When Ashton repeated what his fellow Professor had said Dan found it hard not to laugh, he could just hear Theo saying that in his head in his normal mocking tone, every word coated in a thick layer of sarcasm. Shaking his head Dan tried to compose himself before looking the Ravenclaw in the eyes again, he knew he needed to be careful as he did not want Ashton to go and tell Dia that he was laughing in the face of someone in her house, but this was classical.
“Ashton it does not matter what language you speak I agree with you there but neither can you go around shouting at any member of staff in this school. You need to remember your place, you are a student here to learn and we are the poor buggers who have to make sure you do not burn the place down.”
Dan looked over at Theo and grinned at him, he had only ever talked to the man a few times in the staff room or at the dinner table but although he seemed like an annoying, arrogant troll he could actually be rather fun.
“Ashton just clam down, I will talk to Coach Harding and please remember to control your tempter when you are around professor ok Emo Boy.”
Dan could not help himself; it had made him laugh so much he had to call Ashton it. He did not mean it offensively, in fact he gave the Ravenclaw a small wink as well but it was just pure gold…Girty would find it just as funny later when he told her.
