Vanessa had just gotten back from a rather promising day at the lake with a boy named Blake Adams. She had never met him before than, and so, his house was a mystery to her. He was quite handsome, and a tad humorous with a heep of self confidence. Tyler had been at his parent's house despite his lack of enthusiasm, or so she thought. She sat on one of the few black leather couches, filing away at her fingernails with a clearly noticable smile.
It was fairly late and she was dressed in silver silk pajama set which consisted of a long sleeved button up shirt and matching pants. Her hair was up in a high ponytail, legs crossed over one another on her right side. Then it hit her. She had forgotten all about Tyler not being there, and soon realized that he would arrive at the castle any minute from now. Ok, Nessa. Try to look a little less happy. She took a deep breath, but her smile just wouldn't break.

The door to the Slytherin common room burst open and a large trunk came flying threw it hitting against the wall directly across from the door. The trunk opened from the force of the hit and spewed the personal belongs inside it all over the place. A very frustrated looking Tyler Rockwood stormed into the room after the suitcase explosion. “God I hate that woman,” he said angrily not caring who else was in the room. Tyler shoved his wand back into his robe pocket and looked around to see who happened to witness his outbreak not bothering to clean up his things. He’d let one of the house elves take care of it later.
Tyler looked around the room and there seemed to be none around, except for one person sitting on one of the black couches. Tyler quickly walked over the couch and sat down next to the Slytherin girl. Talking to Vanessa would defiantly cheer him up; heck even looking at him did the trick sometimes. “Did ya miss me?” Tyler asked trying to force a smile onto his face. He really wasn’t in the mood to be happy. Tyler noticed Vanessa’s rather cheery smile witch was rather unusual especially for her. “What are you all happy about?” He asked wondering what event he missed that made her so cheerful today.

Vanessa jumped as the door swung open, watching all of Tyler's things go flying across the room. Perhaps smiling wouldn't be the best idea at the moment, especially with the mood Tyler was in. She bit down into her lower lip, a nervous habit she couldn't quite get over, and slid the nail file on the table that sat beside her. Now, to come up with what she did earlier that day. Surely she couldn't just straight out tell tim she had spent it with a boy. A boy Tyler didn't even know or trust.
She glanced over at him as soon as he sat down, attempting a calm and collected exterior. Did ya miss me? "Of course. I've been waiting for you to get back all day, actually. Boring, boring, boring, let me tell you." Vanessa stuck her tongue out at him, adjusting herself to sit Indian style on the couch. What are you all happy about? "Nevermind that. How was your day, other than dreadful?"

Of course. I've been waiting for you to get back all day, actually. Boring, boring, boring, let me tell you. Well that statement made Tyler’s mood a little better. He could always cont on Vanessa for that. Tyler laughed a little bit when she stuck her tongue out at him. It was actually kind of cute.
Tyler was a little surprised when Vanessa decided to just ignore his question, which made him even more curious, but he’d worry about that later. “Besides Dreadful?” Tyler though for a moment, was there any other way to describe his experience? “Just great,” he said sarcastically. “Yup, mum took me to the zoo and we feed the baby dragons. It was loads of fun.” This kind of put a smile on Tyler’s face…if only it were the truth. “Oh yeah, and she called me a blood traitor for wanting to call off the arrangement.” Tyler’s eyes began to fill with rage once again. “I am not a blood traitor,” he yelled slamming his fist onto the table.

Vanessa listened intently as he went on, knowing none of it to be true. Yup, mum took me to the zoo and we feed the baby dragons. It was loads of fun. In his dreams, maybe. Tyler had never had a very healthy relationship with his mother, mostly because he wouldn't dare conform to her ways. Vanessa was different in that sense. She listened to her parents about absoloutely everything, no matter how unhappy their demands made her. I mean, the girl couldn't have sugar for crying out loud. Everything she did from the beginning of her first year at Hogwarts was to prepare her for marriage. To conform to everything the pureblood name stood for.
She winced once more as his fist slammed down onto the table, looked a tad uncomfortable. "Wait, what arrangment?," she questioned, tilting her head delicately to one side. "You're gonna have to clue me in on this one."

“Sorry about that,” Tyler said rubbing his hand for a moment. “Guess I got a little carried away.” Tyler let out a soft sigh before beginning his explanation. His mother was always doing things to make his life a living hell. She had stupid rules that Tyler refused to follow, like expecting him to always dress up, wash his hands before dinner, and stick to a strict diet. He didn’t care about any of that stupid crap. He much preferred his baggy jeans, which his mother calls muggle trash even though they were handmade by house elves in some poor country. Tyler would never stoop so low as to wear muggle clothes.
“Well you know about the whole stupid arranged marriage thing obviously well the whole reason she wanted me to come home was because she needed to get me fitted for a new dress robe that had just came in the mail or something I don’t know where it came from but whatever. I figured it was the one I ordered for the dance but this one was completely different from the one I wanted so I asked her what this was for and it turns out she’s scheduled for me to meet the girl I’m going to marry in a few days at some stupid restaurant in Hogsmede.” Tyler was getting frustrated again but he restrained himself from letting it out. “So obviously I got upset and the lady hemming my robes stuck me with the needle because I was moving around. But yeah so I asked my mum to call off this stupid meeting because I don’t want meet her or even marry her and well you can probably guess that didn’t end well.” Tyler turned his head so Vanessa could see the other side and you could see a slight difference in color but if you looked closer you could see a light red handprint. “So we got in this huge fight and on the whole way to the train she was just yelling and screaming which is when she called me a blood traitor. Ugh it was just an awful day and I’ve got that stupid ugly dress robe to remember it by.” Tyler looked down at his red hand, it still hurt a little bit but he didn’t care. ‘If only my father wasn’t always out of town,’ he thought to himself.
