The sound of Bray's singing made Ash forget his fear. For the time being. He turned and stared at his friend as if he had suddenly grown three extra heads or something! Ash sighed and shook his head, "You my friend, need some serious help!"

Felicity flinched against another bolt of lightning. She grunted as Bray tugged her up. Her legs were still a little shaky. "Hmph. It's not the rain. I like rain." Another clap of thunder sounded and she squeaked. "It's the thunder and lightning."
Just sound. That was all it was, sound. She could handle sound right? Lightning flashed and Fay forced herself not to flinch. Felicity eyed Maxi and Ashton as they walked. Better not to say anything.
"Merlin's pants Bray! Not that song." She shuddered and made a face. "Muggles absolutely blow that whole witch thing out of proportion." Of course Fay was probably being the only defensive one because she was the only girl. "We are definitely not green and don't dress in those horrid outfits!" She threw up her hands. "And who travels by bubble?!"

Ash snickered as Fay ranted about Wizard of OZ. He sighed and shook his head, "And you people think I need help? If I need help, then what do you need? A ticket on a one way train to the looney asylum?"

Maxi walked to the edge of the forest, putting the light on his wand out as he got closer. In all the heavens names he could not think of what had possessed him to be here tonight. Still, he was here and so were they and Bray was singing the wizard of oz. These people are weirder than I am. Maybe I should have brought Mark, at least that way I wouldnt be the only sane one here.
"Would be rather sweet to travel in a bubble though" Maxi spoke, more to himself than anyone else as he stepped through the first lining of trees, the blonde was careful where he was stepping and being rather quiet about it. He put his hands in the pockets of his white jacket, which, now he thought about it, he shouldnt have worn since it would be black soon enough.

Bradyn sighed and shook his head. "You're so unbelievable, Fay. Rain's only fun with a light show." Geeze, his two closest friends were both afraid of storms. What were they, 5?
Bray stuck his tongue out at Ash. "If I need help, you'll have to be the person to turn me in and have me locked up." But still, it distracted him from realizing where he was so he didn't mind being crazy and singing while he was going in. And obviously it didn't make other people worry too, since they were just yelling at him.
"Maybe I should throw you in the lake and see if you melt." He said, jabbing right back at Fay for her little comments on his lack of sanity. "You're far more mental, Ash, because you accuse perfectly sane people of being off their rocker!" Bray said more softly now, since they were farther into the forest and reached into his pants pocket and pulled out his wand, quickly lighting it with the lumos charm.
"Human tree, what's your plan, anyway?"

Ash just shook his head, "You two are definitely not sane! You're probably scaring poor Maxi over here with your lunacy!"

Felicity glared at Bray. "Oh shush. We each have our own fears, mine just happens to be thunderstorms." She turned her head childishly away from him and gave a little 'hmph'.
She rolled her eyes at Ash's back. "My reasoning is perfectly logical. Don't try to contradict me." Fay placed her hands on her hips and stuck her tongue out at his back. "So there."
Fay ducted away from Bray's arm and skipped over to Maxi and Ash. She draped her arms over there shoulders and popped her head into the little space between them. "Come on, admit it, you looovveee me!" Fay stuck her lower lip out in a little pout. Aw, now who could resist that face?
"Yea, where we going?"

"Less of the Human Tree, Kitty"
Maxi sniped back in a joking like manner, though turned look look at Bray, who had, like Max thought, put the light on the end of his wand. "You really want everything in there to be aware of us?" He asked, signalling to the light, "The Lightening will show us where were going well enough," As he said that, another clap of thunder went off, "As for heading, No idea."
He walked through the first lot of trees, getting stuck in a mud puddle as he went, already his white jacket had splashes of brown on it. He turned to look when he felt an arm around his shoulder, looking down he saw Fay and wondered how she put her arm around him without straining herself.
"I thought you wanted to go and see some Thestrals?"
Maxi smiled at Fay as he walked on, letting go of Fay, he let Ash and Fay walk infront of him as he walked over to Bray. He walked silently beside his Claw friend for a moment and watched the back of Fay's and Ash's head.
"You alright?"

Ash laughed as Maxi and Bray bantered back and forth. "You two are just weird!" Suddenly remmbering his animagus form, he turned to the other's "Hey, why don't I just transform into my animagus, and I can go ahead? That way Maxi won't blunder into anymore mud puddles!"

Bradyn rolled his eyes and shook his head a bit at Fay, she was more childish than him sometimes. But as soon as she slipped out, he shoved that hand back into his pocket and let her go glomp the gays (sounds like a video game).
Sticking his tongue out at Maxi's back towards his kitty comment, he laughed a bit. "Alright, bossy moose." He said an lifted his wand to his lips and 'blew it out' with unspoken magic. It was what he did to entertain himself sometimes. Then he heard what Max said and frowned a bit.
"I can't see thestrals." He admitted quietly. Normally, it'd be nice to say they haven't seen anyone kick the bucket, but it was obvious he was out of place now. Bray glanced at Maxi as he separated from the group and raised a brow at him.
"Why wouldn't I be?" He asked with a soft laugh. "Not another crack at my sanity is it? Because I get more than enough from Ash." Bray rolled his eyes a bit at Ash's little flaunting of his animagus and decided not to comment on how abnormal a white tiger in the forest would be.

Ash laughed, "Sometimes you people scare me!" he stuck his tongue out at Bray, "And it's not my fault you're crazy!" Suddenly, where Ash had been then, there was now a full grown white tiger. Blue eyes glowing, and tail twitching, tiger-Ash playfully nudged Bray's leg with his head.

Felicity had to walk on her tip toes to keep height with Maxi. "Yeeaa, but not everyone can see thestrals." She heard Bray's quiet answer, and she turned slightly to glance at him. Fay's gaze softened for a moment, then she turned to looking back at the forest.
Bray had been there when Felicity finally admitted her story about her father. That was the only real reason she could see thestrals. Most of the time, Fay tried to push the thoughts of his death out of her mind when she saw them, but she couldn't help but remember.
Fay dropped her arm from around Ash's shoulders and put her hands in the pocket of her sweatshirt. The rain was slowing up, but thunder still cracked overhead and lightning flashed through the sky. She tilted her head up, looking up at the cloudy sky. Rain droplets pattered softly onto her face, and dripped off, landing on the ground below.
While she was spacing out, Ash seemed to have changed. She only barely noticed this. The thing that had caught her attention was the fact that something had wrapped around her ankle, stopping her movement. Felicity tugged, but to no avail. She took out her wand, but in her mind she knew that was useless too. Even if she did have a good shot, her ankle would still receive part of the spell.
Fay gave a little shriek as it started to move up her calf. The root, which had already entwined her ankle, was now constricing.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow. Damnit ow!"

Ash took one look at Fay and immediately changed back. "Oh crap." he said looking at the vine constricting her leg. He took a deep breath, "Okay Fay. Stay calm. We need to figure out what this is. Preferrably before it does anymore damage." He turned to Maxi and Bray. "Any ideas?" he asked quickly.

Bradyn rolled his eyes at tiger Ash and patted him on the head. "Nice kitty?" He said, though he was still a little irritated at him.
Eying Maxi again, he wondered what it was he was talking about. Did he look sad or something, or overly insane? He was brought out of his little daze by Fay's screaming and his eyes instantly darted to the vine crawling up her leg. When Ash started freaking out he quickly pulled out his own wand.
"Devil's Snare!" He shouted quickly, and started to look around him. It wouldn't just go for Fay, it wasn't some sexist plant. "Ugh! What beats Davi's Snare?" He said, frantically thinking out loud. Bray grunted when he felt something poke his foot and jumped away, back towards Fay.

Ash thought quickly, what beat Devil's Snare? "Heat!" he cried remembering. "Devil's Snare likes cold damp places! Aiming his wand at the vine, he quickly said the spell, "Incendio!" watching as the Devil's Snare curled away from the heat of the flames, he extingushed them with "Augamenti." And helped Fay to her feet.
