Such beautiful, beautiful grass. It appealed to her feline self, which as of the moment had wanted so dearly to chew the blades of green repeatedly. As kitties do quite often. But she kept herself in check, figuring more than a few people knew her by now and might laugh at her if they saw her chowing down on the lawn. Literally, on the lawn. Not like she cared what they thought about her.
The bengal cat that was Erys Grace stretched, arching its back gracefully. Her eyes focused on anything that moved, be it leaves rustled by a breeze or an insect waddling on the ground. Or the occational student walking by, their eyes landing on her only for a moment before glancing away again. What did it matter to them if there was an exotic-looking feline on the Hogwarts premises? Nothing. Which was why they didn't bother to bother her, thankfully. It didn't occur to her that if she changed back, the reaction would be any different. Being a Slytherin, Erys was naturally avoided by most if not all of the other houses. She was a known troublemaker, and fiercely protective of her housemates. Comes with the prejudices against them.
Her thoughts elsewhere now, Erys lightened the weight on her paws, keeping it mostly in her haunches as she stalked after a nearby squirrel. Careful not to stir any leaves or disrupt the scenery, the feline crouched, slowly but surely crawling towards what would soon become her prey. For game, not food. Imagine! Eating a rodent for dinner. Mm, how filling. Swallowing back laughter, she continued her stalking, eyes on the prize.
If anybody disturbed her they would be in some serious trouble.

[Sorry it took me so long, my mom made me study vocabulary with her. so I'm very eloquent and up to RPing now. xD]
Bradyn strolled across the lawns, or stalked as it would be properly called thusly. He was arched his back and stretched, yawning a yawn that was always more refreshing in his feline form. The black and white tabby made his way across the lawns, his head darting around as he tried to look over the taller patches of grass. His nostrils flared as he inhaled, relishing the stronger scent everything carried. Usually he had a stronger sense of smell as a boy, but it was never as strong as when he was stalking across the lawns.. not as a mere cat, but as a predator.
Bray slowed his pace, a scent reaching him that told his instincts of danger, yet was slightly familiar as if he'd seen it before. Perhaps it was just a student, one that smelled like a dog. At this thought, he lost his focus and picked up the scent of a squirrel. 'Squirrels, those illusive creatures. It'd be easier to catch an ow.' He thought with vague amusement as he strolled through the knoll of grass, finding himself face to face with something he did not expect. The bum of another feline, which he must've just trodden on. 'Ah, this must've been the dangerous scent.. well, this could be trouble.'

{ xD Good to know. }
The creature was so close, she could almost taste- ohwait, no. Erys wouldn't be catching anything after that sudden, startled hiss burst from her throat. You couldn't blame her, after all: who steps on a cat's butt when that particular feline is hunting? Obviously this male was looking for trouble. Watching as her prey bounded swiftly away, the feline whirled around, vivid green eyes ablaze. What does it think it's doing?! Erys thought angrily, the words a roar in her mind. Having no idea this was actually another student, and not a normal cat, the bengal lashed out with a sheathed paw, aiming to cuff the other across the ear. No claws, no extreme force.. A minor scolding. Usually she wasn't so nice.
How the other would react was another matter.
Mrowling, - readying herself for his responce - the Slytherin narrowed her eyes, tail poised high as she observed her quarry. The yin/yang colored tabby seemed younger than her, but not by much. What did it matter anyway? It was probably somebody's pet, wandering off to bother animagi such as herself. Wondering what he was doing here, she flashed him a questioning look, as if asking why he bothered her in the first place. Accompanying it was a cold, hard stare.

Bradyn's ears flattened against his skull at the sound of the other feline's hiss. Obviously, she was royally pissed that he'd run off her pray, even if it had been an accident. Stepping back a bit, he let out a low warning growl (my cat growls, anyway) fixing her with a glare. Who did this pussy cat think she was? Probably some proud student's little pet princess.
Barely having time to react to her lashing out, his dodging failed and his ear still got clipped. Letting out a vicious hiss, he fixed his stance to one that clearly said 'Fine, bring it on.' Bray was mad, and he reacted on instinct. He'd fight the female, and beat her real good. That would teach her for messing with an animagus. Meeting her curious stare with his of plain irritation. The tabby found no way that his reasoning of 'Oh, sorry, I didn't smell you there' would fly with her, anyway.

A wave of rage flared up within her, as Erys sneered right back at him in responce to the growl. Sticking her tongue out at him - a very human gesture, one might add - the bengal considered the odds: him, being the younger one, wouldn't be as experianced. At least that was what she assumed. She also had a fair bit of muscle on him, being seventeen. Of course, he didn't know that. All he saw was some powerful, exotic cat glaring at him.
Well, wasn't he the arrogant one, thinking he was any match for her. Precisely her thoughts as she attempted to stare him down, curling her lips back to reveal a sharp, threatening grin. Though still reeling back the majority of her instincts, Erys still felt a territorial flare overcome her. This was her lawn and her squirrels, and her behind! He had no right stomping all over it. Anyhow, he shouldn't be talking the talk and not walking the walk. If you caught her drift.
Fur rippling, the bengal began to circle, hissing and jeering him from afar. Typical first move, that probably wouldn't work. Her opponent didn't exactly seem like the coward type. Lashing her tail, Erys drained her expression of emotion, resorting to a more calm, collected, calculating look. That more or less freaked adversaries out, rather than snarling at them 'till the cows came home. Obviously this pet had some attitude problems.

Bradyn snarled at the female who dared stick her tongue out at him, such insolence! Had he been thinking properly, he might have made the connection to the human habit but he running on more a feral mind currently and it took a lot of his focus not to succumb to his instincts. Instead he reverted to his quidditch state of mind, deciding to take a defensive post, much like his as a keeper only this time there was more than points on the line.
Squaring his shoulders, he decided to size the female up. She obviously was older than him, well, older than him in cat years rather than human. He figured that there weren't too many cats around older than 15 and still kicking it enough to fight him. Bray thought of himself as a strapping male, but it was obvious she was more brutally built and more experienced. 'Well, figures, why else would she attack for someone trodden on her.' He fixed her with a fierce stare, hoping to unnerve her from this.
Bray knew that he wanted to stay offensive, he didn't want to mangle up someone's pet afterall, but his blood started to boil as she circled him as if he were a trapped rat. He circled also, not letting the bengal out of his sights for a second since he knew she would take advantage of any moment she got. Keeping his ears flat against his skull, he lower his front haunches and prepared to leap. Whether at the feline or away was entirely up to her but for now Bray'd signal that he was not going to back down. 'You're on, missy, but you won't like it.' He thought with amusement, it's been far too long since he's been in a cat brawl.

Erys knew that with every passing second her temper rose up a knotch; which didn't help the fact that she too had no desire to beat the crap out of someone's beloved pet. But he was just so stubborn! She wouldn't hurt him that much, just some bruises and scrapes. Maybe a scar to remember her by?
Quick as flash, the bengal attacked: launching full-speed at him with claws aimed for his chest. If she made it, they'd either be at a stalemate on their hind legs, or she would have pinned him. If not, she'd land on nothing, then the ground, then compose herself and await his move. Flatting her ears and spiking her fur, Erys hissed loudly, eyes flashing. Who's pet are you? Little rat, stirring up trouble and challenging me, of all people! The moment I change back, you're going to be a very surprised brat. She thought angrily, while trying to bite his ears.
To tell you the truth, Erys lived for this. The adrenaline, the wave of anger.. The fighing. The blood. It gave her a rush, or high, of sorts. It often blinded her and made her stubborn, but it wasn't that bad. Down boy. She thought, licking her lips as she gave him a once-over. Not too shabby looking. Your owner takes good care of you, pet. Its too bad he wasn't a human. Or the same age as her. Ah, well. Guess she'd have to kick his butt even more now.

Bradyn waited, his eyes not moving for a second, for the blow that he knew was coming. He could tell that the little princess was getting heated up with this battle, and he couldn't wait for her to go crying home to her mommy all cut up. It'd serve her right for challenging him, and teach her a good lesson. He certainly wasn't one of the best fighters, even if he did have an upper hand of sorts. There! He reacted instantly, diving to the left out of the way. He yelped out when he felt her claws rake his sides, but for the most part, the blow had been avoided. Climbing back to his feet and rounding on her, he decided that defensive would just have him be swiss cheese.
Crouching down for a mere second, he hoped to catch her before she got back up. Leaping for her, he aimed to land on her back and if successful he would pin her to the ground. Even if he didn't have the muscle mass of the female, he would easily counter her with weight. 'Maybe after a few scratches, none too deep of course, miss princess here will realize she's way out of her league fighting him..' He thought with amusement and contemplated whether he'd change in front of the bengal or not, once he beat her of course.

Cursing herself for missing, yet feeling a congradulatory ripple of satisfaction course down her spine for clawing him, Erys purred maliciously, already starting to get back on her paws from the light landing. Only to have him land on her back. Grunting, the bengal shrieked angrily (if cats can shriek. mine seems to do so something fierce. xD) while rocking herself back and forth, trying to get him off. Lashing her tail, spitting angrily, she wrenched herself to the side. The weight and the movement should be enough to get him off, so she could roll away and get back up. Little twerp.
If she managed to get back up again, Erys would start forward, whipping her claws out at his chest. Take that! She thought meanwhile, eyes narrowed and fur spiked. My, weren't they a fearsome pair? It would've been hilarious to any onlookers, seeing two felines attacking each other on the lawn. Hell, if she had been watching this, even she would have laughed. Oh, but of course she'd have split them up. Hehe.

[SNOW DAY. ohyeah!] Bradyn shifted his weight so most of it was in his forepaws working to keep the struggling cat under his pin. 'Damn princess, thinks she can cut me up. Well, it's my turn now.' He thought before he unsheathed his claws, his front ones trying to dig into the females shoulders to keep her down while the back ones tried to rake through her sides. Not hard, of course, but enough that she would hopefully back down and he wouldn't have to beat up someone's pet anymore. Feeling her wrench to the side, he released his grip on the bengal and jumped off her back.
Once he landed, Bradyn shifted back into his fighting stance with his tail lashing angrily and he didn't expect her to retaliate so fast, so he was unprepared for her lashing out. Getting caught full force in the chest, he roared and reared back in pain, trying to get distance between them. His chest heaved painfully has he worked to catch his breath, as he didn't have as much stamina as a regular cat being that he was a human. Snarling viciously, Bray ignored the pain in his side and chest and leaped for her again, this time aiming to land a bite on her shoulder joint.

{ D:! Lucky you! ..When should we have them change back? }
Feeling triumphant as her claws ripped across his chest, Erys barely had time to purr before he dove at her shoulder. Sidestepping quickly, yet not quickly enough, she felt his teeth dig into her front leg. Yowling as she felt a small trickle of blood dribble hotly down her fur, the bengal whipped her paw at his face - claws sheathed - in an attempt to 'punch' him away from her. Wouldn't a normal pet back down by now? There was definitely something off about this guy..
Assuming he had released her, the bengal scuttled away, shoving her butt in the air and crouching down in her battle stance. He seemed to have one of his own. Strange, to be more calculating than an average brawling cat. Odd as this was, Erys wasn't close enough to figuring out his true identity. Not until they scrapped each other up more, at least. Swinging her claws towards his cheek, the bengal snarled, grinning maliciously. Back down, you fool! I dont want to kill you. She thought to herself, eyes narrowed.
The idea that she could change back lay forgotten for now; Erys was in cat-mode and unlikely to realise it until further on in their fight.

Bradyn grinned triumphantly to himself as he landed a blow, and a pretty good one, to the bengal's leg. Tasting blood, he let go, not needing to be swatted at. Human or cat, blood was gross. He panted a bit and glared back towards her, for now she'd backed off a bit. But obviously she was planning some sort of attack. 'A smart cat, aye? I've never met someone like you. Usually survival is their priority.' He frowned a bit to himself and really wished this would hurry up. This had to be the longest cat fight he'd been in, and the chance of him loosing was much higher than usual.
'How troublesome' He thought and shifted back into his fighting stance, giving the female a particularly nasty snarl in hopes that she'd back off so he could lick his wounds in peace. Even though Bray was growing tired of this, he decided that he wouldn't be the one to back off or change back to just walk away. In fact, that didn't even occur to him as an option, and he was reacting almost completely on his feline instincts. He was losing himself in the heat of the battle, and it would only be a matter of time until that hit him.

This is foolish. Erys thought as she narrowed her eyes, leaping for him with the hopes of scoring a few more claws into his chest. She was beginning to get tired, with all this fighting. There were no problems with her stamina, but this was exhausting. She hadn't had much for breakfast either! Ignoring the pain of her injured limb, the bengal wondered why he hadn't scurried off to mommy or daddy dearest. There was always that chance he was a rogue cat, with no owner, but.. He seemed well taken care of. Too well, in fact.
Something was off, and she was beginning to realise it.
I should change back, he got me pretty well. Erys thought, glancing down at her front leg and chest with a feline-like pout. Yet something inside her kept saying, no no, not yet. Just wait a little longer, then scare the bejeezus out of them. So she did, relaxing only a little, still in battle stance. As in your move, boy.

Bradyn had enough time to jump out of the way of her leap, narrowly missing her attack on his chest again. It seemed he wasn't the only one started to get tired and slow down. He was exhausted and he sighed a bit. This was no ordinary princess, since she just wouldn't back down. And he was getting beat up more than her, by a lot. He started to pace around her, his scratches burning. Bray knew the move was his, but he was a little tired of this. 'Far too long of a fight.. this princess has been cutting me up, too. How odd, I've never lost before, but it looks like I will this time.'
Even in the heat of the battle, his mind shifted more to how am I going to hide these scratches once this is over. Surely Felicity won't like finding out that he was beating up on someone's pet. Once again, Bray leaped towards the bengal this time with the hopes of sinking his claws into her side and pinning her down. 'If I can just get her pinned again, maybe I'll get her to give up if I'm not so much of a nice guy as I was last time.'

Crying out angrily as she was pinned, Erys decided enough was enough. Concentrating, she quickly changed back into a human, standing up to rip the cat off her back and hold it by the scruff. "Didn't your mommy tell you to be nice to girls?" She scolded it, her voice cold. Her right arm was bleeding, as well as her chest and back. Her poor clothes were all cut up! At least she wasn't wearing her favorite jean jacket. Then there would be hell to pay.
Watching for the spark of surprise in her adversary's eyes, Erys prepared herself to take him up into the castle to find his stupid owner. Either that, or just drop him. Or kick him into the lake off the docks! So many possibilities, so little time.. Heh, kidding. She loved animals too much to do that, even though this little bugger had her battered and bleeding.
He was a strange little thing, thats for sure. Not as strong and experianced as her, yet he held his own in a fight. He would've been a better pet to her, if she had one. Only that would cause problems, since shes a cat too, and.. Yeah. Bad things happened, if you caught her drift.
