Just another day, or so Ricky thought it was going to be. The sun wasnt really high in the sky, nor was it really that warm. It wasnt a perfect day today like everyone bambled about. Ricky never truly saw a perfect day, something always happened to ruin it. His feet crunched on the somewhat iced grass, clearly "Jack Frost" had ran over the grounds last night, sprinkling little Ice particles over the green surface.
His head was hung slightly, yet he still had that air that seemed to follow him. The one of non-caring and purity. Classes were finished for the day and yet Ricky felt like he had something else he needed to do. He ran his hand through his hair as he walked over the Lawns. People were rushing to and from places all around him as he was swallowed up by the crowds and mass of people, the stench of mudbloods and blood traitors were thick in the air as Ricky wrinkled his nose. Trying to think of something else, he was still peeved about everything from the common room experiance, to that mildly disturbing scene in the Dungeons, he thought back to the time this year he could remember him laughing, not smirking or laughing sarcastically, by the lake just messing around. Appearances were hard to keep sometimes.
Like every other Slytherin, Ricky didnt really have friends, just those he wasnt bothered to be seen with. More aquaintence than friends really, like partners, the word 'friend' was too strong and just not like Ricky. He walked around with a frown on his face, like he had something rather discusting and smelly underneath his nose. Though of course he hadnt, it was just the way he was. He broke off from the crowd and made his way over to the courtyard where there were benches, his robes billowing out behind him in the wind, his arms swinging lazily beside his side. Though because he wasnt looking where he was going, he walked into someone, though of course he wasnt going to blame himself was he? He looked up to see the culprit, and found himself face to face with Toby Moran, the Gryffindor Mudblood.
"Dont you mudbloods watch where you're going or are you lot just blind?" He hissed.

Toby Moran had left the last lesson of the day talking to a rather attractive Hufflepuff, whom he spent the entirety of the lesson's practical flirting with, in his usual shameless (and sometimes not entirely on purpose) way. He had walked her to her group of friends who had decided to hang out just beyond the courtyard outside the castle. After securing a rendez-vous with the girl at the next Hogsmeade weekend, Toby bid them farewell, (actually using those words convinced he sounded charming - though some would call it sounding like a prat).
Toby began the walk back to the castle along the cobbled courtyard, a grin firmly fixed upon his face. Nothing could wipe the smile of success off his face, at least, almost nothing. 'Oy!'
Ricky Daine. The Slytherin had just walked straight into the Gryffindor and Tobe, who was convinced no Slytherin (particularly Ricky Daine) would have done that by accident immediately went in on the attack.
‘Well if it isn’t “the Great Daine”’ Tobe said mockingly, never ceasing to be cracked up by the phrase he once overheard a slytherin girl using in all seriousness. ‘You do realise that’s a type of dog right?’ He added, looking despisingly at the expression of disgust for muggleborns that Ricky always went around with.
'And what you on about, me blind? You bloody walked straight into me!' He had managed to keep himself calm after Ricky's choice of words, something that had taken a long time to learn, meaning the two of them had had their fair share of run ins over the years. His control hadn't stopped his hand tightening round the wand sticking out of his cloak pocket however, as he watched the Slytherins every move.

It seemed the two of them were going to have a stare down. Well this wasnt interesting at all, though in all honesty, Ricky only wanted to get back to the common room, his eyes darting to the castle entrance and fell on a group of Hufflepuff girls, they were all looking thier way, but one looked slightly worried and Ricky figured that must be the mudbloods girlfriend, or at least his toy until he got bored and threw it away, soon to replace it with another.
Ricky hated that saying, as soon as he heard it, he flared up and went straight to the person who said it. If his last name hadnt been Daine, it wouldnt have been so bad, but as Toby pointed out, a great Dane was a breed of dog. And Ricky was no breed of dog. He didnt wander around yelling, 'Rikes,' or 'Scooby-dooby-doo.' At the top of his lungs did he.
"Well I suppose its better than having a last name you could easily mistake for Moron" Ricky snarled back. His own temper rising slightly but managing to keep it under control.
"Well you should watch for people walking then shouldnt you?" Though he looked back over to the Hufflepuff girl with a smirk, "And come on, if you fancy that then you must be blind Moran."
Ricky's eyes moved to Toby's hand where he had hold of his wand, rather tightly as Ricky could swear his knuckles were turning white. Well whiter then they were, which was difficult to believe could ever happen as Moran was like a milk bottle. Daine smirked, crossing his arms over his chest and looking back up to the face of the Gryffindor infront of him.
"You gonna stand there all day like a prat then are you?"
