[Lake] The Calm Before the Storm....

Erika stood at the edge of the lake, it was late, close to midnight. The young vampire tilted her face towards the night sky, a gentle breeze stirred her hair, the air felt humid. It was the calm before the storm. Rikki gazed at the large, dark clouds rolling in across the sky, the wind increased in strength, whipping her raven-black hair across her face. "Storm's coming." she whispered softly to herself, suddenly the first flash of lightning steaked across the sky, Erika smiled, fangs glittering in the light. She loved storms. She stood there watching, not realizing someone was behind her...

"Well, this is a surpise." Victor said softly. The wind rushing past him almost as if it was not touching him. His skin shinned softly in the pale moon light, that made it past the dark clouds. His eyes a fierce purple. "So child, when did you come to Hogwarts?" he asked knowing she had vampire blood. In all his years around this area he had only know of himself and the one who made him. "Your young as well, you cant be anymore then 5 years into the blood." He said softly

Erika whipped around, honey-gold eyes wide with surprise. "I've been here since last year." She replied. "I was born a vampire. Traits didn't become dominant until my sixteenth birthday the summer before I came." She crossed her arms, and gazed at the older vampire. "Why do you ask?" she asked in a cool voice.

"Iv been here for many years, and yet to find another besides my maker." He said softly "And now you." He looked at her and closed his eyes. "Not full vampire, something else, if I had to guess by the smell or the sound of your voice I would say siren." he said softly. "Come its not safe to be out here tonight, not for one so young." he said softly holding out his hand to her. You could see the blue vines under his white skin. He did not want to tell her his age just yet, but if she knew anything about vampires his skin may give it away.

Erika's gorgeous honey-colored eyes widened in surprise. "How did you know I'm a siren?" she whispered. She shrugged, "I don't mind being out, in fact I rather like it."

"Its not the storm im worried about." he said softly "There are things hunting us tonight." He said softly. "So if you wish to stay out here, i guess i will remain with you." he said softly moving over and sitting down under a large tree. "My name is Victor, and you are?" he asked not anwsering how he knew she was a siren.

Erika's eyes took on a slight look of fear, someone was hunting them?. "Who?" she asked. "I'm Erika. Erika McCallister." she answered.

"Humans, well vampire hunters." He said softly. "The Ministry of magic says they don't allow it, but they are the ones that pay them." He said softly "Don't worry Erika, you still look and act human." He said softly "As for me, iv long passed that." he said softly as he lifted his hand up. A few small stones nearly 10 foot away lifted off the ground, and skipped acrossed the lake. "So what do you know about vampires?" He asked her softly wondering what she knew.

Erika's brow furrowed in confusion. "There's vampire hunters? But... I'm still a student... I mean as long as I stay at school, I;m safe aren't I?" She shrugged, "I don't know much. I don't even remember being human really. It's like when I became a vampire, it erased all my human memories." She sighed, "I remember my parents though. I remember how much I love them. I... I remember seeing them murdered right in front of my eyes... it was so awful." she whispered, closing her eyes tight against the oncoming tears. "One thing I do know, is that I still seem to have most of my human traits, but I don't know why." She gave Victor a small glare, "You never did give me an answer as to how you know about my Siren blood."

"As you grow older, you become more powerful, and things like human emotions vanish." he said softly "I can smell your blood, i can tell that you are not full vampire." He said softly "A vampire hunter, is a mortal who is fully ready to kill a vampire. More less they do a good job of it as well."He said looking over at her. "Im sure your safe, no one but the head master knows, and you have not caused any trouble."

"The memories will come back as your grow older, becoming a vampire is like being born again, you forget everything." He said softly. "But as you grow older its harder to blend in to the world, your fangs will not beable to retract after a few hundered years, and your human traits tend to vanish." He smiled softly "And try not to cry around people, your tears are blood."

Erika just stared. "Wow." that was all she said, she was obviously at a loss for words! "Do you remember anything about being human?" she asked.

"I remember everything about it." He said softly. "I went here to Hogwarts, I still have my wand." he said smiling coldly "One of the few things I have still from that life. "I was taken wail at school here, but back then they did not care, it was exspected for a few students to disapper." he said softly. "When you grow older, you will find out you remember everything." He said softly as rain started falling down around them. "Come sit, I wont bite."

Erika laughed and sat down. She gazed up at the sky, smiling as the raindrops hit her face. "Is it possible for a vampire to fall in love?" she asked. She sighed, "I guess the reason I'm asking is because... well, there's this boy, Richard, he's human. He's in my year, but he's a Ravenclaw. I know I like him, but lately, I can't help but feeling that there's something more..."

"It's possiable, But you will have to find out on your own." He said softly. "Just remember we can't die, they will die. Most of them fear us, because we diffrent and by all far more powerful." He stopped and looked out over the lake as a flash of lighting lit the aera around them. "You may love him, but the fact remains, he will die." He looked over at her "You cant try to turn him either, your blood is no where near as powerful as it needs to be, and if you did your would have hunters after you both in the week." He said softly. He remember being a young vampire still having human feelings and worries.

Erika sighed. "Someone just kill me. Now." she grumbled. "I hate my life sometime's."
