Despite his macho attitude and exterior, Dimitri Currier was truly a child inside. Who wouldn't be if you were the middle child of seven kids? Someone has to be the kid in the family, and Dimitri decided it was his duty to be that child. Of course, his older siblings were often annoyed by this, but hey, live life how you want it!
Outside on this December day, Dimitri was off in his own little world, in the middle of the lawns, piling snow chunks upon snow chunks. He was lost in thought, and determination. He was going to make the best snow fort of all time. No magic. That's how he grew up, and that's how he was going to make this fort. By hand. He had been out there most of the morning, getting strange stares, and occasional giggles. He could careless, he was going to make his snow fort with no distractions.
The walls of his fort were about two foot tall, but he wanted them taller. Pulling off his coat, despite the cold, and threw it on the outside of his snow fort. He now stood in the middle of his Fortress of Doom, in pants, and a long sleeved shirt. His shoes and socks were soaked, and his pants were wet up to his knees. Dimitri was sweating, from making such a fort.
Finishing up all the walls, making them a whomping three and a half feet tall, he sat in the middle, and began fixing the wall opposite of the Castle. His was back turned away from the school, and bent over, as he built up more snow on the wall.

There was white everywhere. Even as flakes began to fall again Katya was outside, taking a walk; her ice blue eyes an intense contrast from the snow on the ground. She always had to be careful when travelling alone. If she hurt herself or got knocked out, she couldn't call for help. Especially outside with the snow, and how her light blonde hair and pale skin nearly camoflauged completely with the backdrop. Despite the warnings from the headmaster and the few friends she had, the 'Claw was outside, enjoying the way her breath billowed out in cool, white clouds.
Soon she was running.
Squinting, trying to make out where the snow stopped and the snow banks began, Katya suddenly stumbled - her foot had run in to something thick and solid. Body following suit, the fifth year fell against a wall of snow, toppling a great deal of it as the snow crumbled beneath her. She wasn't a fatty, clearly, but the speed of her running and the collision was pretty destructive when combined. Crying out silently, Kitty found herself sprawled out over the fallen wall, staring around wildly as if asking herself what the heck happened. Realising then she had fallen, she rubbed snow from her face, glancing around to see that someone had built this thing on purpose. And that somebody was standing over by another wall such as the one she broke, probably about to yell at her for wrecking their snow fort. Whoops. Opening her mouth slightly, waiting for them to notice her (which wouldn't take long, the thud, collision and collapse were pretty loud) before mouthing the word, ' Sorry! ' to him.
He was.. A Gryffindor, Katya vaguely recalled. Apparently he was quite the flirt. Ah, well. She had just broken his snow fort, so she'd get a chance to see first-hand what his temper was like.

Only a few more pattings, and his snow fortress would be done. His hands were numb, and there was no use of gloves by now, because he couldn't feel his hands. A look of determination was fixed on his face, and just as he was about to finish, he heard a thud, and chunks of snow hit him. Narrowing his eyes, and he wheeled around, to snap at whoever had just ruined his hours of work. Most likely his fellow Housemates.
"Who the hell do you think-" When he realized it was just a girl, who was ridding the snow from her face, he stopped. She mouthed something, but he didn't catch it, as he sat there gaping like a fool. A common look of Dimitri Maxwell Currier when he's face to face with a female specimen. He recognized her somehow, classes perhaps? Whipping his forehead off with the back of his numb hand, he gave the good-old Dimitri grin.
"Sorry, thought you did that on purpose." He said, standing up and putting out a hand to help her up. "You did do that on accident, right?" There he went, being typical Dimitri. Flirting, yet at the same time, getting down to the point.

"Who the hell do you think-" Kitty squeezed her eyes shut, waited for it. But it never came. Instead, she popped one eye open to see him gaping at her. Was this a common occurance at this school? If you were female and even the slightest bit good looking, chances were there would be an army of guys staring at you and gawking? Whatever kind of disease this was, she didn't mind its spread. In fact, it wasn't that bad at all. A boost, if you could call it that. He probably would have yelled more profanities at her if she was of the male species, anyhow, so it was a good thing.
Clasping her hand within his as he helped her up, Katya slapped snow from her jeans, scrunching up her face for a moment at the chill that was soon to strike them. Soaked pants? Hello! As to his question, she smiled dryly, mouthing, ' Oh yes, because knocking over guys' snow forts at alarming speeds is my idea of a good time. ' Later, she added, ' Sorry.. I'm Kitty, I'll help you rebuild it. ' Then if he didn't understand that, she'd get to work on the shattered wall anyway, so he'd get the hint eventually. She couldn't very well leave him there, after breaking it, right? That wasn't nice at all.

Was he going deaf or was the wind blowing to hard? For some reason, Dimitri couldn't hear this girl speaking, but he could read her lips, fortunately. He knew one of these days it would come in handy; and it had in the past when he couldn't hear his siblings and parents talking. Chuckling lightly, he grinned. "Whatever floats your boat."
Shoving his now numb hands in his pockets, he smiled. "Kitty, eh? Like a cat?" Of course, he was just being cocky Dimitri. Not thinking before he spoke. It was a bad trait that he had never noticed, though others had. "I'm Dimitri." He replied, a proud grin on his face. When she began fixing the fort of his walls, he immediately jumped at her side. "Are you sure? I mean, it was idiotic for me to have placed it in such an area in the first place." There he went, going from full of himself, to charming. Split personality indeed.
(sorry, couldn't think!)
