January was here, and it was rather depressing to think that Christmas was actually done and over with. The students who had left for the break were finally back, and suddenly the halls were louder and the dorms filled again. Sigh, it was so nice to have everything all to yourself, it was just weird when a mass of kids suddenly returned from breaks.
There was a slight bite to the air as Felicity made her way outside. Her cheeks were flushed from the cold, and her hands were shoved into her pockets. The pale beauty was clad in her black jacket and the traditional Ravenclaw scarf, nothing was very eccentric in her outfit today.
The snow crunched lightly beneath her feet as she walked down the lawns. Not many students were out today, on the case of the cold. But, Fay wasn't really affected by it. She had always been used to cold weather anyway, she didn't really worry much about it. She wasn't like those girls who fretted over there looks because the wind would mess it up, or the cold made them look pale. Veela magic my friends.
There was one small patch of grass on the lawns, and Felicity decided to sit down there. She stretched her legs out in front of her and leaned back on her hands, while her head tilted back so she could gaze up at the sky. The wind tugged at her hair, pulling it away from her face. The Claw looked like something out of a movie, the scene seemed too perfect. Was it really so easy for her to look so carefree?

Nikole stepped onto the lawns for the first time since she had returned from Christmas break. She struggled to keep her hair out of her face as the wind pulled it in every direction. The one thing Nikole had always hated about her hair is how easily the slightest breeze could turn it into a tangled mess of knots.
As she strolled along the lawns, Nikole noticed a girl laying on the cold hard ground. Shaking her head at the thought of laying on the ground, Nikole headed over, curious about who it was. Realizing that it was someone she knew, Nikole sighed a little. Felicity was such a strange person at times, although today she had a very typical appearance, nothing strange, which was an improvement.
Looking down at Felicity, Nikole smiled, still constantly having to move her hair out of her face because of the wind. "Hello, Felicity," she said in her usual polite tone. "Enjoying yourself?" she asked curiously, wondering how anyone could enjoy resting on the ground.

Post by Aidan and Derryl Parkhurst on May 2, 2008 1:41:45 GMT
Since before breakfast even, the twins had been stalking around the castle, talking in hushed voices to each other. If you asked them what they needed to whisper so softly about Aidan would make some wise crack about talking about you and Derryl would conclude by saying that it was rude to let people know they were being talked about. Of course this is all smoke and mirrors and they aren't as good at it as they think but they do try.
So when they left the castle to go to the lawns, they expected the expanse to be deserted. It wasn't. There were a couple of fourth years Derryl recognised and some ickle firsties were rolling down a hill. There seemed to be some point to it but neither twin could puzzle out how the game worked. 'Can't imagine sane people wanting to be out in this,' Aidan said as he buried his hands in his pockets. 'That would be presuming there are any sane people 'round, Aid,' Derryl pointed out. Aidan laughed loudly, throwing his head back, his blond hair flying freely. Their hair had grown quite long and Aidan liked it. Derryl thought it was more work but actually getting it cut seemed like too much work for now.
Just then Derryl spotted her, the red hair, the radiant smile. Aidan too spotted the girls, though his frame of vision was slightly broader. Aidan elbowed Derryl in the ribs and smiled at him suggestively.
'Cumon,' Aidan pushed. 'No!' 'Yes!'
And not wanting any more argument Aidan grabbed Derryl by the arm and began to pull him along towards the two girls.
'Well, well, well,' Aidan chuckled, releasing his brother's arm. 'It must be your lucky day ladies. You've got not just one but two of me at your disposal!' Aidan flung his arm around Nikole's shoulders and gave her a one armed hug. 'Don't you feel lucky?'
Meanwhile, Derryl just stood to the side, looking awkward. He wasn't not good with girls it was just this particular one that made him feel shy.

There was a sound of footsteps behind her, and suddenly Nikole's face came into her view. "Quite. Do you want to join me?" She was about to pat the spot to her right..but that was full of snow. So instead she shifted and patted the one to the left, which also had a patch of grass.
Felicity tilted her head back again and went back to staring at the clouds. Rabbit..Ship...Old boot? She blinked up at the clouds for a moment, before a grin flashed across her face. Some high power must find it amusing to form the clouds in such a way. Either that or a student was messing with her.
More footsteps approached, and someone pretty much assaulted Nikole. Blinking, Felicity turned around and stood back up, lightly brushing off her clothes. "I can't say that was the exact word I was looking for." She muttered while straightening her coat.
The two were twins, now that was obvious. But, she couldn't quite place their names. She was racking her memory at the moment, trying to bring about some lost memory of the twins' names.

Gemma had been wandering around for the past three days. The snow on the lawns seemed so eerie. She hated it. It was pale and white, just like her. Put in this landscape, her petite frame could barley be seen. It took alot out of her to try and bring a little could to her frame, and yet, she was still unnoticed by the passing students. She had thought about venturing inside the castle for a bit, but something made her stay out in the cold. Not that she could feel the cold, but Gemma had only been dead a little more than a hundred years, all her memory of cold and hot hadn't vanished. The Grey Lady said she would have about another hundred year until all feelings and sense were forgotten.
Gemma wandered, making circles in the snow, looking back every once and a while to see that she wasn't making any tracks in the deep white snow. She sighed.
Gemma was a strange ghost. She wasn't always sad or mad, she was usually a very happy ghost. The strange thing was that she only usually remembered she was dead when she was alone. On the occasion that she strikes up a conversation with live humans, she forgets about her death, and goes on as though she was living. Quite sad really, when she follows them to classes and the Professors throw her out.
Gemma was thinking about trying and making a snow angel for the third time that day, when she heard voices. She ventured closer to them and peering over a bush, she saw two girls and a boy. No, unless Gemma was seeing double, there was two boys. She giggled. The boys were very cute. In that instant, Gemma forgot that she had been dead over one hundred years, and strolled up to the group.
"Hello." She said, a smile on her transparent face. Happy to be in the company of others, Gemma's body gained slight colors, very pale, but they made it easier to see her in the snow. "What are you doing?" she said innocently in her serene voice that only a ghost could have.
