Alex laughed at Jac, she did have a way with words that was certain, "No, everyone is" He told her, "Everyone has something special about them Jac," He smiled at her as they walked. Alex didnt know the mood he was in, but it was a talkative one and usually when he was in these moods he talked utter rubbish. "Thats my hugs for ya, make people feel a whole lot better" He smirked, then winked, "But im told my kisses do wonders!" He couldnt help a laugh escape from him as he slipped his arm around her shoulders, "Cheer up! The worlds not ended, Im still in it arent I?"
Alex grinned that cheesy grin when she came back down off the small hill so she was once more shorter than him, though, with Jac being a metomorphmagus it didnt take long until she towered over him, at which point Alex put on his best thats not fair look. "You cheated" He sighed, "I cant do that! But im still naturally taller than you so its alright" Alex was not impressed when she leant on his head and looked up at her, "What am i? Your personal leaning post?"
Alex smirked when she was back to her normal size, that was better, the world was in order once more. "I suppose you use that kind of thing when your prowling the corridors at night?" He smirked, "Take on the form of a teacher or something?" He picked up the rock and called to her, as she came running over to him, he knew she had expected to see the rabbits foot in his hands, however it was just a rock. "I thought it was clever" He laughed, "Jac theres nothing here but dried twig and leaves, and a hell load of rocks." He looked at her, "If the rabbit foot was here, it's gone now"
Alex fllowed her gaze and saw the little gleam, walking over to it with her, he bent down and examined it. "Looks like the thing we're looking for," he said picking it up and showing it to her, "Okay I'll eat my words it was here." As he stood up, he heard a few twigs break from numerous places in the trees around them, he looked at Jac and slowly raised his eyebrows as a low growl eminated from somwhere near them. "I think now would be a good time to go" He looked at Jac and pulled her to the middle of the clearing. The growls were circulating around them, whatever was in those trees, Alex was willing to bet his left arm they werent friendly. "If I die tonight," he said looking at Jac, "I just want you to know that your one of my best friends and i love you" He grinned as he said this. Typical movie theatrics, always say you love someone if in a situation where you think you're going to die.

Jac laughed and bobbed her head up and down. She knew about being special and different from others. Her mother had always assured her she wasn't likely to meet another metamorphmagus but she had. That had come as a shock to her but it was nice to know that in her weird way she wasn't the only one. Though people wanted to be special and set side from others they liked to know they weren't alone in their struggles and to Jac Tonks was it. Come to think of it, Jac thought as they walked on, I haven't seen her since the detention.
Jac was reassured by Alex's hug. She liked hugs; they had a way of making you feel as though someone was going through the same tribulations as you were even if they weren't. Jac knew she didn't have anything to complain about as she had a happy, loving family, good friends and she was happy. Wasn't that all that mattered? She was pulled out of her day dream by Alex's comment on his kissing. Jac looking at him for a moment with a mixed expression on her face, one of amusement and questioning. "Are you saying you want to kiss me, Mr Alex?" she laughed with him knowing it would be too weird to kiss a good friend like Alex Doyle.
"And the sooner the world does end the sooner I won't have to put up with your shenanigans," Jac chortled, giving Alex a sharp poke in his ribs just to say she was messing around. Alex had a way of being totally charming and totally silly at the same time and it always made Jac laugh.
Jac looked up at Alex again and held up a finger in objection. "A-ha," she said with glee, "but who's to say that I'm naturally this height?" It was always a question she had asked herself. Was she simply projecting on herself to be the height she was, have the pale skin she did, the brown eyes she always resorted to. She wasn't even sure what her natural hair colour was and found it all immaterial. She was what she was and there was no questioning that. "Only when I'm taller then you," she replied to his indignant retort.
Beaming up at him, Jac nodded her head. "I often take Vance's form," she informed him, "scares the willies out of everyone except one person knew it was me ... I can't remember who it was but it was still a hoot." She rubbed her hands together with an evil grin on her face. She never turned down the chance to give someone a fright because it was a good laugh and Jac did so love to laugh.
"I know you think your clever," Jac chirped, punching him lightly on her arm, "but really, you're not." She laughed lightly before moving on. When Alex picked up the pale green thing Jac took it from him and smiled down at it on her palm. "Would you look at that," she said more to herself then to Alex. She hadn't expected to find it but she was happy she had.
Alex stood up and the sound of twigs breaking echoed across the small clearing. Jac's wand was out and ready within seconds. As she let Alex pull her to the top of the mound, Jac put the charm in her pocket and felt something else. Digging deeper in her pocket she pulled out two things, a puking pastille and a mini fire cracker. Grasping them both tightly, Jac knew that she could use both on whatever came at them. Growls emanated from numerous points all around them and Jac didn't like it. Werewolves, she thought slowly. She didn't like them. They were unpredictable and could inflict a lot of damage without breaking a sweat. She would prefer Ministry officials to werewolves any day, even van Haestregt.
Jac began to look around and try and see into the dark trees. She took Alex's hand when he spoke and gave it a reassuring squeeze. "We're not going to die, silly," she said as cheerfully as she could, which was surprisingly cheery. "Now, buck up," she instructed him, "get ya wand out and be ready. Just like Defence classes." She gave him a smile before putting her back to his. "Eyes open." This last was more for her benefit then Alex's but it would work best if they both noted it.
((damn, would you look at that! sorry bout the longness-ness-ness. i was on a roll))

((Nyahh dont apologize )
Alex smirked at what she said to his kissing comment and shrugged, truth be told, if he didnt have his eye set on someone, who was being rather dismissive of him at the moment, Alex probably wouldnt refuse a kiss from Jac, she was very attractive. Though, Like Jac knew, it would be weird to kiss a good friend, which he had recently figured out too. "Well Miss Jac, you really are quite pretty and I must say I do believe anyone who doesnt want to kiss you, very stupid indeed" Alex smiled at her, Jac was one of his best friends, he had probably given her kisses a million times before, but kissing her in a way other than friends, would more than likely be very strange indeed.
"That was nasty" He quipped, though coiled with a small "Ooff" like sound when Jac poked him in his ribs. "Come on Jac, we all know you love both me, and my shenanigans" Giving his cheeky grin, he stepped out of the way, just incase she gave him another sharp poke.
Alex furrowed his brow as he tried to think, "That..." He began, "Is an extreamly good point." He studied her, and actually found himself wondering what her real height was, her natural hair and eye colour. He doubted even she knew nowm "The life of a metamorphmagi must be full of wonders, bet it opens countless doors normal folk like me dont even get a chance to look at the keyhole on." "Well dont make a habbit of it missy" He laughed, "Im no-ones leaning post!"
"Im not surprised" Alex laughed, "Vance is one scary dude" He smirked and looked at her, "I heard one student was stupid enough to fall asleep in his lesson, all im gonna say is that person must have had a deathwish"
"Hey!" Alex said frowning, "I am clever, wouldnt have been put in Ravenclaw if I wasnt would I?" Alex had a quick mind, he could study something for five minutes and recite it back to you backwards, his problem was he had become lazy as nothing motivated him to work anymore. Alex let her take the foot happily, he didnt like feet at the best of times, any feet, even table feet. "Indeed, its a foot... How amazing, we have two of our own and yet this foot amazes us"
Alex looked up out of the clearing, sure enough it was the night before the full moon. Which meant all werewolves were going to be changing. Alex had completley forgotten about this, he never usually did. Alex usually made this his research so he knew what nights to go into the forest, and which nights not to go in, of course you get the odd few in the forest who are completley turned all year, night and day around, but occasionally there were some students amidst them.
"I didnt say we were!" Alex laughed, feeling calm for a strange reason, "I said if." Wand. Of course, how could he have forgotten, "Dont mortally injure any of them Jac" He told her, "Just stun, try not to hurt them." Alex didnt have compassion for werewolves really, but he didnt like injuring things that were human most nights of the month, "You never know who we'll be attacking and I dont want to be the cause of a family losing their daughter or son." Alex was mainly thinking about one person during this speech, and if one of them was her, he couldnt risk himself injuring her, or letting Jack injure her either.

Jac watched Alex's face carefully as he responded to her question about the kissing. She had a big smirk on her face at what he said. "What do you want?" Jac asked. She was playing on the thought that people only said nice things to her like that because they wanted something. It was just a joke, of course, because this was what they did but it was still fun. A thought suddenly came to her and Jac shuddered. "But it would be too weird kissing you," she said, gently pushing Alex with her fist.
With a heavy sigh and a big smile, Jac hung her head. "It's true," she fake-sobbed, "I do." She was being a drama queen, completely forgotten they were in the Forbidden Forest and meant to be keeping quiet as not to attract any unwanted attention. She put the back of her hand to her forehead and pretended to faint by leaning backwards. She began to laugh heartily and walked on.
Jac smiled up at Alex as he studied her. Her could tell exactly the same thoughts that were going through her head were now passing through his, questioning whether the Jac he saw before him was the real deal. "It's not all it's cracked up to be, to tell you the truth," Jac informed the Claw, brushing the back of her fingers on a dirty spot on her jeans, "you never get complete control of it and that means your emotions are an open book. I'm getting better at it but it does mean I get places you can't ... not necessarily." A thoughtful look came to her face.
"Sure, Vance is batty," she said. "I've taken to doing the Potions stuff by myself as he hates me so much I can't walk into his class without offending. He's a strange man but gives me the perfect cover. Works like a charm ever time." When Alex insisted he was clever Jac just smiled at him, saying 'yeah, sure thing' with her eyes. But he didn't linger there long, luckily, but instead went on about feet. Jac didn't have anything witty to say about feet so simply smiled.
"You didn't have to," Jac said, "but if we do I just have to say ... you've been a good friend to me and I appreciate everything you've done for me." Jac knew she should have said it long ago and that it was a bit of a cop-out to say it now. As they stood, back-to-back, Jac quickly tied her hair into a pony-tail. "You think it's werewolves too then do you?" she asked, taking deep breaths. "I don't like werewolves." She listened to Alex's advice and thought she would rather give the beast a reason to leave like injuring it rather then stun it. "Werewolves are pretty resilient to magic," she informed him.
When Alex mentioned daughters and sons Jac knew who he was talking about. "Don't worry," Jac said confidently, "she's smart enough to drink that elixir when the full moon comes around." Jac looked up and could see a vague outline of the near full moon. A dangerous time to be out in to woods. "I'm just glad little Georgie isn't here," she said fondly with a smile on her face.

There was a cool breeze in the air and it rustled around the trees carrying the scent of other creatures that were lurking in the forest. For a long time it was the smell of damp earth and fellow werewolves that filled wolfs senses, that was until with one sniff there was a sweeter smell on the air, human. There was something about human flesh that was nicer then the other types of meat available in the forest...it was tender, sweeter, fresh and defenceless. Drool started to drip out of the werewolves mouth as it slowly put one paw in front of the other and crept through the forest, staying low and silent trying to keep out of the sight of the other werewolves that were gathering.
Slowly the wolfs eyes landed on the two humans that it had been tracking, the scent was even stronger then before and the wolf could almost taste the fear that filled the air around them. They clearly knew that they were being surrounded, they had their sticks drawn…the sticks that produced evil lightening that stung as it hit and often blinded. Yet as the beady eyes of the wolf was locked upon them, ears picking up every sound the humans made some of their babble made sense and it was almost as if something had been kicked into overdrive in the wolves brain.
There was a problem with having a broken hearted brother who was now having a fling with someone else in a vain attempt to get over the woman he was till madly in love with…he forgot things. It would be easy to argue that Girty too could have remembered about the full moon but something had distracted her that day and it had quite slipped her mind until it was too late and not even the Elixir would be able to stop the transformation.
So here was Girty in wolf form looking upon two people who in normal day to day circumstances where her closest friends in the school, but when the full moon was out non of this mattered, she needed to stake claim on her dinner before any of the others. Feeling the earth under her paws the wolf pushed back on its hind legs feeling the tension build up before realising it and jumped straight into the clearing…but another wolf seemed to have the same idea, and then another.
There were two humans to three wolves and they were not known to share. With a shifting look at one to the other the werewolf knew what it had to do and turned on the one to its left, the others had the same idea and started to fight too. The area of the forest around them was filled with the sound of howling from the one looking werewolves and grunts as the three of them stuck each other, snapping at each others necks, clawing at each others sides and kicking out with their hind legs.
The werewolf that was more commonly known as Girty Hubbles was managed to collect a few cuts along the way but it was that wolf that gave the deceive blow to the stockier, thicker furred wolf by clamping her jaws around the poor creatures neck. It fell to the floor with a whimper, its chest heaving as it lay beaten and pride stricken on the forest floor, there was only one more to go and it was already injured finding it hard to put pressure on it front left leg. However what happened next the wolf did not take into account, it seemed that the other werewolf left standing was a resident of the forest and with a particularly loud howl called up reinforcements.
With wide eyes the Girtywolf slowly began to step backwards towards the two humans almost out of instinct of trying to stand together as friends. She was out of breath and the cut in her side hurt with every intake she took but as a werewolf pain was nothing, but it would come to haunt her in the morning.

"No I know i didnt have to, but I did" Alex's back was against Jac's, his wand was pointing towards the trees where he could hear a low growl coming from, "And you've been a good friend too." Alex took Jac's free hand in his free hand and gave it a squeeze, "If we survive this, remind me I have to take you for a butterbeer and appreciate you a lot more" He let go of her hand and kept his eyes on the wood infront of him, "I dont think it is, I know it is" Alex said confidently, fear was capturing him, he knew there were more werewolves then there were humans here, and they were a good long away from any humanity to hope someone would help them, "I cant say im fond of them either, but we cant go around killing things that are more human than animal"
"You dont know that for sure" Alex stated, for all they knew, Girty hadnt taken the potion, it was common knowledge to anyone who knew her, she had become scatterbrained of late, and Alex knew the reason why. "Of all the nights you choose to come looking for a foot, you chose tonight" he laughed. He could always count on Jac to put them in danger.
Alex's eyes clamped on the form that had taken to the clearing. "Uh, we have company on my side" Alex told Jac, though he didnt need telling other wolves had come out on the other side either, he could hear their growls, and Alex knew to them, right now, Alex and Jac were just another meal. "I think we're gonna die, and to think I never did get that pet dog I wanted..." Though looking at these wolves, he was thinking he might get a kitten if he escaped this.
Alex watched as the wolf infront of him went to attack another wolf, Alex looked for some form of escape, but even though the wolves were fighting, they were still keeping an eye on Alex and Jac, and if either moved, it would be the last thing they ever did. And Alex wasnt quite ready to say bye to life just yet, "Maybe they'll eat eachother instead of us, wha'ddya reckon?"
No sooner had the fight broke out, it ended. Alex now stood directly next to Jac as the wolf infront of them, eyed up the last standing. Alex couldnt do anything but watch, a familiar sense of dread crept over him as the wolf began howling, "Thats never a good sign..." He mumbled, though this turned to surprise as the wolf which started the fight began to back up to them, Alex knew then and there, who that wolf was in Human form, he had gotten a wash of care and compassion when it began to step back, Alex stepped forward so he was level with the wolf, one would call him crazy for such an act, he was beginning to believe he was crazy.
Alex looked down at the werewolf, putting a hand on its neck, he gave it a soft stroke and bent down a little, keeping his eyes on the other wolf who wasnt moving, just eyeing the three of them, he said softly, "Girty?" He didnt know if this was the last thing he was going to say, he didnt know if he would make it out of this forest, all Alex knew was, this wolf was her, he didnt know how he knew, he just had one of his feelings.

Jac squeezed Alex’s hand when he put his in hers. A smile came to her face and stayed, despite the danger. She nodded to his request and said in a whisper, “I’ll hold you to that.” She didn’t want to and wouldn’t let herself take a realistic outlook on the situation. Jac had faced worse, she thought, and an unconstructive grim outlook was not going to help them here. She knew from experience that when you succumb to fear, it got the better of you and you ended up with chunks missing from your leg. She wouldn’t make that same mistake again.
“We can’t go around letting things that are more human then animal go around killing us either,” Jac retorted. She knew that killing was not an option but wounding wouldn’t be such a bad idea. “Bleeding them a little will be enough to scare ‘em off and lead the others off,” she said, eyes wide to catch every movement. “Even if she is in the fleet, she can’t blame us for protecting ourselves,” she said, trying to make the eventuality of possibly hurting a friend easier on her own conscience, “she’d hate herself for hurting us instead.” She knew she had a point.
According to many who knew Jac Biggerstall, she was a trouble maker and someone who went looking for trouble but what many didn’t realise was that it usually found her instead. Was she the one who asked the crazy hag to attack her? Was she the one who sort out the troll? Was she the one who asked for punishment from the other hag that called herself a Ministry official? Well, perhaps for the last she had but only in the eyes of van Haestregt.
Company? she thought, here goes. She turned and looked before Alex. Three. There were three werewolves and they all looked hungry. “What we need is a distraction so we can make a break for it,” Jac whispered practically into Alex’s ear. She didn’t want to die, she wasn’t ready and she wouldn’t let anyone take her choice of how and when away from her. Suddenly they started at each other. Clearly they didn’t like sharing. Tearing, ripping at their brethren, they fought like the animals they were.
One fell; leaving two and two was too much already. “Like that,” she said to Alex with a disgruntled moan. The one began to howl and Jac knew what that meant. “Oh no,” she groaned, “right, next chance, we run.” But something funny happened. The other backed up towards them. “What’s it doing?” Jac asked in a whisper but Alex pushed past her and uttered a name they had both been dreading but not said. “What are you doing?” she hissed at him. “No, Alex, don’t,” she reached out for his hand but the other wolf turned his eye on her and she daren’t move.

The howls continued to echo around the forest with more wolves joining in from different sections of the forest. They were gathering and seemingly as one of the only non locals to be walking around on four legs Girtywolf had overstayed her welcome in the forest long enough and knew from experience the other wolves would go for her first and almost ten to one was never the best odds, even a blood driven werewolf knew that. Howling back almost to egg the other wolves on Girtywolf dug her claws into the cold forest floor trying to tune herself in with the environment around her. But then something happened that the wolf did not expect. One of the humans knelt down beside her and started to stroke her as if she was no more then a domestic dog, and in the babble of the human tongue it said one word but for some reason in the back of her mind it seemed familiar. Turning one of its beady eyes onto the male human he seemed familiar and the wolf had a sudden urge to lick the side of his face, which worried the poor creature as that was far too much like domestic dog.
Knowing that the eyes of the other wolves were upon her she had to have some pride left among the pack only if she was a monthly visitor. Had it been any other creature the limb would have been ripped off by now but again there was almost a little voice in the back of the wolves mind telling it no. So obeying the little voice but still wanting to be able to keep face with the other wolves Girtywolf just growled and snapped its jaws at the human hoping that he got the message.
Turning her attention back to the other wolves the wolf knew what she had to do and with a narrowed gaze and a small growl it charged straight towards the limping leader of the pack. If anything it should get the attention of the other wolves so that dim humans could make a run for it. The sudden attack by the lone wolf seemed to take the leader by surprise and Girtywolf got a clean swipe at the creature. But the fight was not just the two of them for long as the other wolves pounced in and started to swipe, bite and claw in hope of striking the rouge wolf. A few of the hits made contact and the pain prickled across the wolf as wounds opened to the night air, but Girtywolf at the will and determination to keep going digging down deep for the reserves of energy.

The wolf didn't tear Alex's arm off like Jac thought it would. Perhaps ... she thought but when it snapped at him. Jac leant forward and grabbed Alex's hand, pulling him up next to her. She didn't like this, the number of wolves had drastically increased and their chances of getting out of this had just dropped like a stone dropped from a cliff. To comfort herself she locked her fingers tightly in Alex's and she tightened the grasp on her wand. She needed to do something with her hands to stop herself from doing something stupid.
The wolves were encroaching on the clearing now and Jac could feel her heart sinking to her feet. She had never been this afraid in her life, but that once, but this promised to be worse then that. What are you doing? Jac asked herself, get a grip and pay attention. A chance will soon present itself, you'll see. Jac nodded to herself, and took a deep breath. She had to be strong. She had to be. She set her weight on both feet and looked at the werewolves that were there.
What came next surprised Jac and a tiny gasp shook her lips. The werewolf defending them jumped one of the others and a great number of the others rushed to his defense. If Jac had been any more surprised she would have stood there, staring, gawking like a passer-by at an road collision. But Jac wasn't that stunned. "This is it," she whispered so softly she hardly heard herself. "Back away slowly," Jac said softly.
She began to step backwards, not making any nose with her feet. "Come on, Lex," Jac whispered, "nows our chance to run for it. They'll keep each other busy for now. Come on!" She pulled hard on his hand as she stepped onto the shadow of the trees. She turned to run but two werewolves were standing a few feet away. Jac swallowed hard. Jac trusted that Alex would attack the one before him and she quickly raised her own wand to the one before her. "Stupefy," she said in a controlled tone so she wouldn't attract any other undue attention.

Many people would think Alex was crazy for going up to a werewolf as boldly as he did, but he knew, somehow he knew it wouldnt hurt him. The Wolf and Alex seemed to lock eyes for a minute, and Alex was sure he saw a faint glimmer of Girty in there, a small recognition from Wolf to Human. It snapped at him, but Alex didnt move away until Jac forced him to by dragging him back.
He felt Jac's hand in his own, but he was more concerned right now, of the wolf infront of him than anything else. He squoze Jac's hand in a reassuring sort of way but kept his eyes firmly locked on the scene before him. He was scared, but he had been in scary situations before, and as he looked at the red head beside him, he smiled when he realised nearly all of them had been when he had been with her, "I should stop hanging around you," He smirked, "Bad things happen when I do." Though Alex was glad he was out here tonight with her, at least she wasnt alone.
Alex watched as more and more Wolves came before them, he wasnt fool enough to even think for a second they could fight their way out of this, even if the other wolf, which he knew to be Girt, was on their side. At least until she figured them for a meal. He watched, mainly in horror, at what the she-wolf did next. Alex watched as she dived upon the one who had called for help, and saw as a great many more rushed to its aid.
Alex could hear Jac, he just wasnt listening properly, he was too busy watching the scene before him, he was scared, but not for himself, or for Jac, he was scared for the wolf defending them. Alex stumbled backwards when Jac gave him a rather violent tug, which case, when she had her grip on him, he couldnt shake her, though he didnt even try. He stepped through the trees as two more wolves came to greet them, "Hello lovlies" He smirked, "Stupefy" He stunned the one closest to him as it keeled and lay on the floor.
He looked back and he could see the other wolves were overpowering the wold who had defended them, "Jac I cant" He told her, "I cant leave her." Alex looked into her eyes, "We leave now, we'll have a dead friend in the morning and I'd have lost..." He sighed, "I cant lose her, not now." He gave her a small smile. He did not want to run away knowing it would cost Girty her life. "Im sorry"
With that he turned and ran to the clearing and with a cry of, "Mobiliarbus" He threw the other wolves off the wolf on the floor. Running over to her, he banaged up a front leg quickly before standing back up again with his wand outstretched and a very determined look on his face, even though his brain was yelling, Alexander Doyle you are a prat!

Jac could see the look in Alex's eye and knowing him as she did it wasn't good given their present situation. The werewolf fell quickly but she knew it wouldn't hold them for long. She let go of Alex's hand and walked to them. "Incarcerous," she whispered and ropes wrapped themselves around the creatures. She was practiced at this spell so it would hold them a little over half an hour after they woke. Jac had spent enough time in this forest to have timed it perectly.
Alex said her name and Jac turned to him with a smile on her face but at his expression her smile fell. "Can't wha-?" she began to question but he scarcely needed to say it. She understood. He thought as much as she did that the wolf that came to their rescue, so to speak, was their friend Girty. It was only now that Jac let herself believe it. Howls and moans echoed through the silence of the forest around them.
As he spoke, Jac walked towards him. She understood his loyalty and his desire to help for she felt the same way. He apologised when Jac stood right in front of him. She put a hand to his cheek and smiled up at him. "I know how you feel about her, Lex," Jac said, "and I know you'd do anything for her. I can't stop you. I've never been able to hold you back." She stood on her tipy-toes and planted a kiss on Alex's cheek. "Go rescue your princess." Jac stood flat again and smiled. She let her hand fall from his cheek as he turned and left.
Jac ran back into the clearing as Alex wrenched out a tree and knocked some werewolves over with it. "Incendio," Jac called and a spurt of fire spewed out of it. The fallen tree caught fire and it quickly spread down it's trunk. Many of the wolves ran away as the fire was threatening to engulf more then just the tree. The fire did its job and kept to wolves at bay.
She spotted Alex by a werewolf that must have been her. Three wolves were stalking up to them around the fire. Jac ran into the cover of the trees and quickly shot "Reducto" at the earth beneath their feet. The creatures flew into the air and away from where they were. Jac quickly moved to Alex, wereGirt still on the floor. "I hope you've got an escape plan because they'll only keep coming," Jac panted at Alex.

If you were to ask Girty in a few days time about this night in the forest she would not be able to tell you anything. She could sometimes remember what she got up to in the forest in her furry form but tonight she would be lucky if she could remember the past month. The wolf did not know how many of its kind were pilling up on top of her, all trying to take swipes and bite huge chunks out of her all she knew was that it hurt. The more she fought them the more the fought back.
Girtywolf only managed to get one attack on the leader of the pack before his rear guard came in, she had managed to overcome one of them and they lay motionless on the floor but the others were tougher. One bite through her front left leg and a deafening crunch sounded out. The wolf whimpered in pain and fell to the floor waiting for the final blow to come; only nothing did. Lifting its head up slowly the wolf looked around to see the human male crouching down next to her once again and with its thunder stick he pointed it had the wolfs front leg. Automatically the Girtywolf tried to move it away in fear of the lightening that would come out of the end, but instead it eased the pain slightly and some form of bandage wrapped itself around it stopping the flow of blood.
Looking around there was a fire burning in the distance, more howls in the distance and unconscious wolves lying around them and it was only when the red haired female human came over and talk in the babble of their own language and yet again the wolf left like it understood. The humans need to escape and Girtywolf had a feeling that she was the only one that could help them.
Summoning its strength the wolf pushed itself up with its three legs and held up its left front not willing to put any pressure upon it in fear of the shooting pain that would spread through its body. With a glance over at both the humans the wolf began tried to find its footing with only thee legs and started to hobble off in an opposite direction, however as it looked back the two humans were seemingly not moving. If a wolf could roll their eyes then that is just what Girty would have done then, instead she hobbled over towards the male and taking hold of the edge of his robes in her teeth the wolf began to tug him as a sign for them to follow.
Letting go of the robes noticing a nice rip in them Girty turned once again and started to creep through the trees trying to be as silent as possible, using the fire and the smoke produced as a distraction for their escape. The wolf had a broad knowledge of the forest from the many years of wondering around it and had come to the conclusion she will be their guide if they were the fire power.
(I really do not like this post...sorry. I hope it is ok...if not I can rewrite it!)

Alex looked down at Jac, his eyes were scared and full of sadness, he knew he was verging on madness right about now but there was no way he was going to let her be killed. He could never live with himself if he did. He smiled when she put her hand on his cheek and knew instantly she understood, she didnt need to tell him she knew how he felt about Girty, he already knew she knew, in fact, he was willing to bet his left arm she knew before he did. He used his own hand and put it over hers which was on his face, he didnt know if he was saying goodbye to his friend right now, all he knew was that he needed to help Girty, whether it be the death of him. "She will always be my princess" After Jac gave him a kiss on his cheek, he squeezed her hand before letting it go and turning to run into the clearing.
Ripping a tree out of its roots normally would have been a challenge, but in his desperate state he put all his energy into it and it came out with a rather loud cracking noise and rather quickly, smashing into the other wolves. It soon caught fire, and as Alex looked behind him, he saw Jac and smiled, knowing she wouldnt have left him or Girty.
"Sorry, Im not very good with the bandage spell" Alex apologized as he softly stroked Gitywolf's leg. He knew she shyed away from his wand, at which point Alex said softly, "Dont worry, it wont hurt you." He conjured the bandages as they wrapped firmly around the wolfs leg, the tree infront of them was aflame and other wolves were making their way around them, but luckily, Jac was on them, blasting them away from Alex as he tried to bandage up the wolfs leg.
He looked up as Jac appeared beside him, "Well I hadnt got that far in thinking," he told her truthfully, he had ran in here with no plan, other than helping Girty, and now he looked around he realised that things, (Excuse the pun) were getting hairy. "Though it looks as though out furry friend has."
Alex looked down as the wolf took hold of his robes and began to pull at them with its rather sharp teeth, which in turn left a rip in Alex's favourite robes. He half laughed, though forced himself to keep his comment of You could have just nudged me to himself. Taking hold of Jac's hand he pulled her into the direction Girtywolf was going.
A bunch of werewolves jumped out infront of them, snarling and snapping at the three and he knew Girtywolf was in no position to fight, using the first spell that came to him he snarled back at them, "Confringo" Causing the dirt beneath them to flare up and when the spell hit the three threes between and behind them, they fell infront of the wolves, causing them to yelp and back off slightly. "Do not make me do it again," He snarled, he was getting tired of this battle now, though they had gotten themselves into it, they had to get themselves out of it, "Fiendfyre" A huge blast of fire engulfed the trees and werewolves, "Dont ask where I learnt that." He said, looking at the wall of fire between them, and the wolves.

Jac didn't like the fire. She watched for more wolves as Alex finished bandaging the werewolf. The forest was damp so that would hinder the spread of the fire but the blaze was already monstrous in size. She thought of putting it out but that would leave them wide open. Many creatures would suffer because of her selfishness. If she had learnt anything from her brother's books it was that it was peoples responsibility to look after it and what was she doing to it?
Jac backed up towards her friends, wand at the ready just in case. "Alex ..." she said slowly. She wanted to tell him of her worry but unexpectedly he took her hand and began to pull her along. She groaned a sigh and watched the fire continue. Jac pulled her hand out of Alex's grip and looked at him with such stern determination that one might not even recognise her. "I have to fix it," she whispered to him. "I'll be only a minute." Before he could protest, Jac changed her hair, skin colour and eyes, everything to a dark black so she was near invisible in the dark forest.
She snuck up on the fire, her disguise ruined by the hot blaze. Softly she whispered the incantation for the water spell and slowly she put a large part of the fire out. She smoke was thick and it remained a perfect cover for her to get back to Alex and the wolf that was by day her friend. She turned a dark gray to blend in with the smoke and stretched her sleeve over her hand, putting it over her mouth and nose so she didn't breath it in as much. Smoke was bad for your health but the plants liked it so she was happy to bare it while she had to.
Avoiding the clearing, Jac tip toed in the direction Alex and the wolf had gone in. Ahead of her, Jac could see at least two werewolves were sneaking up on something just ahead of her. It must be them, she thought and ran as quietly as she could around a clump of trees. Suddenly what sounded like a bomb went off and threw trees and the werewolves flew through the air. More fire exploded into life as she ran up behind Alex. "No," she groaned, "not more." Jac grabbed Alex's upper arm and squeezed tightly. "Alex," she demanded, "we can't leave the fire like that." She didn't know what else they might do to stop getting torn to shreds but she simply couldn't leave the fire as it was.
Sighing and looking to the ground, Jac fought against her better judgment and let go of Alex's arm. Looking to the werewolf she ran up to it and said, with much hope that it would understand. "We need to hurry," she said keeping her distance from the creature, knowing that werewolves were unpredictible at the best of times.
