It was this time of year that Max loved, the snow made him remember the fun times in Durmstrang and the fact they would snowboard down the mountain side. He had a stack of work to do, including the differences between an Animagi and a Werewolf. Of course it was common knowledge these days that Max did not like werewolves, though he had a perfectly good reason not to. Even so, it was snowing and the ground was at least five inches thick of it, at least.
Max acted like a little kid during this time of year, throwing snowballs at anything that moved, building snowmen to charm them or kick them down and making snow angels. Basically Max was a typical five year old plus twelve years. He pushed open the great hall doors, his jacket was white so it blended in with the snow. Though his scarf was pulled right up, even over his nose. His hair was flailing in the wind though Max didnt care much.
The courtyard was deserted and Max found a silly grin beneath his scarf as he threw himself down and made a snow angel. He had this sudden urge to write Laney's name next to it. Though thought best not to.
((Sorry it sux))

A small white hand wrapped the long silver and blue scarf around her neck. Slowly slipping on her boots, Aleesha quickly looked out the window in her dormitory. Oh how she hated the snow. Not only because it was cold and uncomfortable but most plants can’t live through winter making plant study a little difficult. And not to mention her father now had to be stuck examining plants in a green house other than out in the forests. But he didn’t seem to mind it, but Aleesha had her doubts. One good thing about her father staying home more often though was that he had more time to write letters. He was always telling her that you can enjoy nature even when it’s covered in snow so she decided to do just that.
With her father’s letter in her coat pocket, Aleesha headed down the stairs and towards the front door, ready to face the harsh weather. She pushed open the door and walked out onto the blanket of white snow, her feet sinking a little bit as she continued on. It was beautiful she had to admit that but suddenly a cold breeze hit her face, “C'est tres froid , “ she yelled in French forgetting that there might be other’s around. Her father always yelled in French so naturally it was something she just kind of picked up. Aleesha looked around to see who might have heard her sudden outburst but there seemed to not really be anyone around. She soon noticed though, a boy lying on the ground making a snow angel. She couldn’t tell who it was but he seemed older than her, probably someone she’d never met, though Aleesha did find it somewhat comical that a boy of his age was out here making snow angels. But whatever, Aleesha was never one to judge someone without meeting them first.
[[mines not that great either ]]

The Gryffindor was in his element! There was snow on the ground, not to mention more falling from the sky. His life had managed to sort itself out in his absence and he even found Laney had waited for him, which he thought she wouldnt do and wouldnt have blamed her if she wanted nothing to do with him upon his return, though this wasnt the case as he found out just a few days ago. Though still... Snow! Max never grew tired of snow, he loved it. Unless it turned to icky brown mush, then he didnt love it so much.
He heard a yell. In french too. Bringing back memories of his mother from years ago. His mother was french, though you would have thought because of this, Max would be fluent in french, truthfully. He kinda sucked at it. Standing up from his snow angel he looked at the girl and decided to try his luck at French, so he hadnt spoke it in a good few years. Where was the harm in trying?
"Il n'est pas mauvais que"
He put a hand to the back of his neck. Not bad. Maybe he should take up learning it again. It certainly made him smile when he could speak a language others couldnt. Though it made him think which he didnt think he would ever have to do again, at least not for a long time. He had a smile on his face as he wiped some hair out of his eyes.

Aleesha smiled when the boy responded, in French of all things. Most people looked at her like she was crazy when she had her sudden outburst of French. But, some people are just more cultured than others. Aleesha was lucky to have a father who taught her the language of romance at such a young age. Being 15 now, she was pretty much fluent in French.
“Well I guess I’m not as used to cold as you,” Aleesha said with a smile. She bent down and touched the snow, the cold going right through her thin gloves. The cold sensation sent shivers through her whole body. ‘This boy must be crazy if he doesn’t think this is cold’, she thought to herself. “So you speak French to? I haven’t meet to many people that actually understand it enough to know what I’m saying. Aleesha Lovegood,” she said smiling, reaching her hand out to greet the boy.

"No, I guess you're not"
Max smiled at the girl and watched her bend down and touch the snow. He wouldnt say it wasnt cold, but it certainly wasnt the coldest climate he had been in. It snowed pretty much all year up in the mountains of Durmstrang, though in winter, that was when you got it bad up there, and spending five years in Durmstrang you get used to cold weather, it was the warm ones Max had trouble getting used to.
"Yeah, I speak it a little" Max admitted, "My mother was french so I kinda had to learn to understand half the things she yelled at me. Though I still suck." He gave a laugh and a small nod, "Maxwell Hennerdale, though Max or Maxi is fine"
He took the girls hand and gave it a small shake before looking down at his now destroyed snow angel. "Oh," He stammered, footprints covered it and it looked more like a squiggle now than what it was supposed to be. So finding a new and untouched area, Max threw himself down once more and made another one. Standing up and away from it he smiled at it.
"You should try it. Make your own snow angel"

“My father was born in France, his English isn’t tooo great but it’s defiantly not as bad as it used to be.” Aleesha giggled a little bit. Sometimes people had a hard time understanding him with his thick French accent, it was funny to watch their confused expressions.
Aleesha looked down at Max’s now ruined snow angle. It was cute how he how he seemed upset by its new shape. But he quickly went on to make a new one.
"You should try it. Make your own snow angel"
Aleesha hesitated for a moment. She wasn’t one to just lie down on the cold snow and waves her arms and legs back and forth like a lunatic. She hadn’t made a snow angle in so long, probably not since her first year at Hogwarts. But then again, it seemed like fun and Aleesha was always a person for fun. Deciding there was nothing she could do about the cold, Aleesha feels flat on her back into the cold snow and began moving her arms and legs in a back and forth motion for a minute. The cold snow sent icy shivers through her whole body but she ignored the feeling. Aleesha quickly stood up from the cold ground, careful not to step onto her creation and just looked at it with a smile. “That was fun,” she said with a laugh. “Thanks!!”

"Well at least he's learning"
Max smiled at Aleesha, sometimes it was difficult for people to understand general people. But after living in England, his mother had accustomed herself pretty quickly and managed to lose a bit of her stronger French accent. Though, he was sure if she was still alive, she would still sound French as her heritage was something she was exceptionally proud of. Which of course Max didnt blame her for, his Grandparents on his mothers side were also proud of who they were, and at first they weren't happy with Illyra marrying Nicholas, but they got used to it eventually and were overjoyed when Max arrived as the newest addition to their family. On that note, he had to write to them to thank them for letting him stay there for the month of school he missed. Though that could wait until later he was sure.
He looked around to see where Aleesha was, and she was lay on her back making a snow angel, at first he was a little surprised by this and realised he must have not been paying attention due to his thoughts. He just hoped he didnt have one of them gormless looks on his face he often got when thinking in depth about something, something Laney loved pointing out about him, something others loved taking the mick out of him for. Especially Mark. Or did, before Mark did his own version of the Famous Vanishing Act.
"Uh... Your welcome?"
Max ran a hand through his hair and looked around. They were pretty much alone so the lawns were basically thiers. With that in mind, and a slight smug look, Max rolled up a ball of snow, slowly adding more and more until he had a base for the snowman. Then he made the body area, shortly followed by the head, however with no decor it looked simply like three balls stuck on top of each other, sort of smaller each time too.
"So, how should we decorate the snowman?"

Aleesha looked at the potential snowman and thought for a moment. She thought of the regular accessories for a snowman, a hat, eyes, nose, stick arms, scarf… she quickly stopped at that though, a scarf. Aleesha unwrapped her blue and silver scarf from around her neck and ran up to the snowman putting the scarf around the snowman’s neck. “That’s a little better,” she said with a smile. “But it still needs more.”
There had to be other things lying around here they could use. But the only question was what? Aleesha looked around at the surroundings. There were trees, bushes, and some benches. Not really too much. “We could take some braches off of a tree for the arms,” they obviously weren’t going to find too many lying on the ground seeing as everything was covered in snow.

{ Mind if I join in? :3 }
Now it was on days like these, where Erys put her guerilla tactics to good use. If there was snow outside, there was going to be a battle of epic proportions. Rounding up a posse of Slytherin's, she marched outside, managing to remain unnoticed as her army set up their home base: a big snow fort. They had sprayed water on the outside edges so the walls were strong and iced, sure not to fall when encountered with enemy opposition. With the light of battle in her eyes, and a fun attitude in check, she set everyone up, having a team manning the walls while a few people were in charge of making snowballs. And during all this, they kept quiet, all on the down-low in case anyone heard. Besides, there were snow banks everywhere, it was hard to see them since they had started behind a big one.
So, scoping out their first victims, Erys spotted Maxi and Aleesha a ways off (within firing distance!) building snowmen. "Get ready men." She whispered, a pile of snowballs at her feet. Picking one up, she screamed, "BANZAIIIII!" And then twenty snowballs were flung, soaring through the air at the pair. All in good fun, of course. She was in a really good mood today. Laughing merrily, and not menacingly, the Slytherin scooped up another snowball, lobbing it at them, waiting for them to notice the cascade of falling snow and duck for cover. "Keep making those snowballs." She instructed the girls bent down near one of the walls, as they hurriedly packed snow in and rounded it off to make the perfect sphere. "Everyone stock up! This is war, people!" Fun fun!

[ invasion, run for your life! ohyeah, this is crappy -hides it- ]
As Fay was taking a week off to go on vacation with her mother, or as she liked to put it go protect her from the men, Bradyn was stuck with a small selection of people to Grace with his presence. Somehow, he ended up hanging around the Slytherins and Erys. It's odd that he took a liking to her after he got his arse whipped by her, but sometimes that's just how things go.
Leaning his back against their makeshift snowfort and the only one with the blue and bronze Claw scarf on, he actually felt at home with his cynical sarcasm. Especially considering Erys was excited and military about the whole thing. It was turning out to be an amusing day.
'Get ready, men!'
Rolling his eyes at this he put his hand to his forehead in a mock salute and smirked at her. "Aye, aye, Captain." But then, spotting the couple making a little snowman he picked up one of his snowballs and hurled it towards the taller one's back without actually realizing who it was yet.
Aiming a few more towards the girl and the snowman itself he couldn't help but laugh at Erys. At least she was having fun and it was unusual to see her so happy and excited. Bray was someone creeped out by it but he just laughed it off. "Soon to be war, you mean? Considering we're just pummeling them at the moment." He said in correction just to annoy her. After all, he was out of her arm's reach and she couldn't smack him.

Max took off his own scarf and added it to the Snowman, making it now a cross between a Gryffindor and a Ravenclaw. A Gryffenclaw. They had both done things to it so it was a joint effort so to speak, so therefor it should show that a Gryffindor and a Ravenclaw made it. Though it did look a little bare, it had no eyes, no arms no buttons. Then Aleesha made the suggestion of buttons.
"Yeah we could."
Max turned around, only to have a snowball hit im in the head. He stood there a little shocked at first. He wiped the snow off his face, his teeth now chattering as he looked for the culprits. Seeing them clearly, Erys and Bray. Seemed Erys had dropped her Slytherin side for the festive season which was fine by him, the lot of them could have a bit of fun during the christmas holidays.
"Reed! Grace!" Max yelled, "You want a war? We'll give you a war!"
Though he was yelling you could hear the amusement within his voice. He hid behind the snowman, the scarves now acting as a kind of flag. With a smirk he rolled a snowball up of his own and launched it to where the enemy opposition were. Looking upto Aleesha, he smiled.
"You joining in?"

Aleesha watched Max as he to put his scarf around the snowman's neck. Now they had a snowman with two scarves and that was it. It still needed more. Just as the two were about to go get some branches Aleesha spotted a snowball fly right past her and hit Max. She looked over toward the direction from which the snow came and saw a bunch of slytherin girls duck behind the snow, and Bradyn Reed. Aleesha loud out a giggle but suddenly a snowball hit her side and she looked back over toward the the slytherins and Brayden. "Of course I'm in," she said smiling at Max.
The snow was cold and wet against Aleesha's lightly gloved hands but she didn't care right now. She would most defiantly complain about it a little later though. Aleesha picked out a handful of snow and formed it into a ball. It was a little lumpy but that didn't matter. She chucked the snow toward the other and quickly ran for protection behind the snowman and began throwing more. Aleesha laughed as the snowballs flew across the lawns, she hadn't had this much fun in the snow in a while.

Sticking her tongue out at Bray, whom unfortunately was just out of arms reach for her to hit, Erys turned her attention back to the pair, who were now ducking for cover behind the men made of snow. "Cowards!" Her voice rang out loudly, playful teasing. She was in a really good mood today. "We have a whole troup, you have two people and a bunch of inanimated snow people. I think we know who the victor is." Erys shouted to them, grinning madly as she cranked her arm back and whipped another snowball towards them.
"Slytherclaws vs. Gryffinclaws!" She then yelled afterwards, alerting anyone nearby that it was a full out battle and either join in to help, get caught in the cross fire, or get out of their way. If only Angel or Ricky were here, they'd enjoy this pummeling of the Gryffindork and 'Claw kind. Of course she was outfitted with the proper attire, so wet hands were no problem. You had to have the right snow proof gloves, and soon enough if they weren't wearing any, she and Bray would definitely outlast them. Take that!

Bradyn laughed as Erys mocked his little gesture and was tempted to throw the ball in his hand at her. But, as she would surely point out, that would be treason and she'd only get him back with her own firepower. Instead, he just pulled back his arm and whipped another one towards them only to be nailed in the shoulder. Damn, must've been Max that time since it wasn't a whimpy girl's throw.
"Oh, you're so on, Hennerdale!" He shouted, also getting into the fun. Holiday cheer actually penetrated his thick skull while being Slytherin for a day, that's something Fay would surely mock him for later.
Scooping up another handful of snow, he packed it tightly into a ball with his black leather gloves and an idea, a rather sadistic Slytherin one, popped into his head. Bray smirked and glanced over to Erys, continueing to pack the snow much more than necessary. "You know, Grace, if you're going to do this militarily, we should have a firing command. And send them at the same time." Shifting a little after he was starting to lose feeling in one of his legs he laughed. "They wouldn't know what hit them." Well, technically, they'd know it was snow but you can't expect a cliché to always be right.

[[ Aleesha is not a wimpy girl thank you! ]]
"That girl is right," Aleesha said looking up toward Max. "They out number us by a lot. If we don't think of something quick were gonna be buried in snowballs." She thought for a moment. The only way they'd be able to win this is if more people came. Aleesha didn't have her wand so there was no way of charming the snow to throw itself. Although she wouldn't have any idea how to make it do that anyway.
Hoping that somebody might show up to even out the odds a little bit so this game would be more evenly matched and fun Aleesha picked up some more snow and made another ball, throwing it toward one of the random slytherin girls. She didn't care who it hit, as long as it hit somebody. Aleesha shook her hand quickly, the snow was real cold, and she didn't know how much longer she'd be able to last with these thin gloves.
