Maxi let go of her hand and let it fall off his chest. Maxi sighed, he knew she had felt everything he had just done, but the difference was, Laney was ready to accept it, plus she had been aware of them for some time. Maxi hadnt even known she felt like this, let alone how he was feeling, and the fact it was coming to him at once, was mixing with confusion, hurt and fear. Fear of letting someone new into his heart. Max wouldnt lie and say this wasnt what he wanted because it was, the fear was driving him crazy. He was actually scared of these feelings, his eyes told that, which is why Maxi was refusing to look at her, he didnt want her to see the fear in them.
Maxi kept his gaze away from her, even as she spoke. Maxi was hiding so many things from her, from everyone. His heart was screaching, his mind was yelling, he could hear Ash and Cris now in his mind aswell. Thoughts killed him, he hated his mind and he hated his feelings. Max felt wierd, this wasnt just something he could lock back away now it had surfaced, and he didnt know how he was going to deal with it. It wont stop, its not going to go away. You wont stop, Max, its who you are. "You're already in my head, but I dont know how you got there"
He turned his gaze back to her, after so long of avoiding it. Her eyes said it all, the way she felt about him was real, and he was beginning to believe it himself, though that didnt make this any better for him. Caving into his feelings, Max, a 6ft blonde, well built, calm, composed guy losing his head in the middle of a dark forest with a girl and the best part is, she was his ex's sister. Leaning down, with a smile, his forehead touching hers, he closed his eyes and took in a deep breath. "I dont know what you have done to me, or how you've done it." He whispered, "Im not sorry." Another deep breath, a smile on his face, eyes closed, "I never will be either."

Once Maxi had let go of her hand, she let it fall back to her side. So much had been said without a single word. She tried to look at him, but his gaze was somewhere else. What he was thinking right then and there scared Lane a little but she would never ask him what was on his mind. She needn't know to understand his ongoing battle with himself.
Laney watched Maxi as he continued to look away. She only wished he'd make eye contact with her. When he spoke she inhaled deeply and gave a small smirk, "I've always been there, Maxi." She said running a hand through her hair.
He looked at her. Finally, she thought to herself. Smiling at him sweetly, she raised an eyebrow. What's your decision? she asked daring to not speak it out loud. She wanted to know, she needed to know. His forhead touched hers and she closed her eyes. When he spoke, she grinned. She wasn't sure what that meant but he was smiling too, it had to be a good thing. "No regrets..." she whispered.

Sometimes Maxi couldnt help but wonder about what life would have been like if he had never come here, but saying that if he hadnt he wouldnt have met half the people he had done. Every decision, every choice he had made brought him here. Sure, he was having a fight with himself but what did people expect from him? Why did people expect him to be someone he wasnt? There were too many questions now, and he didnt know why.
"Why have I never realised until now though?" He asked, furrowing his brow and taking a deep shuddering breath. How could he had missed someone being in his head, he never knew she was there and Maxi didnt think that was even possible.Sometimes Max, especially now, would have wished to be anybody but himself.
His head was on hers, his eyes were closed but yet he could hear the smile seeping through her voice. Nothing else mattered right now, the two of them would find a way through this somehow, they would pull themselves out of this mess, as long as they had eachother they would be fine and Max knew that. He pulled his head off her, and with his finger he tilted her head up, pushing his lips against hers gently for a breif second before saying, "I meant it, I'm not sorry" Im just not looking forward to tomorrow

Carolanne grabbed a strand of hair and began to twirl it around her finger. A sign that showed she was both nervous and scared at the same time. She was scared because she knew not the outcome of this. She knew Ashton had to know by now, Cris wouldn't let him stay ignorant about the situation.
Why couldn't she answer this question? How would she be able to answer it? She wouldn't; simple as that. Laney shook her head, "I don't have an answer for you," she stated. A question like that was left to the person asking. She couldn't, wouldn't know why he didn't realize she was there all along. Maybe she wasn't exactly, but possibly the idea of her was. Who knows.
He pulled away from her and Laney opened her eyes. They're lips touched, sending her heart into a frenzy. He wasn't sorry. Either was she. Were they.... were they together? They never would be completely but was he giving part of his heart to her? He already had hers, they both knew that.

By tomorrow the whole school will know, not just Ashton. Maxi found this thought highly disturbing and the thoughts of, what have I done, ran through his mind again. He could have pushed her away, he could have been firmer in telling her no. But he didnt, he fell right into the trap, into her web. What would life have been like if he never got serious with Ash? A lot simpler Im sure he thought despite himself.
"I dont have an answer, either" Which was strange on its own for Max considering Max was one people came to for answers since he always managed somehow to have them. He could sort out others problems, why couldnt he sort out his? This was a problem and until he cleared his head, figured things out in his head he would never know what to do, or what to even make of this situation.
He knew Carolanne wanted an answer from him, she wanted to know if they were together he could see the question in her eyes. Yet another question he didnt have an answer for. He couldnt give anyone a straight answer right now, not until his head was sorted. How could he say yes to her, when a part of him was saying no, and the other part was still yelling its not right?

Carolanne could still see the confusion in Maxi's eyes. She didn't mean to do this to him, she didn't mean to trap him. Carolanne glanced to the side and moistened her lips. She was unsure of what to say to make him believe it'd get better. She couldn't assure him that, no one knew the outcome. She just wanted him to know that she would always be there for him.
She turned her attention back to the blond haired boy and nodded. Words didn't come easily now. Instead, Laney looked everywhere but at Max. She needed to give him time, she realized that now. She wouldn't push this on him anymore and let him come to her when he was ready.
Carolanne sighed, "Right, then. I'm just going to..." she looked into Max's eyes, "Er, go. Get back to me, alright?" She said before giving him a quick kiss on the lips. She was unsure of what was to come, but she knew Maxi well enough to trust him. She'd wait for him to clear his mind.

This was most definatly a position Max never thought he would be in. He was trapped, vexed and extreamly confused but what could he do about it now? Nothing. Even so, Maxi didnt like this feeling that much he knew. Even though she had told him not to, he couldnt help running a hand through his hair.
From the look in Laneys eyes, it suggested that she understood he couldnt make a desicion based on them just yet, he knew she had, but he couldnt. His head was too much of a mess right now and Maxi couldnt think straight let alone anything else.
Max nodded as he felt her kiss him again, "Alright... I'll see you around the school." The blonde said and put his hand on her shoulder as he walked past and back to the lake. He figured he would go there before going to the castle, he needed time to think, and he always thought best here.
