It's official, he was a weak man. After about two days straight of hounding for adventure from Fay, he finally broke down and let her make plans. Where did she want to go? The freaking forbidden forest of course, christ, like she needs another injury from that place. But, because he was weak, it was her pick and she decided to bring Ellie with. Oh god no, if he gets out of there without having a heart attack it will be a miracle.
The meeting time was 9:30 where it would be dark and the crescent moon would be as bright as it was going to get. At least it wasn't a full, but that didn't make a difference because in the forest the werewolves were always werewolves. Yes, tonight was going to be a bad night since Felicity Locke attracted danger the same way she attracted men. It was terrible and incurable.
Bray decided to go a little early since Fay said to leave without him while she got ready. Maybe getting ready included packing an adventure pack with a portable hospital inside? That would be nice. Sitting against the cold stone of the caretaker's house with his legs stretched, he sat quietly hoping they were sleeping in there. But it didn't really matter to him, since in a flash he could go from being Bradyn Reed to a stray cat.

Ellie had a hard time getting out of Hufflepuff tower. Professor Hubbles had decided to do a house check up, looking at all the rooms, and making sure everything was in order. Ellie had finally gotten out as she started yelling at the fourth year boys for a ghastly hole in their wall. Ellie crept out of the castle and down to the forest. Fay had begged her to come, and only in hearing that Bray would also be joining them did she agree to come.
Her jeans and her light purple sweatshirt were probably not enough to keep her warm, but she had run out of the common room as an escape. It was better than nothing.
Finally reaching the looming forest, she started to walk down to the place they would meet. The hut was dark in the distance, and Ellie silently walked over to it. She saw a figure leaning up against the stone, and she held her breath hoping it wasn't Dax, the caretaker.
Seeing it was Bray, Ellie exhaled, a puff of air coming out of her mouth, fogging instantly. She walked over to him, her hair bouncing on her shoulders. "Boo." She said, unenthusiastically seeing as though she was in clear sight. She didn't know what to do, sure he was her boyfriend, but did she kiss him, hug him? help?

Bray gave in too easily, Fay needed to tough the kid up. But, then again, it tended to work to her advantage most times. Like now for instance! It had been so long since she had taken an 'adventure' and she was tired of being cooped up in the school. Solution? Forbidden Forest trriipp! And, of course, Ellie had to come. What would an adventure be without the cute couple?
Felicity had told Bray to get there earlier than he should. Then, knowing Ellie, she would be next. Conclusion? Fay could get them to spend a little alone time together before they set off. Was she a great friend or what? That, and the fact that she found Bray and El adoreably cute and did positively anything to stick them together.
Well, time to go! Fay had chosen to go simple today, with a dark blue tank and a black jacket thrown over that. And, of course, dark jeans. She pulled her hair up, out of her face, and grinned as it bounced when she walked. Time to go meet the couple.
Felicity strode across the lawns, making sure she was within the shadows of the school. Finally, she saw Bray's feet poking out from behind the caretaker's little shack. Scott, as far as she knew, had left school so she didn't have to worry about him randomly popping out of the shack.
Fay leaned one hand on her hip and grinned down at Ellie and Bray. "Ready to go loves?"

There were times he wondered if Fay liked to do things that annoyed him on purpose. She was quite the sadistic little child and tonight would definitely be an example of that. While she got to smile and giggle and squeal about him and El being so cute, he was going to have heart palpitations at the thought of some psychotic centaur leaping from a tree and grabbing those two psychos. Yes, that's exactly what was going to happy, only because Fay was a bad luck charm.
At the sound of footsteps, he glanced up quickly in case the dumb patrol just happened to be out tonight to bust him, but, unsurprisingly, it was only Ellie. Smiling at her anti-climatic greeting, it was obvious she was about as enthused as he was. "Oh lord, that was scary." He said just as sarcastically and continued sitting on the ground until Fay came up, or surely she would bounce with excitement at possibly getting the crap kicked out of her. That girl, really, something is wrong with her.
"Leave it to Fay to be late," He said with a little sigh but soon the excited girl was bouncing across the lawns and thinking that she was being discreet and unnoticeable. Didn't she know by know that a veela is never inconspicuous?
Ready, please, he'd never be ready. "I'd say no, but that was a rhetorical question." Bray was being grumpy now, but at least Ellie was here to cheer him up. Standing up and throwing his arm around her shoulders as if he would put himself in danger before her, he waited for Fay to lead them to their little adventure.

Ellie smiled at Bray's sarcastic remark. She stuck her tongue out at him and smiled. "Thats me, down right scary." He could always make her smile. Oh how corny were they. Cute corny, but corny just the same.
Ellie like his arm around her shoulders. She was sure that he would dive in front of any rouge animal that got in their way. Considering Ellie's horrible track record with animals, she was sure they would have some encounter with a beast.
Ellie smiled up at Bray as she noticed Fay bouncing down the hill toward them. Ellie laughed was Fay reached them. "Very inconspicuous." She said with a smile.
"Where exactly are we going?" Ellie said, sounding slightly skeptical as she looked into the dark forest. It hadn't looked that dark before. She took a deep breath and looked at Fay. She was a wild one. Ellie laughed to herself. Buck up, Kiddo. She thought, and feeling Bray's arm, she felt braver.

Bray worried too much. Well, it wasn't like he could help it because his family was constant playing pranks and such on each other. Didn't he at least trust their magical abilites? Plus, it was usually Fay who got hurt anyway, so shouldn't she be the one worried? Even frightened to go into the forest?
For a time, she was. Atfer that little 'Devils Snare' incident, she hadn't gone back into the forest. Her fear was justified, so it wasn't like she was a sissy or anything. But, after a while, Felicity decided something. Why throw in your towel, after only one thing went wrong? That wasn't like her.
"It hard to be inconspicious when you're so pale." Felicity stuck out her arm and wiggled her fingers. Pale beauty, that's what she was. Come to think of it, most veelas had pale features. Huh, weird.
"Oh don't be so dreary Bray." She rolled her eyes at him and turned to Ellie. "We're going into the forest. Not very far into it, but just far enough to maybe see a unicorn or two." Fay winked at Ellie and grinned. She turned on her heels and took one long stride toward the forest.
"Come on grumps, secrets await us!"

Bradyn just rolled his eyes at Ellie but couldn't help but smile all the same. "Yes, yes, of course. If butterflies are scary, that is." Even his girlfriend couldn't stop him from being constantly sarcastic. Typical Bray.
Listing to Ellie and Fay talk about how Fay sticks out like a sore thumb, he couldn't help but laugh when she blamed it on her skintone. Hell, he was wholly Irish and just as pale, but he didn't glow in the dark like she did. "I'm sure being a veela doesn't have anything to do with being noticeable. No, not at all." As she mentioned that he was being dreary, he just stuck his tongue out at her.
"Lies, I'm the life of this party."
Unicorns. Yeah, I'm sure that's what they'd find. Some unicorn with a pack of werewolves, vampires, and hags ( oh my! ) following it, maybe. "Unicorns? We'd be more likely to find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, and that's just muggle nonsense." But none-the-less, he followed Fay's excited gait towards the forest and her inevitable doom. Maybe this time she'd get an arm injury, just to switch things up? Because that's how life was, the Forest hurt Fay and people hurt Bray. Pretty hard to tell who was lucky there.
"Maybe we should sing campfire songs, just to bring danger faster?"

" Oh ha. ha." Ellie said back to him, just as sarcastic. They were certainly a couple full of sarcasm. But cute sarcasm, so it was all good.
Ellie laughed at Fay. "That could be it. You'd probably glow in a dark room." Ellie said, adding on to Bray's next sarcastic remark. Ellie didn't really say anything else. She was suitably tan. The previous summer she had spent her time in Egypt and then she went home for the holiday in Venezuela. Needless to say, the tan had yet to fade, even in the snowy white expanse of Hogwarts.
Unicorns were animals. Why on earth would Ellie want to actually find one. It would probably ram her through with its horn. Ellie-ka-bob. yummy.
"Couldn't we just walk around the edge of the forest..." Ellie suggested, a little grimace on her face. She was half joking and half serious. More serious. "I hear theres a great set of uh...mushrooms growing down by the pitch, wouldn't that be inter...never mind." She finished, seeing the look on not only Fay's, but Bray's face too.
"Secrets?" Ellie said as they stepped into the forest. "Secrets don't make friends." She said, smiling slightly, but i the dark you couldn't see. She looked at Bray and gave a bigger, more noticeable smile. And so they ventured into the forest.
"Kumbaya my lord, kumbaya."

"You're just jealous cause I'm prettier than you Bray. Don't worry, at least I still accept you."
Felicity grinned and pat him on the head. She glanced toward Ellie as she spoke and laughed. "I probably would. I'd be the perfect night light right?" Ooh, a rhyme. Was she magical or not? No pun intended.
"Yes Bray, Unicorns. You're going to freaking love the unicorns, you got that?"
She glanced back at him with narrowed eyes, and then continued walking. Campfire songs? Was he six or something. "I have a better idea. What if we hung you from one of those branches by your underwear and made bird calls until something came?" Yea, and that just came off the top of her head. Talk about creative. Of course she was kidding, but who could tell without looking at her face.

Bradyn wouldn't be surprised at all it Fay was naturally glow-in-the-dark and was tempted to test this. He could always ask one of the braindead Claws in her room if they ever figured out where the light was coming from even though they didn't have a nightlight, though. But sadly, they would probably never get it. Especially if he said it in his usually sarcastic way. Stupid misplaced Ravenclaws.
"Oh, you got me there Fay. Maybe later we should swap beauty tips together!" Sadly, there were a couple times in the past years where this actually happened but it consisted of Fay forcing him to and Bray knocking his head on the nearest piece of furniture in the hopes that he could knock himself out. What can you expect when your best friend is not only a girl, but a freaking Veela too? 'Well, she's a tomboy veela, but still a veela.'
"Maybe we should've made Unicorn fanclub teeshirts before we went out?" Then he could've wasted time and hopefully not have come. Stupid, stupid forest.
He gasped a little even though he knew Fay was joking. It was mean and sadistic of an idea! "Kitty on a stick. That would be gormet to them, how cruel."

Ellie just watched, a smile on her face as the two Ravenclaws had their little banter. She couldn't help but giggle at Fay's comments. She looked at Bray with a sorry expression, that soon cracked under another fit of giggles.
"Ok, Ok, claws in you two." Ellie said, still laughing. If Fay was going to force them to go in the forest, Ellie wanted to do it fast, and get it done with. She doubted that it would be a fast walk, a glance at a unicorn, and that was it, but she could hope.
Of course, Fay snuck in one last punch. "What do you mean kitty on a stick?" Ellie said, questioning the odd way Bray had answered her back. Ellie didn't know about Bray's ability to become a cat at will. He hadn't wanted to tell her, seeing as she was deathly afraid of animals of all sorts, and considering they had met under the circumstances that Ellie had been assaulted by a cat, it was probably a good idea at the time.
