She noticed the look of hatred in the young witches eyes and felt a tinge of sympathy. Gabriella remembered her first battle kill; it was a terrible thing to take another human beings life. Though she had long ago believed what she had done was murder, she realized now it was defense. She was in a war and that meant kill or be killed. She tried to avoid the dreadful deed as much as possible knowing that most ministry workers were naive and were fighting for what they believed to be right-they didn't deserve to die for that.
"Don't be too frightened." She said knowing fully that the girl would likely lash out at her for such a comment. "You won't split your soul; it's a war. You kill or you are killed-it's not as cold blooded as some would make it seem." She said smirking slightly.
"A battle does seem like a marvelous idea! I haven't fought since our last skurmish against the ministry." She said slowly as her smile slowly faded. The costs had been terrible.
"How small of band?" she inquired curiously. "Don't want another battle like the last one. It was all fun and games till they started using muggle artillery fire against us."

Artemis turrned to Gabriella, "I hate the Ministry with my heart and soul. They ripped my family apart, they shattered my life. And they will pay!" She vowed vehemently. She paused, and looked at the ground, "I will avenge my parents." she whispered, she looked up, brown eyes hard, cold, unfeeling and yet glistening with unshed tears. "I swear it. I will die before I let the Ministry ruin my life again."

Addis looked at Gabriella and smiled. 'Only a small band, three or four at most. The rookie somehow managed to fluke her way into finding a small area where the Ministry believes we don't congregate.'
He laughed. 'That battle was fun, never had so much bloody fun, pardon the pun, for quite a while.' Addis said, flicking his wand between his fingers and making it blur as he quickened the pace. He looked at the new girl and saw the fire in her eyes. 'Lust for revenge can overwhelm you. Don't let it consume you! We all have our demons against the Ministry and they will pay for it, but don't let the urge to destroy them into obliteration control you.'
Addis looked over towards Simon and smiled. 'Another rookie, it seems.' He laughed at the young man. 'You're not alone now.'

Artemis' amber eyes flashed as she prepared to shoot off another smart remark, then she stopped Now wait just a minute Artemis, your temper will get you nowhere. Except in trouble she told herself. She took a calming breath and nodded to Addis. "I understand." Artemis shivered slightly as they walked deeper into the woods, the night was chilly and Artemis had neglected to bring a cloak. Looking around, she took notice of her surrroundings, the tall ancient trees, the rustling of leaves, the calls of various creatures. Unfortunately, the one thing she didn't notice was the spiderweb she walked right into. It caught at her hair and clothes, and she felt it's stickyness on her face. "Oh gross!" she groaned softly. She repressed a shudder. "I hate spiders!" she whispered, more to herself than the others. With a small sigh, she pulled a handkerchief out of her pocket and wiped the offending spider web off her face.
((Sorry if it's a bit random. All I could think of. Besides, who hasn't run into a spiderweb in the middle of the woods, and been completely grossed out?))
