(Lake) Hello clouds; goodbye problems

Bray shrugged. "I'm sure you'll see it.. eventually." He laughed then grunted a bit when he was pulled, more like fell, to the ground. At least it felt like it was warming up, he would definitely have to sit in front of the common room fireplace for a couple hours. Well, at least Bry was kinda keeping him warm; it's amazing she was any warmer than him, girls must have amazing circulation.

Bray frowned a bit. 'I guess it's only natural for her to try and fix one of my problems after her own are out of the way.' He thought. "Do I have a problem with Shay?" He asked, deciding to go for the more ignorant side to this.

Bry looked at him and shook her head, "I never said you had a problem with him," she started but realizing she didn't know Shay as well as she knew Bray she decided to drop it, "Nevermind. I just don't know him that well is all. Maybe the three of us should hang out together sometime," she said playing with the string on his hoodie.

Bradyn looked tense so she decided to change subjects, "So, the new DADA professor! She looks young," she said looking at him.

"Perhaps I just try to keep him happy." He said, shrugging with his other shoulder but he only managed to get some snow down the back of his shirt; lovely. "..Yeah.." Bray said distractedly, deciding that wouldn't be a smart plan remembering what happened when Bray met his sister.

Ah, the new DADA professor. "She's too young, she's still hot." He said, before he remembered who he was talking to. Whoops, at least he was being honest. Professor Darling seemed to be nice, though, even if she probably graduated last year.

Bry looked at him and hit him softly, "HEY!," she said trying to sound offended. With a laugh she nodded, "Yeah, I guess she is pretty, I think she actually graduated from Beauxbatons," she told him, "Though, its just a rumor until its found true," she added.

She sighed and let go of the string, "I'm that way too, I like to make Ari happy, so I can sorta relate," she said with a small laugh. She noticed his tone when he spoke, "If you don't think that anything good will come out of the three of us hanging out, then don't worry about it. But trust me, I don't think it will be as bad as you think," she said with a wink.

Bradyn laughed a bit and put up his arm to try and block her smack. "I heard that too, and it's probably true since I didn't see her at Hogwarts, and she doesn't look old enough to have graduated before we came." But then again, they'd never know until someone asked, even if logic told them it was true.

"Hmm, I guess you won't break his jaw like my sister did.." Bray smiled a bit when he remembered that, but Shay had it coming to him for his smartalec remarks. "But who knows? I'll talk to him about it, I guess." Maybe Bray did like to make people happy too much.

Briar laughed and nudged him, "Now you're just trying to make me happy. That's not fair," She said looking at him.

With a sigh, Bry stared up at the clouds, unsure of what to say next. She placed her head on his shoulder again and continued to gaze at the sky in silence, hoping Bray would start talking. Bry was at lose of words and didn't care for once.

Bradyn laughed. "I don't think trying to make someone mad on purpose is a good idea?" Unless that person's Erika, but that's a different story. He sighed quietly since it had gotten quiet, and for Bry that was unusual. Perhaps it was his turn to talk this time. Looking back up at the clouds, he smiled.

Bray pulled his arm out from under Bry, tired of it being smashed between them. Pausing to think for a second, he decided to let his arm settle around her shoulders. Blushing a bit, he kept his focus on the clouds. They were moving fast, even thought it wasn't a windy day. "Hey Bry, since you know why I'm out here. Why are you out here on this frigid day?"

Bry blushed when she felt Bray put his arm around her shoulder. A big grin appeared on her face and she quickly turned her head to hide it.

Bry looked at him and shrugged, "To bug you," she said with a smile. She laughed and shook her head, "I got a letter from my mom. Read it, wrote back, came out here to think. No actual reason, probably just to get out of the castle and get some fresh air."

Bradyn laughed. "Somehow I'm not surprised." He smiled, knowing that she was joking.. unless she knew he was out there, and that was just a touch on the creepy side. "Oh? How's your family?" He asked, not meaning to be nosy, he just didn't really know what to talk about.

"And it's too nice of a snowy day to stay inside. Who needs warm fireplaces anyway?" He asked, and shivered at the thought of how cold he actually was.

Briar laughed and nudged him lightly, "Hey! To be completely honest, I didn't even know you were out here when I came outside," she said defensively, but in a humorous manner.

Bry sighed, "They're alright, I suppose. Mom's working hard with her column and My dad's busy playing matchmaker. Cessy's still at Beaubaxton's and loving it. Mom says she has no intentions of transferring like Ari and I did. Um... my dad says Kit is doing great," she looked at him, "Kit would by my Siamese cat," she said with a smile.

Bradyn smiled. "Uh huh.." He said, rolling his eyes as if he didn't believe her, just to tick her off a little. He nodded a little as he listened to the little rant about her family's doing. "Matchmaker?" He laughed a bit, amused by such a girlie job that he father did, but he'd never admit that of course.

"Ah, a Siamese? I once had a summer fling with a Siamese before, didn't go too well when she found out I was half human." He said, looking at her with a serious face for about 2 seconds before he broke out laughing. "I'm only kidding!" Bray had to do it if she was going to make little cat comments while he was around, he was cat boy afterall. Plus, it was entertaining to him to see some people's reactions to little comments like that.

Bry nodded, "My dad's cupid," she simply said to his comment. It was the truth after all. He was cupid, she wasn't gonna hide it from him.

She looked at him strangely, "Better not have been with Kit," she joked, "She had kittens last summer," she said with a laugh. Bry shook her head, funny... she thought to herself. Bry looked at him, "How's you family?" she asked. Might as well, he asked about her family, right?

Bradyn raised a 'brow at Bry saying she was the daughter of cupid, but decided not to say anything on that. "I can assure you not, that's quite nasty." He laughed, seeing as he felt a little awkward about the cat thing presently.

"Just the usual, mum's fretting over Nicko, my dorky little brother, since he's the only one at home still and still doing laundry the old fashioned way. Pa's doing his novel series on old magic, which he won't tell anyone about. My oldest sister, Rose, I don't really know where she is. My guess is she's either with dragons in Romania, or cutting muggle's hair in France. She got mad at pa and walked out years ago, but she'll still come around for summer holidays," He shrugged, thinking that he ought to start writing to her. "May's my scariest sister, but we're pretty close since she never leaves me alone. Supposedly she's coming to work at Hogwarts as a professor, but I've be really surprised if she did." He added, as if that would explain the eccentric behavior of his sister, even he didn't understand he though. He blinked a bit realizing all he had said about his family, and guessed it was just because there were so many of them.

Briar places one leg over the other, "Well, wouldn't it be considered a good thing to have a family member as a teacher? Especially if you attended their class? I mean, If Ari was as teacher, she'd give me a little more lieniency that others. I'd consider that to be a good thing," she said with a laugh, "Unless your sister is the complete opposite and expects you to be better than everyone else. See, my mom would be hard on me if she was a teacher. I probably wouldn't get away with anything!" she told him.

Bry looked up at the sky, "Are you getting cold? I am, well, a little. Not so much anymore," she said with a grin.

It felt good laying here with him. She only hoped that he felt some what the same. Bry sighed, it had been a long time since she had an actual relationship. Did she really want one now? Bry figured she'd just let fate decide that. She wasn't going to use her gift to answer a simple question. Personal gain wasn't quite her thing anyway.

Bradyn frowned. "Yeah, I guess it could have it's perks. but I think she has more of 'public humiliation' in mind for me, even if she's not trying." He thought for a moment on how he could explain it. "She said she's going to start teaching Transfiguation, which would be something I'm good at, hence having an animagus. I think you can imagine what that will be like."

Then he turned a bit to her. "Well, I was freezing but you're doing a good job of keeping me warm. So I'm alright." He said with a cheeky smile. Even if he was frozen solid, he probably wouldn't leave until Bry wanted to, he did have manners, afterall. Deciding that talking about his sister starting to teach soon couldn't last long, he wondered what they would talk about next. Ashton and Maxi came to mind but he decided that would be an odd, and someone dismal, discussion.
