Ashton laughed softly, "Well, it may not be completely extinct." He assured her, "You just need to stop dwelling on the past so much, and look at what the future has to offer." He gave Ashlee a comforting smile, "I'm sure you'll find someone in time."

Ashlee laughed, "You know, I've actually thought about that alot lately and I don't think I'm even ready for a relationship. I'm still trying to figure out who I am to begin with and adding a significant other into my unclear life just might complicate things."
Ashlee shrugged, "I think I'll look around though, but I can't promise anything. And I don't live in the past, I just sometimes visit it," she said with a smile.

Ashton nodded, "Yeah, relationships can...complicate things." He sighed happily, "But they can also be a huge help? Like Maxi for instance, when I met him, I was just this shy, quiet kid with a dark past. And I still have a dark past, but I don't dwell on it as much as I used to."

Ashlee gave a nervous laugh, "Well then Ashton, find me a guy like Maxi then maybe I'll consider dating again," she said staring at the sky.
She looked at him and smiled, "I'm happy that you found someone that you can be yourself around. Someone that makes you feel that life is actually worth living," Ashlee looked back at the sky, "I just wish that I could find someone like that for myself," she said, almost in a whisper.

Ashlee laughed, "yeah, when hell freezes over," she said sarcastically. "Maybe I'm not meant to be with someone right now, or maybe I just need to stop feeling sorry for myself and see where it takes me. Either way, I'm screwed," she said with a laugh.

Ashlee sighed, "I wonder what I should do with my time now," she thought out loud. She looked at Ashtom, "Do you think the water's cold?" she asked.

Ashton chuckled, "Oh I'm sure it is!" A pause, "Not that I'd get in to find out of course!" He looked up at the sky, "Do you really think that loved ones are up there, watching over us?" he wondered, mostly to himself.

Ashlee sighed and gave a small shrug, "Who really knows for sure. They could be, I mean it is possible," she answered.
Ashlee looked around for a while wondering why Ashton was wondering about deceased loved ones.
