Gray had the basket over his right arm and his jacket over his left as the two of them hurried over the lawns and across te courtyard to reach the Lake. If you would have asked him earlier that day what he thought he would be doing tonight, having a midnight munch fest by the lake was actually nowhere on that list of his. Though saying that, neither was being bitten by the squid.
They got to the lake, he could hear the sounds of the ripples moving in the water as she lapped on the shallow bank of the lake. It was the first time he had been here at night and he knew it was Liv's too so they were both doing something new. Besides, if you couldnt have a munch fest down by the lake on a full moon with a new friend, who could you have one with.
He placed the basket down on the floor and pulled out the blanket sheet, placing it down he put the basket on it and sat down himself. Patting the spot beside him as he did. The night air was rather cool, and the smell of it filled his nostrils, but Gray liked the night air smell, and things like that. He could be classed as strange because of it.
"What did you think you'd be doing tonight then?"
He asked, the first question in his mind as he watched the silvery moonlight reflect on the lake. They were breaking probably a hundred school rules by being here, but Gray lived for breaking rules so it didnt matter much to him.

The air was cool as she stepped outside, a gust of wind greeting her. A small shiver ran down her spine, but none the less she inhaled a large amount of the night air. A smile etched across her face, but after a moment she followed after Gray, not wanting to get left behind.
The waves lapped gently against the shore, creating a music all of its own. The moon reflected off the water as well, making the lake glow eerily. Yet, somehow, it still retained its beauty. She plopped down next to Gray and leaned back on her hands. Her head tipped back and her eyes shut, letting the breeze wash over her face.
"To be honest, I'm not very sure." Her eyes opened again and she glanced over to Gray. "I never usually have plans at this time at night, I just go with the flow." She shrugged lightly.
Liv's stomach gave a rather unlady-like growl, causing her cheeks to flush red. She quickly wrapped her arms around her stomach to quiet it. Oh dear, how embarrasing.

The wind rustled the leaves of the tree Gray and Liv were sat under gently. For some reason, Gray felt more at ease here than he thought he would, especially in the company of a girl he had not really spoken to properly before tonight. Usually, Gray would sit beside the lake alone or with Leo. This whole experiance was new to him, and yet not as unpleasant as he thought it would be.
"Well this beats sitting in the common room with a load of books."
He looked to Liv as he heard her stomach rumble, something he didnt expect to come from her. With a smile he leant over the basket and pulled out a piece of the fudge cake and handed it to her on one of those party plates. You know the ones, rather bendy and plasticy to the touch. After he handed it to her, he leant back on his arms and glanced upto the moon. Sure they werent far from the forest and the dangers that it held, but yet he felt safe.
"So..."

The forest was close, closer than it had ever been before. And now it seemed even more mysterious, here in the dark of the night. Well, not exactly dark, because the moon still shone overheard, but it was still creepy none the less. But, even with all these things, Liv found herself not frightened by it. She wasn't foolish enough to believe that nothing could actually happen to her, but there was a claming sense about being out here at night. Perhaps it was the smell of the air, or the glow of the moon.
Olivia took the plate greatfully and grinned sheepishly. Silently, she picked at the cake, every so often popping small pieces into her mouth. They were both quiet for a time, just listening as the breeze caused the water to lap at the shore.
"So.."
Liv glanced up from her plate as Gray spoke. Obviously he wanted to continue some type of conversation. Unfortunately for her, this wasn't her area of expertise. So, she decided to ask the first question that came to mind.
"Do you miss your family at all?"
