The day after it seemed the weather would never tone down its spring quality (meaning mushy snow and tons of wetness) the sun was shining, and it was dry out. Well, perhaps that was an overstatement.. Moreso cloudy and eerily calm, with no winds to speak of just yet. Her favorite kind. Too much sun was bad for the skin, if you caught her drift. She hated it. Seems the afternoon was in her favor, and just in time too, she was going swimming with Ricky. Wasn't much of a planned event, they had been bored, lolling lazily around the common room without much to do. So one of them - couldn't quite remember who - had suggested they pop down to the lake for a little play date, so here she was, waiting for him near the water's edge.
Stretching her lithe kitty-body out before returning to a sitting position, Erys Grace stared out at the lake, which seemed that much bigger when she was in cat form. Being smaller, with heightened senses, she could see everything. Little bugs scittering across the ground, fish splashing merrily near the surface, though still wary of birds of prey and the like. No wonder you often caught felines staring at 'nothing'; they could see things humans couldn't. She was so lucky to experiance this.
The silence, interrupted by the occasional chirping of birds, was a little unnerving to most. Erys didn't mind it usually, except when she was waiting for someone. Which she was. It had brought her thoughts back to Ricky, oddly enough a habit as of late, as she wondered what was taking him so long. I swear, we're just going swimming! If hes primping himself up in the common room.. She thought with an animal-like laugh, dipping a paw in the water and making little circles absent-mindedly. Waiting.

This little adventure had definatly come as spur of the moment ad due to utter boredom. He was lay on his bed in the dormatory for half an hour before he had gone down into the common room to spot Erys sat in her animagus form, clearly as bored as he was he had decided to entertain himself and treat her like a cat by picking her up and stroking her, telling her what a cute kitty she was, all in good jest of course. Though it did earn him a number of scratches, nothing less than what the troublesome Ricky deserved of course.
The two of them had sat staring into the fire, complaining of boredom as nothing had happened since the brawl in the common room, nothing of interest anyway. It had came up about going down to the lake, drama free, just to relax down by it and have a swim. The weather was good enough, sure it wasnt great but it wasnt like Ricky would catch a cold. He then left her too it as classes had begun that morning and the two of them only had double potions in just after the first break of the morning together. They had agreed to meet eachother half an hour after classes let out for the day so Ricky had decided to go preen himself for a little bit.
Looking at the clock in the dorm he realised he was running late, and late was never a good thing to be with Erys. So picking up his robe he flung it over his shoulder, not that he would be needing it really it was more of a Got to have it with me sort of deal. Running his hands through his hair as the lake came into view as did the bengal cat. He had a strange desire to push the feline in, though knew it would not be worth his life. Putting his robe over the feline instead in a playful kinda way, rubbing his hand over it as though fluffing her fur up he gave a laugh.
"Not been waiting long have you?"

The trickling sounds of the water distracted her from the sound of his footsteps, as Ricky finally arrived. She wasn't angry, just bored. All that had vanished, however, when a robe was flung over her and rubbed. Unaware if it was him or not (but it probably was, no one else possessed the guts to do so) and shocked, to put it mildly, Erys flung her jaws open, yowling in surprise and tumbling in to the water. Hissing and spitting as she choked down a gulp of water, she threw herself back on the bank, gasping and spitting out whatever drops remained in her mouth. Squeezing her eyes shut, soon standing there dripping and shivering slightly, the Slytherin opened them, glaring playfully and sarcastically at Ricky, "Not at all." She replied dryly, wringing out the hem of her shirt. Sniffing, she added, "Surprised me, thats all." As he was bound to poke fun at her little show, there. Falling in the water and all.
Crossing her arms in an 'x' over her stomach, Erys peeled off her shirt, revealing the deep green, camoflauge-print bikini top she wore underneath. Then her jeans, the task proving to be more difficult now that she had gotten them wet. Finally getting them off, the Slytherin stood there, shivering once, glad the water was warmer on cooler days. The reason for this was that they retained the warmth from sunnier days. Strange, sure, but it made sense if you new stuff about water and the weather. Turning to push him in the water whether he was changed or not, she threw her arms out, a grin on her face as he - she hoped - tumbled in.
Then if he hadn't tugged her in after him, Erys would tiptoe in, comforted by the slighter warmth than the outside air.

Many would say Ricky was either brave or extreamly stupid to do what he had done to Erys in her cat form. Then again he had the scratches to prove he wasnt either. He had meant to playfully anger her, which was why he flung the robe over her a few seconds before he proceeded his assault. He hadnt meant to startle her, which by her yowl of surprise he was sure he had. As he pulled the robe off, the cat-Erys tumbled into the water, which made Ricky let out a gasp of a laugh. Though when the cat surfaced hissing and spitting, clearly she wasnt expecting Ricky to try something like that, he couldnt contain the laughter as kittycat Erys made her way onto the bank of the lake.
"Yeah I figured I must have done,"
As she began to undress herself, Ricky's cheeks flushed red and he turned his back out of respect for her privacy. After a few minutes, he turned back around to see her clad in a bikini. Okay, so Ricky couldnt help it. He stood there, slack jawed and slightly wide eyed. Typical guy reaction sure, but she was an amazingly beautiful lass, both in anger and out of it. Though after a moment, he had no choice but to stop staring as she advanced on him.
"Now now, Erys." He said backing away as he knew what was coming, "Play nicely"
Though she had pushed him, and since he was teetering on the edge anyway it didnt take much to make him stumble, reflexes came about and he pulled out his arm and grabbed ahold of his Slytherin companion. Ricky went falling into the water with a splash fully clothed. Though he had let go of Erys so whether or not she fell in with him he didnt know. He pushed himself to the surface, spluttering as he ran his hands through his hair, pushing it back out of his face as now it was wet and not very comfy to have in your eyes. Stepping out, he rung the corners of his shirt out, though thinking on it, he would only be getting back in so what was the point. He took off his shirt, which was sticking to his torso now quite tightly, and carefully pulled off his combat pants, careful not to let the material chafer his skin. Once he was down to his swimming shorts, as though tight things that look like Y-Fronts were certainly never something you would catch Ricky in, he jumped back into the lake before a certain someone could force him back in.
"That was uncalled for!" He said, his hand hitting the surface of the water, sending splashes in her direction.

Of course he had to pull her in after him. Catching a glimpse of his open-mouthed stare before she threw her arms out to push him in, Erys arched an eyebrow, unable to help the sly grin that crossed her face. Enjoying the scenery, was he? If only she had a moment to bask in the moment before they tumbled in. Feeling him fall back away from her hands, she started leaning away herself only to have his fingers close around her wrist and jerk her in right after him. Squeezing her mouth shut just before she hit the surface, so she wouldn't start sinking and taking in water, the Slytherin swam deeper while she was under before emerging a ways further than where they fell in. So his splash had no effect except to spray her with teeny drops, the majority unable to reach her.
Oh, uncalled for, was it? "Yeah, well I wasn't expecting to be surprised, either." Laughing a little, Erys grinned, slapping her hand against the water as to splash him back.

"Well, I hadnt expected you to go running in," He stuck his tongue out, "I thought cats didnt like water anyway"
He figured after he saw her emerge that his splash wouldnt affect her. Though it was done in jest anyway so he didnt really mind much. The water was quite warm surprisingly, though of course he preferred it to be warm than cold, his hair was swept back now, clinging to his head rather soddenly. He didnt want to know how he looked as appearance was everything, unless in situations where you cant control it, this this one now. When she hit the water, a few sprays hit him in the face making him wrinkle his nose as the water hit him gently.
"Oh, Is that how we're playing now?"
With that, Ricky dived deep under the surface and swam underneath Erys, gripping hold of her legs as he tried to pull her under, whether it would work or not he didnt know. One good sharp kick would throw him off but where was the fun in that? A little underwater fight never hurt anyone, unless of course they drowned which would not be adviseable.

"Typical stereotype!" Erys replied briskly, but there was a grin on her face. Cranking her arm back to splash him again, the Slytherin then cocked her head to the side, as he wasn't there anymore. Assuming he had dove under, her suspicions were proven correct at the sharp jerk of hands wrapped around her leg. "Oh is that how we're playing now?" Was all she heard before taking a quick breath close to submerging. Opening her eyes under water, finding it didn't sting much. Probably only a little, if she held them under for longer than five minutes. Came with the animal in her; an Erys Grace bonus.
Pressing her lips together, she writhed in his grip, squirming until she slid free only to glide closer. Wrapping her arms around his neck, Erys leaned forward, her lips hovering by his ear as if to whisper sweet nothings in them like some old-school lover. What came out of her mouth weren't words - as she couldn't speak underwater - but bubbles, blown as she gave a heaving exhale of breath. In need of oxygen now, she surfaced only to suck in a gulp before going back down, curling her fingers in to fists if only to 'prepare' for their fighting game.
Swimming back a little, she dug her fingernails in to the sand if only to propell her forward faster, not that much of an improve but still helpful. Grinning, she pushed down on his shoulders, what a bundle of luck that would do, he was bigger than her, trying to make him sink further.

Ricky was clutching hold of Ery's legs as he gave them a sharp tug, though she was writhing so he had to let her go. He had his eyes open so he could she her and had a smirk on his face. He saw her glide closer to him underneath the surface and Ricky automatically went to move back, though her arms clasped around his neck, his arms went around her lower back as though wanting to hold her in place, the smirk still evident on Ricky's face.
He wondered if he wasnt underwater and holding his breath, if this situation had arose on the shore would he be holding his breath as she leant closer. He felt a tickle of the bubbles as they left her mouth and tickled his neck and the side of his face. He let her go so she could get some air, which he himself needed as he broke the surface, gulping in mass amounts of air then submerging himself once more.
Once he was underneath the water a little, he looked around to spot his feline friend though he couldnt see her. A few moment later, almost as if on cue, Ricky felt a pair of hands on his shoulders which he knew belonged to Erys. She pressed on his shoulders making him sink further into the murky depths below, he heard a faint sound as he sunk, like a voice almost singing. Though he couldnt hear what it said and as he rose, the voice went quieter until he was back on level with Erys and he couldnt hear it at all. He assumed he was hearing things, so with a smirk he swam behind Erys and grabbed hold of her from behind. Smirking, he raised them both to the surface to get some well needed air before letting go of her.
"Having fun yet?"

{ Oh my gosh, I hadn't realised you replied. ^^; My apologies! <3 }
Having fun yet? To answer his question Erys parted her lips, purring for a moment, enjoying this. "Aren't you?" No strangers to rile her up, no one to taunt. Just the two of them having a good time. For the first time in months, she felt truly happy here with him. It was refreshing, relaxing. They'd have to do this more often. With that thought in mind, she slowly submerged, this time going even lower than before. The sound that met her was sweet, lulling. Erys heard the same voices he had, but they were stronger, urging her to swim lower. What were they? Merpeople? Whatever they were, their voices were so seductive, so sweet.. The Slytherin found herself wanting to know more, cupping her hands and swimming lower, her lungs threatening to burst.
What the heck was she doing? She needed air! Moaning as a cloud of bubbles burst from her mouth, Erys rapidly pumped her arms, clawing her way to the surface. Flinging her hair back as she hit air, the animagus gulped in a huge breath, breathing heavily, "Immablah.." She tried to say something, but couldn't just yet, finding it too hard to talk. It was a moment before she continued with, "Lets.. Down, go there." He'd get the picture. They'd need some sort of spell to do it though.

[[LOL! Its alright :] dont worry about it n_¬ ]]
"Of course."
It was true with no idiots to annoy them, they just relaxed, and after the past few weeks Daine and Grace had had, surely they deserved some relaxation, though to be honest, Ricky wasnt fool enough to believe it would last. Nothing ever stayed peaceful, he knew this as he lay floating on his back, Erys had dived underneath the water but something came to him. That song he had heard, it sounded sweet in a sense. Like it was calling to him but Ricky tried not to think on it. Even if he wanted to find out, he couldnt.
Ricky found himself splashing to Erys's side when she burst through the surface of the water, a hand on her shoulder, though his brow was furrowed as he wondered what had made him suddenly swim to her side, though this thought was cut off when she said something he didnt quite catch, that was due to her lack of oxygen so he waited until she caught her breath and spoke again, her words seemed to be mixed up but he understood what she meant easily.
"Down there?" He questioned, and realised she must have heard it too, "The song! You heard it too, didnt you?"
But there was a problem, how were they going to get down there? They could use the bubblehead charm, but that only lasted for an hour, maybe an hour and half. That wouldnt be enough time, nowhere near enough and without words they couldnt do it again when they were down there. So much for relaxation. The human transfiguration didnt last long either.
"How?"

" .. must have heard it too."Was the last thing she heard before she nodded her head up and down, still a little out of breath but managing to keep up with the conversation. "It was beautiful, makes me want to figure out whos singing it." Can we say gorgeous mer-boys? Hello! Hah, kidding. There was something down there though, or someone, and she wanted to figure it out. As the cliche followed.. Curiosity killed the cat.
Cocking her head to the side, Erys thought it over, wondering if a summoning charm could work for some sort of material that would allow them to breathe underwater. "Gollyleaf.. Gillyshrub.. Gilly, gilly.." She muttered, frustrated that she couldn't remember the name of the plant they had learned about in Herbology. In a moment or two the word came to her, and her face lit up for a second, "Gillyweed! We can summon some gillyweed." Might take a few minutes to get there, but it was worth a try. Diving under the surface to swim smoothly back to shore, the Slytherin pulled herself on to the bank, keeping her balance as she walked - dripping - over to her clothes. Tugging her wand out of her sleeve, she pointed it in the direction of the castle, murmuring, "Accio Gillyweed." Would there even be enough? Well, they could share, she supposed. Putting it back with her stuff, Erys turned around, scanning the area around them, waiting for the green, gooish slime to come flinging at her.
Lucky she was looking too, or else she would have been hit in the cheek with a big glob of the stuff. Whipping her hand out, Erys caught it mid-soar, clutching it triumphantly while clearly satisfied the spell worked. How it got out of the storage closet, she didn't know. Hopefully Vance was still MIA, or else they'd have some explaining to do. "Got it!" She stated excitedly, beckoning him towards the shore so she could split it in half and hand him some. Feeling nausea roll through her stomach, the animagus stared down at the sickly green sludge, apparently waiting for him to go first. Chow down.
