Karis watched as Noel peered out the window, and she followed his gaze and looked out the window also. Noticing it was looking a bit better she raised her eyebrows. "It's starting to look a bit better outside" she said before Noel asked her about Wales. She turned back to him and her eyebrows went back to normal. "Yeah there's a Welsh Magic school, but it's not got a very good reputation, and it's pretty dull" she replied. "I just got a feeling I needed to come here" she smiled at him. "It's called Calwhymen" she continued. She looked out the window once again and noticed a few grey clouds which she hadn't noticed before.

Noel nodded in agreement when Karis talked about the sky looking better all of a sudden. He watched Karis as she talked about Wales, and going to Hogwarts instead of the Welsh school. "Well, that's good." He commented, smiling back at her. Noel followed her gaze to the window, seeing now that the sky held grey clouds as well. "Looks like it might rain again.." He said, staring out the window now.
Looking down Karis's books, he somewhat flipped through them, interested in what she was working on. "Let me guess, you were working on Runes or something along those lines?" Noel asked, holding up 'Spellman's Syllabary'.
[ehh.. couldn't think..]

Karis nodded sadly when Noel flipped through her book. "Unfortunately. Half of that stuff in that book makes no sense to me at all" she said, pushing some hair away from her face, it was tickling her and making her flick her head which in turn, made her look like she was going crazy. Realising they had been walking for a while, she looked around. "I'm kinda hungry, do you want to go eat?" she asked Noel, wanting to spend more time with him.
[Urgh, REALLY bad, Sorry lol]

Noel chuckled lightly. "I know what you mean.. I prefer Care of Magical Creatures, myself. Runes makes no sense at all.." He replied, smiling again. There it was again. That smile that never seemed to go away. Noel was pretty sure he was born with a smile on his face, since it never seemed to cease existing. When Karis asked if he wanted to go eat, Noel nodded. "That'd be great. I'm getting hungry myself." Deciding that if they were going to eat, he was going to carry all of Karis's books. Reaching over, he grabbed the rest of her books, and smiled at her.

"I love Care of Magical Creatures too!" She said, stopping and getting rather excited. The lessons were always so amazing and interesting, not to mention all the fascinating creatures they were introducted to. Karis smiled at Noel as he agreed he was hungry too, he then took her remaining books off her. She looked shocked for a moment before giving him a big smile. "How come?" she asked about him taking the books. He was so nice.

Noel laughed as Karis stopped, looking excited that someone shared the common interest. "So.. Should we grab something to eat from the Kitchens, and look for somewhere to eat? Or should we go eat in the Great Hall?" He asked, letting Karis decide.
He paused for a minute when she asked why he'd taken her books. Thinking about it for a minute, he chuckled to himself. It was almost like asking why he had blonde hair. He couldn't really control it, it was more, of an instinct. "Why not?" He questioned back, grinning by now.

Karis gave a hearty laugh at Noel's decision to steal all of her books and not just some of them. It felt like the light that was normally inside her, was brighter since Noel and her met, especially since he took the books off her. He was a real gentleman, and she saw beyond the Hufflepuff exterior when he did that. Smiling at herself and her thoughts, she pushed her wavy blonde hair back behind her ear on one side. "Well, Thank you Noel" she gave him a slight smile, and became a little shy. She began to think of food again, so she turned her attention back to that. "Anything is good for me, where do you want to go? Your choice! I refuse to choose" she said sticking her tongue out cheekily at him.

Noel grinned at Karis's laugh. At least she wasn't going tackle him, steal her books back, and make a fuss about being able to carry her own books. He was defiantly regretting not talking to her at least five years earlier. But it seemed, if someone walked by them right then and there, you probably wouldn't be able to tell they just started having a real conversation today. "You're welcome." He responded, smiling.
But of course, she was going to make him choose. Noel laughed as she stuck out her, as if she was mocking him. "That's not very fair. Lady's choice!" He said, smirking. He was willing to fight back, but he knew he'd probably be the one picking in the end. The Courtyard would his first choice, but with the weather being iffy, there was no telling if it would rain on them, or if it would blow away their meal.

"Nu-uh!" she merely said and folded her arms in stubbornness. There was no way she'd be able to choose, she really didn't mind, just as long as they could keep talking. If the weather got better, then the courtyard would be a nice place, but it wasn't looking good.
"Like I said, you choose, I refuse. Besides, Lady's shouldn't get their own way all the time, that's when they become diva's" she reeled off. It was a saying her mother had always said to her, to let her know she wouldn't always get everything she wanted and to keep her feet on the ground. To Karis, there was nothing worse than someone pretending to be special and better than everyone else when infact, they were just the same.

Noel laughed again, and shook his head. "Come now, you can't honestly think I'll pick!" He said, and began thinking of an excuse. The only one he could think of, was being a Neutral Norwegian. Well, he'd have to give it a shot. "I'm Norwegian. I can't possibly pick! Everyone knows that Norwegians are a neutral people!" He knew she wouldn't buy it, but at least he tried.
Again, laughter came from Noel's mouth. "You didn't choose for me to carry your books. And you didn't choose for me to help you pick up your books. That was my decision. Now it's your turn to choose." Well, so much for not coming up with an excuse. And heck, this one might actually work.

Karis unfolded her arms and let them drop to her sides. Smiling she rolled her eyes at him and gave one slow nod. "Alright, you win, this time. I say we brave it out at the courtyard". As she said this, a smile beamed onto her face. Realising that he said he was norwegian, she opened her mouth with a shocked expression.
"Really? Wow, that's awesome. Norwegians are neutral? Huh, who knew!" she replied suprised, not knowing what quite else to say about the subject. "Well I could always take my books back and leave you in peace" she joked. She reached for the books to see what he would do.

Noel smiled in victory, but the smile simply faded into a normal one, not wanting to gloat. "Alright! The courtyard it is! Maybe we'll get lucky, and the weather will stay decent." He said, glancing out the window again. "Do you want to grab a sweater or a coat first? It's probably chilly out."
Laughing again, he shrugged. "I'm not quite sure if all of them are, but it's a joke between my father and me." His father was over fifty percent Norwegian, and his mother was fifty percent herself, making Noel approximately fifty percent himself. When visiting his father, Victoria would ask them what they wanted to eat, and they would often respond with a 'I don't know. You can pick.' Thus giving the Neutral Norwegian idea to Kent and Noel.
Coming back into thought as Karis spoke again, he chuckled. "What if I didn't allow you to get them, and keep them myself?" He asked jokingly, and holding the books out of her reach.
(heh. I'm Norwegian, I can dis my own ethnicity.. If that's even an insult.. <_<)

Karis raised her eyebrows and nudged him gently when she began to laugh at his victory. "Don't make a habit of it, Norwegian!" She mocked playfully. Asking if she needed to go and fetch something warm, she shook her head sideways before she replied. "No, I'll be fine. I'll take the chance and risk it" she smiled before glancing out of a passing window once again.
"You can keep my books if you want, and do the homework that goes with them" she bent over laughing. She bet he didn't see that answer coming. (sorry about rubbish post, and yay for Norwegians!! I wish I was Welsh! Lol)

Noel chuckled at her nudge and comment. "Alright, alright." He said, grinning. Yes, it sure did seem like the two had known each other forever, by the way they were acting. But, in reality, they'd only officially met just a bit ago! Thinking of this Noel, somewhat stopped walking for a minute, and smiled. He sure did hope they would become the great friends they seemed to be at this moment. "Are you sure?" He asked, concerned.
Noel's eyes widened, in an attempt to looked shocked, and tried not to laugh as well. "Here you go." He said, setting one of her books on her back, which was now bent over in laughter. Of course, he was still going to carry her books, but he was going to have fun while he was doing so.

Karis couldn't stop laughing and when she was doubled over, she felt a sudden weight on her back. Turning a little to see what it was, she noticed Noel piling on a book. This made her laugh even more and the book slid off onto the floor with a thud.
"Yeah i'm sure" she said inbetween giggles. She felt so comfortable around Noel, it really was like they'd been friends since they first came to Hogwarts, when in reality they'd only just officially started talking a few moments before. Picking up the book that had landed open on the floor, she hugged it close to her chest.
"If I get cold, i'll make a jacket from the pages of these books!" She said, uncrossing her arms from the book hugging and wagging the book around.
