connects the dots. Whatever brings you together.

Sarie looked at the new comer. She gave a small smile. She was the youngest as usual. She started to bite her lip. All she wanted to see was the Thestrals but all she did was run into trouble.

"Yes." She answered briskly, obviously not wanting to talk about it. It was wise not to bring the matter up, too. Thinking quickly over whether or not to lower her wand, her only form of protection besides the safety in numbers, the sixth sighed, deciding that it was better to be civil with this creature. Relaxing her posture slightly, Erys nodded finally before depositing her wand within her robes. The centaur wasn't like the others of his kind.. Did that mean he was shunned by them? That really sounded like her situation with the other houses, and their prejudice for Slytherin. The regarded her with hate and disgust even before she spoke one word to them, which was absolutely ridiculous in her eyes. Watching the phantom materialize right infront of her eyes, Erys wondered why everything seemed to happen when she was around. Were these things just waiting to pop up after she arrived? Ah, well. He was a ghost. "Erys Grace." The animagus replied calmly, offering a small smile, "Im in Slytherin." Her favorite house.
Was it polite to offer her hand to one who couldn't shake back? Not really. She saw it as an action that taunted spirits, so therefor, she didn't do it. Trying to keep as polite as possible while retaining her Slytherin attitude, Erys licked her lips, flashing an amused look at Jhudora. "Uh. Hi." She hadn't met this student before, but then again, she had only just transferred a week ago.

Sarie had lost her voice to see the ghost. She had smiled at him eariler but she still couldn't do much else. She opened her mouth to speak but, just closed it again. She wanted to see the Thestrals that was it. Now she was a little lost first year. She wished Ian was there or at least someone she knew a bit better. Jhudora, Sarie had just met her and felt rather safe arounder her. But they really had just met.
Sarie looked around. She hated acting like a little kid. But that what she was. There was nothing around. Then a horrable thought struck her. What if a teacher came and found them they woould be in so much trouble. Sarie began to tremble.
What was she going to do. What would she tell a teacher if they found two Slytherin 6th years a Raveclaw 5th year and a Gryffindor 1st year in the forest this late at night.

Bright eyes alighting upon a defensive student shielding the youngest and casting suspicious glares his way. No smile graced Valunce's features at the sacrifice she was willing to make,
"Mere human chiselled stone as old as the forest?" Valunce spoke with incredulity voice dripping with disdain that he couldn't conceal. "You are ill informed little one, you think this forest was planted and grows inextricably with the school itself? It is true that we haven't been here much longer than thee but in living memory there has always been a forest here. I realise you came here not to encroach on territory, which I care little for, but I fear for your safety, whether those fears are ill placed is for you to decide yourself. I know not your strengthes only the forests."
"Humans here all the time yet it is forbidden?" He questioned wryly wondering why the humans wished to venture here anyway, they rarely cared for the natural world around them, perhaps it was simply a recluse for them. About to explain that on hearing their voices he had been drawn inextricably here, he was forestalled byt the sudden appearance of when he hadn't expected. "Aubry," he breathed his voice now softer and with a keen edge of surprise. A reflex action made him trot back a few paces as he stared momentarily awe struck at the spirit. Recovering his wits and centaur manners he bowed low, even bending his knee in added respect. It is forever your home Erich, he thought knowing the being would easily read his undefended mind, completely open.
Visibly relaxing as the eldest girl pocketed her wand he nodded briefly in thanks his eyes contacting in a moment of gratitude, until they swept back to Aubry and fear of the unknown pierced Valunce. But he couldn't show weakness as Erich would know instantly.
"Perhaps introductions would be useful," he agreed trying to regain a little control over the situation, giving the slightest inclination of his head to each human present he maintained steely eye contact with each, until coming full circle back to Aubry, you already know my name he thought shuffling his hooves a little in nervousness, and we know about you. The centaur's relationship with Erich had never been perfect and presumably never would be, yet they respected each other.
Turning to the girl who seemed so overly suspicious of him he gave her a look of genuine hurt feeling sorrowful that humans and centaur couldn't have better relations. "I shall leave now if you wish it." Softened eyes now looked over the Ravenclaw.

Nathan’s eyes grew thin as the Ravenclaw had the check to actually question his authority. It was ludicrous to believe that Nathan did not actually know the rules of the school. Of course he did , he needed to know how to every rule so that he knew that he would be safe in the occasion he needed to break school rule and if he was questioned about his actions he knew all the loop holes to get out of the situation. He was about to reinforce this point when the Ravenclaw then continued to sate the obvious mentioned the terrible smell that had been following him.
Pulling his robes close to his nose Nathan gave them a quick sniff and quickly moved away again repulsed by the smell. He must have grown used to it while dealing with the idiots and now he was standing around smelling like the elephant house. Stepping away from the crowd he began to mutter incantations to himself pointing his wand at his robes trying to get rid of the smell. He was so preoccupied about trying to preserve his own pride and reputation he did not even notice the many others that had joined there group.
After he was satisfied that the smell had now been masked, sadly by the smell of roses which in Nathan’s opinion was only slightly better then dung, he looked over at the group only to notice that a centaur and what must have been a ghost had joined them as well as another Slytherin. He was parlayed with fear for a moment and hoping that no one had seen him he took a few steps to the side and positioned himself tactically behind a rather tall tree. It was then when he was cowering behind the tree did he notice that it seemed to have hands.
Swearing loudly he jumped out from behind it and walked close towards the groups again, sticking rather close to the Ravenclaw who was there originally. His eyes nervously glanced from the half breed to the dead person, his knuckles turning white on his wand hand as he clung she tightly onto it. Everyone seemed to be introducing themselves to the creatures and Nathan knew that if he did not say something again soon then he would lose all pride and humility. With a small cough he cleared his throat and somehow managed to fight away the trembles in his voice and regain his proud, composed deep voice.
“Nathan Holloway, Slytherin prefect. Now if you do not mind I need to bring these trouble makers to justice.”
