Gryffindors were a breed that Nathan despised almost as much as Hufflepuff’s, they were a stupid and arrogant lot who believed that everything they touch turned to gold. At least Hufflepuff’s knew they were worthless (well they seemed to until that Hubbles came around…but that was another gripe of Nathan’s all together)
There in fact on group of particular Gryffindors that made Nathan groan every time they walked past, they called themselves the ’popular’ Gryffindors and it had to be the three biggest self loving air heads as the main leaders, there was on in particular who did not know when to keep his mouth shut…Blake Adams. They heard far to much about this Gryffindor in the Slytherin common room…some girls actually liked him and this was not to tolerated.
Today was a day that Nathan and his ally (Nathan would never use the word friend…it showed warmth and affection something this Slytherin did not have) Evra Thorn had planed to corner this good for nothing Gryffindor. It was to be a two pronged attack, Nathan would be there at first and confront the idiot before Evra turned up and out flank the sod to make sure he can not run away to the rest of his ’gang’
Patiently Nathan waited at the entrance of the sixth floor corridor watching the main staircase as stream and streams of Gryffindors rushed past going to and from their common room until the moment arrived when he saw his victim. A think cruel smile filled the Slytherin’s face and he strolled out of the corridor and barged straight into Blake Adams, of course making it seem like a total accident.

After another amusing charms lesson, Blake had decided to go drop off his stuff in the commonroom before heading down to the lake. It was yet another pleasant day in September, and himself, Harri and Tobe were planning to go ‘check things out’ by the lake. Not that they would have to do much to be noticed in the first place. Indeed they could barely go anywhere without a small following.
Blake being so absorbed in his thoughts and plans for the day had not really been paying a great amount of attention to where he was going. He had walked the path to the commonroom so many times it was no longer required. As he rounded a corner to enter the sixth floor corridor, something barged heavily into his side. Blake found himself being knocked slightly off balance, though sticking an arm out he managed to plant it onto the nearby wall to stop himself falling. He turned to face where the person that had collided with him would be. As he went he ran his hands through his hair to remove it from his eyes as well as uttering apologies, even though it had not strictly been his fault.
Blake found himself facing a Slytherin, with an expression he did not at all like. Though intrigued to why a Slytherin was up at this part of the school nevertheless. But out of sheer manners he smiled at the Slytherin. "Afternoon."

Now this was one day Evra had been looking forward to. Nathan and himself had been plotting for a short while, upon how best to come about some ego bruising, there had been much talk of a particular Gryffindor in their commonroom of late. Most peculiar indeed and it had to be stopped.
Evra had been loitering at the top of the stairs a short way from Nathan, though far enough as so not to cause suspicion. There he was, Adams walked passed him, seemingly paying little attention to his surroundings. ‘The jerk’ walking about, extremely liable to walk into to something and no one even batted an eyelid. Now this was unfair treatment of the highest degree. If he had been a Slytherin, not that such filth could be, but if he had of been then he would either have been assumed to be upto something or there would have been tuts of disgust from those nearby.
Keeping a slight distance behind, he followed Adams around the corner. And it had begun. A blur, which was of course Nathan, shoulder barged into the proud nonce a little way ahead of him. With a smirk, Evra continued, walked up behind him. And leant against the wall. “What have we here a Gryffindor caught off his guard?” He declared, raising his voice and waiting for the recognition.

This Gryffindor had some nerve thinking that he could talk to him, saying afternoon in such a friendly manor, Nathan was appalled. The mere suggestion that these two were friends was too much to even comprehend, the thought of them being acquaintances was bad enough as it was. Choosing to sneer instead of say any form of reply to the Gryffindor Nathan waited a few seconds more when he heard Evra’s voice, right on time.
With his fellow house member at his side Nathan’s confidence grew even more, the cruel smile just seemed to grow as he looked at the surprised expression on the grease balls face. Many could comment that having two Slytherin’s pick on an individual Gryffindor was a form of cowardice but at least they were making a stand. Nathan was appalled at his housemate’s actions of late. Liking Gryffindors, being friendly with them…had they no respect for the past rivals between their two houses?
“I would watch what you say Adams it would be hard to chat up members of your fan club with boils all over your face.”

Blake turned on the spot as a second voice sounded from right behind him. The surrounding atmosphere tensed somewhat, Slytherins were generally not welcome in the sixth floor corridor for reasons such as this. As of late, the rivalry between the houses had lessened, it had been nice while it had lasted. However it appeared things were about to change, well if their faces were anything to go by.
“Caught off guard? Why of course not. Ready for anything us Gryffindors.” Blake said sweetly noting the smirk on Thorn’s face. Whom was now leant against the same wall, which had stopped Blake falling to the cold floor moments before. Though next Holloway spoke, attracting Blake’s attention once again. Smiling at him Blake stated, “Oh you do not have to worry about me, I have no issues with keeping a civil tongue. However as for the latter part, i’m sure I would find that no harder than you or your friend here do on a day to day basis.” This was obviously going to wind them up, it was perhaps a slightly low blow. However he did say it as though it were of little consequence to himself, which to a certain degree it was. Blake did not take insults to heart, least of all from those who did not know him.

Evra twitched slightly and could not help but glare with distaste at the Gryffindor as he put on a sweet voice to address him. Did this insufferable boy not realise whom he was messing with. Evra watched with a small smirk tugging at the corners of his lips as Nathan uttered a slight threat. Wondering how long it would take for Adams to quake in his boots and flee to his fellow ‘popular’ Gryffindors.
Glaring with disdain, Evra spat at Adam’s reply without attempting to remove the venom from his voice. “And what is that meant to mean. I think you will find that we have a little more dignity we do not go for mudbloods!” They had watched, as this pompous poofey haired Gryffindor had single handedly ruined the honoured Slytherin demeanour, well no more. He would have to tread more carefully from now on, or he would find himself facing some real issues.
Evra drew himself to full height moving away from the wall upon which he had been leaning. He moved towards him slowly, with a glint in his eye, blocking the exit of the sixth floor corridor from Adams’ view. How long would he cope with this pressure before the nonce ran away with his tail between his legs. “So Adam’s where are your ickle friends now, pretty-boys should not wander far from each other, very inadvisable.”
