Maxi walked into the Hospital wing, Fay was still in his arms, Jase and Laney following him close behind. Everyone had looked at them as they passed in the corridors, speculating what must have happened. Maxi couldnt believe he had been so stupid and let Jase get to him the way he had. He felt ashamed of himself, but more than that, he felt like he'd let his friends down, like he'd let Laney down.
Walking past a couple of patients, people were beginning to see that Maxi wasnt the angel everyone used to think he was. He hurt people, whether intentionally or not he did, and now it seemed as though he did it pysically too. He placed Fay down on a bed and sat next to her, Jase sat on the opposite side, even Jase took hold of one of Felicity's hands, Maxi was stroking her hair, the way the two were acting it was as though a family member was on their death bed. Maxi wouldnt look at Laney, he didnt want to see the dissapointment in her eyes, but he wasnt going to apologize to Jase either.
"This got out of hand, I'm sorry Fay"
Maxi stated, his mouth hurt as he talked, he could still taste blood in his own mouth and his left eye had completley shut now it was that swollen. He raised a hand to his lip, that was swollen too. Though all he cared about right now was Fay, looking up at Jase he said,
"Why did you have to come here?" "Ask my mother." "Were you always this violent?" "..."
Jase didnt answer that question, instead he just looked down at Fay. Maxi forced himself to look up at Laney, if Jase had hurt her, Max would have killed him. He looked back down to Fay, he was still stroking her hair, he felt so ashamed of himself because of what happened and he never wanted to feel like that again. If it was just him and Jase, fine, but Fay, like the decent person she was, which is more than can be said about Max and Jase, had tried to stop them and in result been hurt herself.

Carolanne had followed Maxi and Jase to the Hospital wing. How this had happened, she wouldn't know. She had learned that questioning things wouldn't turn the clock back. As they walked, she kept an eye on Jase as Maxi had told her to do. Though she still didn't know why.
Laney sat at the foot of the bed by Fay's legs. She stared at the injured girl as Maxi spoke, unable to look at him, "Things happen, Max." It was all she could manage to say at the moment. She wasn't mad at Maxi or even Jase, she knew events happened for unexplained reasons; besides what happened was done.
The boys began to bicker again and Lane shut her eyes, "Do you guys have to do that here of all places?" she said before giving a stern look to Max and Jase. "Please, just keep any comments to yourself until we know Fay will be alright"
Carolanne looked up at Jase then turned to Maxi. She could tell he was hurt, both emotionally and physically. He didn't mean for this to happen and it showed in his eyes. Laney stood up and walked around the bed so she was standing by Max. Why wasn't there a healer around? She glanced at all the students in beds and gave an impatient sigh, "You'd think someone would be here."

As they walked down the corridors, Felicity drifted into a somewhat unconscious state. She was still well aware of everything going on around her, but to the eyes of others it probably looked like she had fallen unconscious. Her head still hurt too much to let her slip into the awaiting darkness.
There was a change in position, and she found that she was laying on a bed. It was much more comfortable on her head, but the throbbing never ceased. Someone was stroking her hair, and another person was holding onto her hand. She wished she could open her eyes, or speak, but somehow she found she couldn't. Her fingers gripped Jase's hand lightly.
Somehow, Felicity couldn't help but worry how both Maxi and Jase were taking this. Were they blaming themselves? It wasn't their fault, it was her own stupidity that brought this on her. She didn't hate either of them, she was only worried about them. They were never going to get along were they?
Fay shifted her head slightly, and a wave of pain washed over her. Her body stiffened instantly in response, and her breathing became a bit more jagged.
This moment reminded her of something that Bray often told her. 'You can't save everyone Fay. Some people need to fight their own battles.' Felicity always knew it was true, but she couldn't just stand by and watch her friends struggle. That wasn't who she was.

It seemed that on this particular day the students of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry were intent on injuring themselves and each other. Archibald could not have said why and he was certain that the students could also not give a definite answer. Whatever the why, Archi knew he had a job to do and he was doing it as fast as he short legs could carry him.
"You will feel the effect in the next minute," he concluded to a Slytherin fourth year who had sought him out personally. Both Archi and Carrieanne were running around the Hospital Wing like headless chickens but it was unavoidable. Archi crossed to the cabinet behind the desk in the corner of the room and, climbing the step ladder, put the green vial back into its place. As he moved down the ladder there was more commotion as a tall blond boy came in carrying a dark haired girl. Two other students followed the two.
Archibald made his way as soon as he could towards the bed the blond boy had chosen (which wasn't as fast as some may have liked, clearly, upon the blond girl's words). Arriving at the bed, Archibald looked at the two boys. They were bloodied, bruises already forming. Archi had often wondered if it was worth not inquiring and simply treating the wounds but he knew he couldn't do that.
"And what happened here?" he said, wipping out his wand and waving it over his shoulder. The step ladder he had just used levitated and began to float over. Archi moved around the tall blond boy and pushed him aside so he could get to the dark haired girl on the bed. "Go on," he barked in his gruff, husky voice. "Explain." The ladder landed neatly in front of him and he climbed the two steps so he was at a better vantage point.
The girl appeared to be unconscious. Archi reached out and opened one eye, then the next, looking at this with a stony expression on his face. Putting two short fingers on the girl's wrist, Archi stretched out his arm and looked at his watch. He counted, silently, and sighed. Looking down at the beautiful child, Archibald noticed there was discolouration in her hair. Reaching out, he touched it, feeling warm fresh blood.
Snorting, Archi reached out and gently rolled the girl's head over, noticing the darker patch at the back of her head. Waving his wand again, Archi turned to the three other students gathered. "Someone is going to have to tell me what happened here," he said softly, his gravel voice not transmitting the gentleness well.
