Adam wandered down the gravelly path towards the lake. Upon reaching it, he waved his wand and a blanket appeared, upon the blanket was a single white candle, and a romantic dinner setting for two. Laying to the side was a bouqet of roses, half were white, and half were black, however there was one rose in the middle, that was red, and tied to this rose, on a black sating and lace ribbon was a ring. An engagment ring. The ring, which was hidden by the stems of the other roses, was set with an emerald, and around the band, were Celtic knots. He had sent Lidia a note, asking her to meet him at the lake at ten till midnight. So, she should be here soon.

Lidia had received Adam's note and had timed it so she would be there at exactly ten till'. She thought this was going to be just a nice, romantic dinner. She had put her hair into a french twist and dawned a black and white dress. She had hoped Adam would wear something that matched her. Lidia could see the blanket from where she was now. "Adam." She said, as she kept her eyes on the beautiful bouquet of roses.

Adam smiled as Lidia came into view. "Lidia" he answered, standing up to kiss her. Breaking off the kiss, Adam reached down and picked up the bouqet of roses. "I believe these are for you mia bella." He said with a smile, as he handed over the roses.

Lidia smiled as she kissed him. "L'Adam, sono cosà belli. Lei stupisce. L'amo." She said, as he handed them to her. This moment was perfect in her eyes, even though they were filling with tears. "I.. I don't know what to say." She whispered, afraid to ruin the moment.
((translation: Adam, they are so beautiful. You are amazing. I love you.))

Adam smiled, he was practically bursting to tell her. "I love you too." He whispered. He smiled, "But the roses aren't as beautiful as what's hidden in them. See the red rose in the middle? Pull it out."

Lidia smiled back at him. "Adam, what are you going to do?" She questioned as she pulled the rose out. What was on it surprised her more than anything. "Honey?" She asked, with an excited look on her face when she saw what the ring looked like. She did cry this time. There was only one reason a guy would buy a ring like this.

Adam smiled, no beamed, as he took the rose from Lidia's hand, untying the ribbon, he let the ring fall into his hand. Looking at Lidia with pure love in his eyes, he got down on one knee. "Lidia, this past year and a half that we've been together, have been the most wonderful and magical years of my life. And I want it to stay this way forever. Lidia Cullen, will you marry me?" he smiled as he held out the ring, ready to slip it onto her finger.

Lidia let her tears fall, smudging her mascara. She started to shake with happy sobs as Adam got down on one knee. "Yes. Yes, I would love to marry you." She said, as she held out a shaky hand to him. As soon as he slipped it on she kissed him, really kissed him. This was the happiest moment of her life and she wanted to make it her most memorable moment as well. Lidia was smart enough to know that things weren't going to get any easier now that she was going to be married.

Adam's face glowed with love and happiness as he wrapped his arms around Lidia. "I love you so much Liddy, I always will. You know that don't you?" He whispered softly rubbing a hand up and down her back, and gently placing a kiss on the top of her head. She smelled like vanilla and cinnamon and he soon found himelf immersed in her scent.

Lidia cried on his shoulder, letting some of here own weight fall onto him. "I know you love me and I love you." She whispered into the nook of his neck. Adam smelled wonderful and she hoped he would notice her new shower gel. She silently smiled as he kissed the top of her head.

Adam laughed, "I love you more!" he teased. He grinned down at Lidia, "You know, you smell good. Sorta like vanilla and cinnamon."

Lidia smiled up at him. ''You can if you want." She said, not wanting to really talk, but just look at him. It was like she was seeing the world from a different view. "So what shall we do now, my love?"

Adam smiled, "I don't know. But dinner sounds about right." Taking Lidia's hand, he led her to the picnic blanket, "May I help you take your seat?" he asked with a smile.

Lidia smiled, "Um... Food." She had gotten hungry while walking down here. She held on to his hand and walked with him to the picnic basket. "Of course you may." She said, with a smile and a kiss on his cheek.

Adam smiled at Lidia, and kissed her back, leading her over to the picnic basket, he directed her to the plate facing the lake, and he took the one across from it, facing the castle. With a wave of his wand, a four course meal appeared complete with chips and salsa for the appetizer, a caesar salad, fettucine alfredo, and to finish it off, two pieces of lemon cake. With another wave, two wine glasses appeared and next to them, a bottle of Merlot a popular red wine. "So, I didn't go too over the top did I?" he asked as he opened the wine and poured them each a glass.
