Eyebrows raising in curiosity Charlie glanced at the boy, but his expression of stone cold indifference was crystal clear; he didn't want to talk about it. Usually people would have been all to eager to probe further and find out absolutely everything there was to know, Charlie on the other hand knew that if someone didn't want to talk of it, then it couldn't be good, or wasn't meant for her hearing. She trusted Oliver not to have doen something outrageous or dangerous in any way at Durmstrang; he just didn't seem the type, least she hoped her first impressions were correct.
"Kimono?" She asked in conformation, to see if she had actually pronounced it correctly. "That rings a very vague bell somewhere or other. I'd buy one but I haven't the money and I don't think it'd suit either, hips too big you know." She shrugged quite contented in not being the one who all the boys happily gawked at all day long, Belisma seemed to have that beauty about her that just seemed to attract any guy, but Charlie didn't click at all, and wouldn't have done until told by Belisma herself, only Akira was a much brighter spark and exclaimed jovially that Belisma was a veela. Again Charlie knew she should have known exactly what one was, from the way Oliver's mouth dropped open ever so slightly, but her knowledge of magic overall was rather slim, hard working she was but she still severely lacked the general knowledge that purebloods and halfbloods had devloped over their years.
"That's cool," She said with a grin, as information from textbooks gradually leaked into her memory she recalled and so spouted straight out without meaning to cause offense, "I don't envy all the attention you must get, but we learn to live with what we've got really." Speaking softly she avidly watched the flight of a sweeping sparrowhawk flying relatively low over the surface of the lake, "wonder what it's doing?" She asked aloud, "they don't usually fish." Charlie had noticed the sudden tension but guessed it was far better to change the subject swiftly, than linger upon it, plus she was absorbed in nature anyway. Darting a quick apologetic look at Belisma that she would have voiced only she feared the consequences if she took it badly to heart.
Belatedly noticing the rather dubious looks Akira gave towards Oliver's wand she was glad hers was still tucked away, generally unused as per usual. Charlie really wasn't one for utilising magic as extremely as others did, some seemed incapable of doing much at all without magical aid whilst she still much prefered doing things by hand, it was slower definitely but still it was how she had been brought up and it was taking her years to get into the swing of using magic more, especially in everyday use, that was just difficult.
"Ah a fan, I bet that's useful, and less conspicious as a wand in a way," Charlie used some strange logic at times. "You can even make it more unique, get a better ownership of it by the looks," Looking interestedly at the fan she gave a suitable genuine gasp as it flipped open. "Is it more difficult to aim though?" She asked with a bemused look, eyes captivated by the moving fan.
