Polaris smiled at this action of offering from the Thestral. She knew very well the satisfaction of hunting and killing; her animagus being a wolf and all. Picking up a bone of the recently mutilated animal, she stuck it in her pocket, sinew and all.
"I forgot, you enjoy eating flesh.. apples won't do much, will they?" She asked. Her words were soft and comforting, not wanting to spook the beast. Polaris was sure that the sight that had just played out before her would have mortified any other student, but Polaris was different. She understood the beasts ways and actions. Offering it one last smile, she shuffled back a few feet and sat down on a rock, still looking to the Thestral.

Bailey hadn't the slightest idea who all these people were. How many new faces could one little human see on one day? Well she was seeing new faces every day, every minute, every second. Although she recognized some faces she still didn't know the names.
Did the wolf girl just play, had fun, with Jynx? Or what was it?Bailey had a dog herself at home but wolfs were totally different. Wolfs were wild and killed and hunted with joy. Her dog always wanted to hunt but he was too lazy to do so. Wolfs were from nature and dogs, were there to get love from people and give love back to them.
With great surprise and a little bit of shock filtering through her voice Bailey stammered: "H-h-h-h-how did you know t-t-t-t-that?"

Polaris stopped and blinked, tilting her head as she watched the young girl's actions. A warm, kind smile formed on her lips as she inclined her head politely. "Years of practice and study. I'm sure you can learn it as well if you so wished." Crossing one leg over the other, Polaris continued to smile kindly awaiting Bailey's response.

That wasn't really the response Bailey so desperately hoped for. It was a real grown up answer, and was a kind of answer anyone could give. Even though it was the truth. If you want to be wise and understanding just grow up, be a big girl.
Bailey ignored her own ponder and played a little with a lock of her own hair. Bailey had no idea what to say for one moment. She was surprised of it herself. For once, the chatty Bailey just shut her little mouth.
To break this weird and unexpected silence Bailey had this great idea of introducing herself. She said confident and loud: "I am Bailey Moor, and who are you, big clever girl?"Bailey said this since this was her first impression of this girl. She also wanted to say mysterious, since not everyone sees wolf girls daily but that would create a certain distance. Bailey reached for the girl her hand waiting for a reply.

Polaris inclined her head once more, smiling widely as she took the small girls hand and shook it gently. "Polaris Stormwrath, at your service! It's a pleasure, Miss Bailey." She replied kindly, with a playfuly grin.
"But what I really want to know, is why you are out here. It's so dangerous.. between Thestrals, Dragons and rogue wizards, along with the occasional odd student or.." Polaris stopped for a moment, taking in the shadows around her. "What.. four or five?" Giving a shrug, she continued to smile as she awaited Bailey's reply.

[green]The moon illuminated the ground where the thick branches of the forest were scarce. Through the shadows crept Sage, only seeable when passing through the small sections of light. She pulled her hood on trying to block out the cold. "Ahem." She coughed as she proceeded into the area where they had all herded together. She pulled a dead rat from her pocket and tossed it at the Thestral. Before placing herself at the base of a tree. She looked up her dark eyes glinting. "The forest is really no place for such upstanding students." She said referring to their houses. A coy grin crossed her lips as she watched them.[/green]

Hikaru turned at the sound of yet another voice, "You're correct Miss. In fact, the forest is no place for a student at all. So before the Ministry finds us and we all get in trouble, I suggest we finish up our conversations and get out of here." He turned to the three girls, "Miss Thimble, Miss Bailey, and Miss Stormwrath, say goodbye to the thestral and let's head back to the castle. I don't want to get fired my first day here, and I don't think you three want detention."

[teal]The Thestral recognized Sage's cough and tossed his head as she appeared in the area. He caught the rat in his mouth and dropped it to the ground. He held it down with a fore hoove and ripped off the flesh, chewing loudly. It was a fresh kill, blood still oozing from its wounds. He was still aware of the many prescences so he kept his guard up, ready to attack at all times. He wasn't one to give up a fight. He dissapeared for a few minutes coming back just as quick as he had gone. He had been thirsty. Water dripped from his muzzle, the remaining blood on his muzzle was diluted by the water as it fell to the earth.[/teal]

[green]Sage smirked then spoke, her lips dripping with sarcasm. "Ooh I'm scared. I better run back to the castle before I'm in trouble." She snickered and watched the Thestral leave and return. She glanced at the others and narrowed her eyes. She tapped her mouth with her index finger before standing and approaching the Thestral. "Hey boy." She knew this Thestral. She had first seen him as a first year. She often visited the deadly creature. Which is perhaps why he chose to be nice to the first year. He liked the little ones, which he then grew to trust. Oh the memories.[/green]

Kenna had been patrolling the edge of the forest. She didn't much like it, nor did she care for it. But as long as the Ministry was at Hogwarts, she felt she must obey them, or act as if she was obeying them. Kenna took a deep breath and continued on her walk. She noticed a few students and even a fellow professor gathered in the forest. Shaking her head she walked over there, "Girls. Please be careful. If you wish to be in the forest, at least be deeper or more concealed," she said placing a hand on her hip.
Kenna smiled at her fellow staff and laughed, "You don't honestly think these girls are going to listen to you, do you?" she asked. "And threatening them with detention will not help either," she continued.[/color]

Hikaru raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me? Maybe no one's told you this, but speaking in that manner to an adult, especially a teacher, is very rude and disrespectful. That will be ten points from Slytherin and a detention with me this Friday evening." Turning to the thestral he smiled, "I'm sorry, but I have to go, I'll try to come back and visit. He turned to the girls. "Allright say your goodbyes to the thestral and let's go, it's getting late. And I'd rather not be out here any later."

[green]She looked to the other professor, Defense Against the Dark Arts was actually a class she enjoyed. She lowered her head respectfully, but only a bit. "Evening professor." She smiled before sending a glare in the direction of the male professor. She still had her hand stroking the Thestral's rough neck. She looked at the creature's pinned ears. "I wouldn't bother visiting him, he's not very fond of you." She sneered.[/green]

Hikaru rolled his eyes. "I have every right to give her a detention. Unless you think it's allright for her to be disrespectful?" he asked sarcasically. A smile softend his face. "I am Hikaru Tanaka. The new Occlumency professor. So, is it a tradition at this school to tell new teachers that the students will not listen and that we shouldn't give detentions if the students are rude?"

Bailey examined herself and tried to notice some flickering fluorising stripes on her outfit, she couldn't see them. What was it that all these people came to the forest? Was it the name? If something was forbidden as hell it was more likely to go in.
The young little Bailey had looked with eyes as big as an elephant at the Slytherin girl who joined their talk. She was the kind of person your eyes stay on for a couple of hours and of which you lose your focus only when they leave. This Slyth acted unfriendly, was it the Slyth it's nature? Bailey just gave another fascinated look at the Slyth before she realized that another professor had joined their conversation.
Bailey didn't know this professor, at first sight it didn't look like a professor at all. A young lady proud and smart. Of course someone had to be the wetblanket.
Bailey sighed and walked to Jynx/the Thestral, she caressed his pointy nose again the way she did the first time. Bailey tried to rrach for its ears and whispered softly with a stubborn voice: "I will come back, and I will bring some delicious dead mice for you.."
Bailey gave the poor Thestral one more look and brought the adventure to a close by the following simple but meaningful words: "Goodnight everyone, goodbye professors nice to meet you both, goodbye Sarie, Polaris, goodbye Jynx or Thestral and last but not least goodbye Slytherin girl I like your hair I thought of bleaching my hair pink, but when I looked in the mirror I saw it wouldn't suit me." Bailey ambled away with firm steps with the branches cracking under her feet. She gave one more salute and she was planning to come back another thime, when professor wouldn't notice it.

Sarie who want Hikaru to look good said. "Hey Bailey, wait up I'll go with you. Good bye Professors." She nodded at the Slytherin not know who she was but not wanting to be rude. She headed back to the castle.
