It was your average blustery October day, within the Hogwarts Grounds. Rhia could tell this much as she looked out upon the grounds from the commonroom window. She had become bored with the little there was to do in the commonroom, it was practically empty and she had already completed all of her work. So had brought it upon herself to take a leisurely stroll around the castle. Rhia ran back upto her dormitory to grab a scarf from her trunk, careful not to wake any of her room mates. Taking the first one she came across to cause less noise, she ran back down to the main room once more. And sporting the Ravenclaw colours, she slipped through the commonroom entrance and out onto winding metal staircase.
Rhia found herself hoping to find something intriguing to place her attentions upon. However this was Hogwarts. Like anything unexpected would take place here! At this thought Rhia laughed aloud, attracting the gaze of a passing Hufflepuff. Smiling as if she had done nothing, she waved at him and swiftly continued on her way. She found herself entering the Courtyard, shivering slightly as a strong gust rustled through her dark brown lockes. Pulling her jacket collar further up and tightening her scarf around her neck she glanced around the courtyard in search of amusement. There were two young students playing gobstones in the centre. “Meh, its something at least.” Rhia thought to herself and she walked to the closest bench and sitting down, began to watch the game unfold.

Karis had been walking around aimlessly with her sketchpad and pencil and drawing anything she thought she could draw. There was a picture of the whomping willow so far, and of the lake and the mountain. Deciding it was getting to cold and windy, she packed up and began to make her way to the castle through the courtyard. Walking into the courtyard, she had her nose in her sketchbook and didn't realise the two students playing gobstones. Walking straight through, she fell over them and disturbed their game. With various angry gestures from them, she became flustered. "Oh, i'm sorry, I didn't mean to erm....Sorry!" She said, with her sketchbook and pencils scattered all over the dirty floor. Sighing, she was fighting the wind and pushed her hair away from her face and huffed. Why am I such a klutz!? she thought to herself. What an idiot!

The Game had took an unexpected twist, a young Ravenclaw was thrashing his opponent with little effort, though of course being full of house pride, Rhia had cheered rather loudly every time he managed to knock a gobstones successfully from the circle. He had just been about to win the game, when Rhia noticed out of the corner of her eye a unaware hufflepuff trundle across the courtyard. She cringed as she realised what was about to happen.
Papers and pencils flew everywhere, some pieces were caught up in the wind others fell straight to the floor with soft thuds. Rhia ran forward, though as she reached speaking distance, she came to a halt, warily asking with a slight wince “Are you alright?” Rhia crept still further forward, catching a couple of pages as she went. Looking on as the girl became flustered and was rambling apologies. Not to the greatest amusement of the other two students. “Ok, ok! Give her a break; it was clearly just an accident. Keep your wigs on.” Rhia stated a little hurriedly, and bent down to help pick up the fallen sheets and pencils. “Silly kids eh? They always place in the most stupid of places!” She added with a small smile so only the Hufflepuff girl could hear her. With this Rhia got to her feet, with papers and writing utensils clasped in one hand, she offered the other to the Hufflepuff girl to help her off the floor. “Pleasant day for it, eh?” Rhia chirped loudly, though had to fight back a loud laugh as she received glares from the two younger students. Whom appeared to be still rather irked about the interruption.
Leading the Hufflepuff away to the bench where she had sat previously. It was unwise to annoy those two any longer, they had much older siblings in the higher years. And Rhia was not as foolish as she always appeared. Sitting down she rearranged her scarf and pulled some hair from her eyes. Then with a small smile we stated in a rather upbeat manner “Hello, i’m Rhia! Pleasure to make your acquaintance.”

Searching frantically on the floor for the rest of her drawings, she noticed some get blown away in the wind. Sighing, she pushed her hair out of her face. hearing a friendly voice, she looked up to see a Ravenclaw girl standing infront of her, and asking if she was alright. Wind blew a little more and Karis managed to grab a stray paper before it disappeared forever. "Erm, yeah...I think so. Thanks" she said, scrambling the papers together and picking up her remaining pencils. With her arms full she stood up. She looked back to the annoyed students and gave a guilty smile. "Sorry....sorry" she murmured before joining the ravenclaw saviour. Sitting down to where the girl lead her, she sorted the papers out quickly and put the pencils all back in their small metal case. The girl introduced herself as Rhia and Karis flipped her hair from her face and smoothed it down. "Thanks Rhia, I'm Karis. I should be renamed Klutz" she joked.

Smiling somewhat sympathetically at Karis, Rhia replied to her put down remark. “Not at all it happens to the best of us, luckily we bounce back! The amount of things I have walked into in my lifetime, geez its not even funny. Stack of brooms was the worst though..” She smiled as the memory came to her, she could safely say she had not caused a kafuffle like that since. “However that is a story for another time!” she chuckled. Another strong gust of wind hit them, and Rhia's dark hair flew about her, so she could no longer see. Barely containing a laugh she pointed at her now invisible face, hidden by hair and declared loudly, placing her hands on her hips. "And today ladies, I am modelling the windswept look."
Looking down at the bench, she noted Karis’ drawing apparatus. Nodding at it she enquired, “So, what have you been drawing today then anything nice? I’m not the best artist in the world, but I can do cartoons and such. Not good though really, doesn’t do them any justice.” Then realising she was rambling, Rhia trailed off looking down at the two lower years playing gobstones once again.
((That was absolutely awful! i do apologise dearie.))

Karis shuffled her papers once more so they were all in a neater pile, although most of them were ruined now by dirt marks plastered all over them. Sighing at her wasted hours drawing them, she looked back up to Rhia and gave a small smile.
“I guess so” she said, following with a slight laugh. Hearing Rhia talk about her incidents of being clumsy, the story about the brooms made her laugh the most. It was then she realised they were both as bad as each other, and Karis couldn’t help but give a big grin at Rhia. A sudden gust of wind hit them hard in the face again and caused Karis’ blonde locks to whiz about her face, causing her to look like a mad professor.
"And today ladies, I am modelling the windswept look."
“Likewise” she laughed, shaking her head to attempt to even out her hair. Flattening her hair once again, she followed Rhia’s gaze over to the kids playing Gobstones again and she asked what she had drawn. Smiling, Karis handed her the drawings which included a rather detailed sketch of the Whomping willow, and a view of the lake and mountains behind it from the view of the lawns.
“Just things around Hogwarts, and i’m sure your cartoons are amazing” she replied. Her mind began to wander off thinking of Noel once again, and she couldn’t help but give a random grin as she thought about what had happened in the courtyard just a few days before.
