Her fingers tingling with the cold of the rain, but her lips searing with the heat of his kiss, V smiled and tipped her head backward when he released her, drops of rain hitting her cheeks and sliding off with grace and beauty far less relevant than Veata's. Somehow, this encounter with Narcissus didn't make her feel any less of herself, if anything she felt more beautiful than the ever had, if that were even possible. Gooseflesh had made its way up her legs, down her arms, and had even lifted the small hairs on the back of her neck. But V didn't think it was from the cold.
It seemed strange that so shortly after telling Erys off for liking that Joshua boy, she was out in the rain, kissing a male rather passionately by the lakeside. But there was a distinct difference. Veata and Narcissus had done this without any of the mushy affection, the filthy romance. Lust, loveless.
...All the same, she just wouldn't mention this to Erys.
Opening her eyes and looking up at him, she swing one arm around to grasp his hand in hersand yanking on it, V hauled herself to her feet. She leaned close to him, breathing in silently, a scent now intermingled with her own. "You could never even compare to me," she whispered intimately, bringing her mouth painfully close to his, before turning on her heel and heading back toward the castle through the pouring rain.[/font]
