Felicity sat, her back propped up against a nearby tree. She had her nose buried in yet another book, which seemed to be rather usual for her. Another Quidditch book, The Beater's Bible. Fay had been itching to try out for the team, and decided to brush up on some tactics.
Fay was just clad in a denim skirt, that went to just above her knees, and a dark violet sweater, that dipped slightly down in the middle. Despite the chill in the air, Felicity seemed to be perfectly at ease in her outfit. Then again, she usually could stand through harsher conditions than just a breeze.
Felicity sighed and shifted so she could lay on the ground. She rested her book on her stomach -still keeping it on the page she had left on- and stared up at the sky. "Same old, same old, week after week. Something amazing needs to happen soon before I explode from boredom." She rested her hand across her face and turned her head to the side, sighing dramatically, though no one was around to see her act. "Such is the life of the Ravenclaw girl."
(Eh)

Bray walked outside and sighed a bit. He just took a test in Herbology, and he'd been skipping that class a lot lately. Deciding that he should study for that class more, he had his book with him. One thing Bray hated was being a stereotypical Ravenclaw, with nothing better to do than read.
But sometimes it was just necessary. Spying someone else by the lakes he smiled a bit. "Hey there." He said, seeing it was another Ravenclaw about his age, of course, with a book. Bray resisted the urge to let his eyebrow twitch and decided to be nice, it's not like anyone else was out. "What'cha reading?" Bray said before plopping down by her, it's not like she was going to bite him or something.

Felicity's eyes snapped open and she sat up. Hmm, someone else had come to join in her torture, oh goody. She squinted her eyes slightly, and tapped her chin delicately. Finally, when the name popped into her head, a giant grin stretched across her face. "Bradyn Reed." She grinned and held up her book, careful to keep her finger where she had left off. "The Beater's Bible. I'm brushing up on some tactics." Fay shrugged lightly. "Always helps to prepared I guess."
Felicity leaned back against the tree trunk and glanced sideways over to Bradyn. "So what brings you out here to the lonely, boring Lake Bradyn? Come to be angsty or somethin'?" She grinned and held one finger to her lips. "Don't worry, your secret is safe with me."

When she said his name he nodded, and then remembered her own. "Fay Locke." Bray said, seeming to recall that she preferred that nickname. If not, he thought it sounded better. "Ah, you going out for the team again?" He asked, knowing that he was determined to be this years Keeper.
He leaned against the tree and cracked open his herbology book. "I wish I was reading 'bout Quidditch, but I'm not doing do good in Herbology." Bray thought plants were boring and pointless, only medical people should care that you could use mandrake root to cure someone from being petrified.

Felicity placed a bookmark of her own making into the book and shut it. She rested it on her lap and looked over to Bray. "Of course I'm trying out. Nothing is more exhilarating than smacking a bludger at someone. Especially when it hits." Fay grinned and stretched her arms above her head.
"Herbology eh? I'm doing alright in that class. Not my favorite though." She wrinkled her nose slightly. "I like more..spell casting than I do learning about plants." Fay shook her head, some of her hair fell out of the hold she had placed it in. "And those mandrakes, ug! Horrid little beasts."

Bray laughed, beaters always amused him with their mentality to inflict pain on others. "Ah, I wouldn't know since I'm a keeper and the one that usually gets hit with any sort of ball is me!" He frowned, remembering the many times he got hit with bludgers during his training, his sisters had a cruel sense of training.
Bray frowned and shut his book. "I detest Herbology and those nasty, squealing little mandrakes!" He said, almost shouting. Out of all the sections, they had to be working on mandrakes currently. That was probably why he wasn't attending those classes often anymore. "But, I do love charms and the like. I'd love to do non-verbal magic or even wandless magic," He said, spacing out at the idea.

Felicity laughed and flicked his forehead. "If I make the team, I'll try not to hit you during practice then." She stuck her tongue out slightly and flopped down on the grass. Fay layed on one of her arms, and her hair spread out around her head, wavy and unruly. She plucked at blades of grass as she stared up at the sky.
"So Bray, tell me, how come you're not afraid I'm going to charm you like all of the other men seem to think." A smirk tugged at her lips and she continued the pluck the grass. "All of them are so convinced I'll turn around and charm them or something." She pressed her lower lip out slightly and turned toward him. "Am I that intimidating?"

"Much appreciated, I'm sure. And I hope we do make it, because then the Ravenclaw team would totally kick arse." He said, smiling. Bray was such a charmer himself, and he barely even realized he was doing it; maybe that's why Bry smacked him so much?
"Hm, I don't know, maybe because I'm pretty sure you're not going to. Unless it's like a joke." He shrugged, not really concerned with bloodlines and biological essences of people; it was themselves that he judged, and he judged Fay to be pretty nice. "And I'm pretty sure you'd fall on your face before you could charm me."

Felicity rolled onto her stomach and propped her chin up with her hands. "I probably would." She grinned and laughed, shaking her head. "I think some higher being is destined me to fall on my face at the worst moments." Fay shifted her wand from her pocket to place it behind her ear. If a teacher came, she would probably be busted for not wearing her robe -which was folded next to the tree- but she didn't care.
Fay kicked her feet in the air, they swung back and forth rhythmetically. "Of course our team would beat everyone. I'd knock them all off the brooms, and you'd save all the goals." She grinned and sat up. One hand was placed across her forehead and she thrust the other hand in the air. "We'll have to carry the weight of the team. Oh what a burden has been placed on our shoulders!" Felicity was known to be rather...eccentric at times. She held the face for a bit, before breaking down into laughter again.

Bray laughegd a bit, it was prety common knowledge of Fay being a klutz, but she was definitely not alone; he could think of two Hufflepuffs right off the top of his head that were also clumsy little people. "Pfft, yeah. They don't even need a team besides us.. well, we need Ashton to catch the golden snitch so the game can be over after we get all the points, I guess."
Bray noticed that Fay seemed to move a lot, like she'd be sitting one moment and down the next. He smiled a bit, obviously amused by this. Bray's male genes were somewhat broken down and he could sit for the longest time, not bothered at all except when someone tried to get him to move. "And it's not like you're a freak or something. I'd have to say I'm more freaky than you." Bray said, referencing to his animagus that made him the butt of a few jokes.

Felicity grinned. "Well, Ashton's okay, so he can stay." She waved her hand flippantly. "But everything else we can do." Fay leaned slightly to the side, putting most of her weight on one hand. She picked up a 'puffball weed' -as she called them- and blew on it, sending the tiny flurries everywhere.
"Freak? Hardly." She looked back over to him. "Give or take a few oddities, but I still don't think you're a freak." Fay pulled some hair behind her ear, it was obscuring her vision again. "It's probably useful, being an animagus and all. If that was what you were referring to." Actually, it was the only slightly weird thing she could think of for Bray.

"Except we do need chasers to score the goals so I guess we better stick to our team. Plus, I love them all anyway." Bray raised an eyebrow when she picked up a weed and spread its seeds. "Oh, I'm sure the groundskeeper loves you." He said sarcastically before he once again opened his Herbology book to look at the mandrakes section.
"An animagus is cool, but when you get a lame one it's just kind of a burden." He said, frowning a bit. It was true that it was useful for sneaking out at first, but when most teachers recognize you in that form it's not as helpful.

Fay grinned and tossed the stem away. "My sister and I used to do this all the time." She sighed thoughtfully, a small smile still on her lips. "We were told that if you blew them all of in one blow, we could get a wish." Felicity flopped down and rested her arm across her forehead. "We tried for hours on end and only managed to do it once." She laughed and shook her head.
Felicity glanced back over to Bray. "I wish I had an animagus. Must be easier to sneak around and stuff with a small one. Plus, you could always just act like a students pet cat." She grinned again. "I don't think I've ever seen you shift before though."

Evette walked out of Herbology, laughing and chattering with her friends. She glanced over to the lake, and found what she was originally looking for. Fay was reading again, which was not unusual for her. Eve turned around and apologized to the group and ran to Felicity. When she got there, the girl plopped down with a sigh next to her friend.
"Tough test in Herbology, but I think I did well on it." She stopped, noticing a boy sitting near. "I don't recognize you. What's your name?" Eve smiled, her blue eyes radiating curiosity.

Bray shook his head a little. The things that people believed when they grew up. "Only you and your whacked family would sit there blowing weeds until you were too light-headed to do it anymore. But then again, all the seeds you spread would let you do it again tomorrow." He flipped the page even though he wasn't really looking at the book at all.
"You haven't seen?" He said, then grinned a bit. He placed his book down in his lap and closed his eyes for a minute, adding unnecessary drama to a process that took little or no effort. Soon he was sitting in his cat form, but he quickly groaned when the book decided to fall on him. He forgot that his cat form was still young. Wriggling out from under the heavy book, he walked over to Fay only to notice there was another girl complaining about Herbology.
Oh great. He thought, knowing that he would probably suck that test up. Sitting next to Fay, he decided to just stay in that form, hoping she didn't see him before he changed and that he could just be passed off as a pet rather than one of the school's illegal animagi.
( Long. xD )
