Jennifer woke up early the day after meeting up with Russell the night before. It was a pretty eventful night as far as she was concerned, in relationship and fights status anyway. Yawning and stretching, she rolled over to look at the empty side of her bed. Another night alone, it was getting boring, and solitary. She looked down at the spot where another body should be laying and smoothed out the sheet and thought for a moment. Turning back to look at the time, she rolled out of bed in her short silk and lace light pink nightie and rubbed the back of her head while wandering to her bathroom.
Leaning over the sink, she looked close and deep into the mirror and studied her face. Pulling her hair away from her forehead, she squinted and frowned rhythmically to see how her skin changed. Giving up after a moment, she turned on the shower and unchanged before stepping into the hot running water....
After getting clean she put on some denim shorts and a white fitted t-shirt all complete with paint splatters from when she decorated her shop. Looking in the mirror as she pulled her top down, she smiled, and then tied her hair up in a loose ponytail with her bangs hanging loose. She quickly put on a bit of makeup before she jogged down the stairs. Half walking and half skipping, she picked up her keys and unlocked the shop door, before turning back and grabbing her sneakers and slipping them on and walking out the door and locking it, keeping the shop sign as 'closed'. Throwing the keys up and catching them all the way to Russ's, she decided to knock just incase he was actually awake, but without hearing any stirring in the house, she lifted up the miniature broom where he said the keys would be.
Smiling at his promise, she picked them up and searched for the one that fitted the door. Opening the door, she walked in quietly, and closed the door. Peering around the bare shop, all the stuff was in boxes all around the room. She walked up the stairs to see Russ's bedroom, and him spread out in bed, snoring. Laughing quietly, she decided she would keep her promise and jump on him. Tiptoeing quietly into his room, the last few steps she ran and jumped onto the bed. "Rawwwr!" She growled and began to laugh.

After taking off his shirt, slipping on a pair of pajama pants and crawling into bed, Russell fell asleep almost instantly; although, the alcohol from that night could've helped knock him out. For some reason, Jen kept finding her way into his dreams but Russ didn't mind; it was actually pleasant. It seemed as if he was only sleeping for minutes until he heard a faint knock at the door. He made no attempts to get up, infact, he allowed himself to fall back asleep. He figured if they were important enough, they'd know where the spare key was hidden.
The truth was, Russ was so tired, he completely forgot about Jen coming over that morning. It wasn't until he heard soft foot steps in his room did he realize who it was. He pretended to stay sleeping, his eyes shut, the soft snore and the dead appearance. Like she said she would, she jumped on his bed. Russ smiled and wrapped his arms around her. Pulling his comforter over their heads so to trap Jen by him, he said sleepily, "Five more minutes." He wasn't ready to start his day yet, infact, he'd rather lay there just the way he was for the rest of the day. Truth was, his head was slightly pounding and the light shining in the windows wasn't of much help. Russell Haynes had a slight hangover, something he had never experienced before.

As Jen jumped onto Russ's bed as soon as she stepped onto it, she was entangled in the comforter. Laughing loudly as Russ had obviously trapped her, he then sleepily spoke and wanted five more minutes. She couldn't help but lean on his muscular chest gently as they were both entangled in the sheets and she sat herself up.
"Alright then, I thought i'd keep my promise though. Do you want a cup of tea bringing up mister Hangover?" she smiled at him, as she straddled over him to get out of the sheets. Eventually being able to stand up, she fixed her hair and waited for his answer. Placing her hand on her hip, she raised her eyebrows at him and giggled.

Russ couldn't deny that Jen looked ravishing even in a paint spattered t-shirt and shorts. She was an angel compared to him. His hair was probably a mess, he was in his pajama's and still in bed. He had told her he wasn't a morning person, and now she knew first hand. He could feel Jen shift her weight on the bed as she sat up. He was tempted to just pull her back down, but refrained from doing so. He shook his head, "No. No tea." He didn't like tea much and barely drank it so why should he start now? Besides, he'd just have to deal with the headache, it wasn't his first and definitely wouldn't be his last.
Jen straddled him and he brought a hand to her hip before letting it fall back to his side, "Play nice," he muttered, sending her a sleepy wink. For being so tired, he didn't mind sending her playful remarks, she set herself up for it after all by jumping in his bed. Now Jen was standing beside his bed staring at him. He faced her and studied her facial expression before laughing, "Fine, get some. The kitchen's that way," he said pointing down the hall. "I need a shower anyway."
Russ pulled himself out of bed and scratched the back of his head before stretching and standing up. "No peeking," he called to her as he walked into the bathroom. He shut the door and turned on the shower, stripping before he got in.

Jennifer gave a toothy grin when he gave in to her tea making skills. She walked to the door before he spoke about needing a shower. "Oh don't worry, I set-up a camera in there. I'll watch the tape later" she said with a straight face in all seriousness. With her blank face watching his expression, she couldn't help but burst out laughing.
"Only messin'" she said playfully as he joined her at the door and she playfully pushed his arm. Walking into the kitchen, she quite easily found her way around the kitchen. A typical man's kitchen, everything was in easy reach. Putting the kettle on, she grabbed two cups and put them infront of the kettle and waited for it to boil. That was another thing great about Russell, how he liked to keep to as normal as possible, and use magic only if needed, just like Jen.
Hearing the shower turn on, she smiled to herself before urging herself to shout something to him. "I'm watching!" She laughed.

Russ could help but shake his head at Jennifer when she said something about a camera being in his shower, "Let's hope not," he muttered as she made her way to his kitchen. Russell was a little skeptic now and actually looked around his bathroom to see if anything was different as if half believing Jen's statement. Finding nothing different with his bathroom, he continued with his shower. He heard her call something down the hall and he laughed. "You wish!" he called back.
Turning off the water, he dried off and wrapped the towel around his midsection to cover himself up. He had forgotten to grab clothes before getting in the shower. Stepping out, he glanced down the hall to see Jen still in the kitchen. Walking to his bedroom, he shut the door and got himself dressed. He was wearing a pair of faded, loose fitting jeans and an older shirt that probably seen better days. He ran a hand through his hair to get the water out then headed for the kitchen. He stood behind Jen and looked over her shoulder. "So where exactly was this camera you spoke of?" he asked with a grin.

The kettle finally boiled and Jennifer poured the water into the cups and stirred the teabags around in the water to gather strength. She heard a noise and Turned to see Russ standing right behind her. She smiled and turned her attention back to the tea when he asked about the camera. She turned around and leant her elbows onto the counter, facing him.
"Oh, It's a secret. I couldn't possibly tell you!" She joked, grinning and lifted a 'shh' finger to her mouth, before the illusion being ruined by her laugh. Turning back around to the tea, she pulled out the teabags and pushed them against the sides of the cups to drain them of their liquid. Putting her hand underneath the spoon with the bags on them, she put them in the bin. "Milk?Sugar?" she asked, unsure of what he had.

Russell grinned as Jen turned to face him. The tea smelled great but he wasn't sure exactly how much of it he'd actually drink. "Yes, but secrets don't make friends," he said singling in on her. When she laughed, Russ found himself laughing with her so he backed away and headed for his small kitchen table. Taking a seat, he watched Jen, a smile breaking on his features.
"Just give it to me straight. I don't care what's in it," he said waving for her to join him. Russ ran a hand through his short hair and leaned back in his chair. Jen was still busy with the tea so he was left to wait. "What exactly are we gonna do again?" He knew they were supposed to decorate it, but to what extent?

Jennifer turned to him as he sat down and smiled at when he said to give it him straight. She decided to put in 1 sugar and a blob of milk. Stirring both the cups, she walked over and sat down opposite Russell, handing him a cup.
"I'm an expert tea maker, that's what being an assistant does to you" she smirked. Wrapping her hands around her cup for warmth, a thing she always did, whether she was hot or not, she was asked about the decorating.
"Well, From what I saw this morning, we need to repaint downstairs, and sort out all them boxes that you've not unpacked yet" she laughed, then took a sip of hot tea.

Russell watched as Jen began adding things to the tea, a smirk playing across his features. There was something bout the way she moved that kept his eyes fixed on her. Russ took the cup and set it down infront of him, "I'm sure its delicious," but he wasn't going to taste it now. He'd never admit to not liking extremely hot beverages so instead, he'd just let it cool down and distract her by talking about the shop or anything else.
Great, unpacking. My favorite thing to do. Russell sighed, "Can't we just lay down and take a nap? And why do we need to unpack? Everything looks fine just the way it is," he said with a goofy grin. He was beginning to think that he'd actually enjoy this morning for once, even if Jen did wake him up earlier than he was used to.
"How bout this," he said straightening in his chair, "You paint, and I'll just watch and comment if you missed a spot?" Russell laughed.

Jennifer couldn't help but give Russell a playful grin, raising her eyebrow as she did so. He was a typical bloke really, but she didn't mind one bit, she knew he was only messing around.
"Alright then, but the minute you say I missed a spot, I'll paint you!" She laughed, setting her tea down on the table once more. From what she saw this morning, the shop was pretty bare, but it could be done within a day if they both worked hard together. Getting distracted by him mentioning a nap, she flashed him a grin.
"You've only just woken up! But if we get tired later I suppose it won't hurt" she said, giving him a suggestive, but playful wink. She thought about what he said for a moment. A nap, together? Ha, she felt herself become hot, and she hid her face behind her tea until the feeling passed. Lucky for Jen, she never went red when she was shy or embarrased, which was a blessing in disguise. She thought of what it would be like for Russ to wrap his manly arms around her petite frame, and feel so safe and protected. Shaking her head, as if the thoughts would fly off, she looked back to Russ and smiled.

Russ stared at his tea and laughed, "You think you're going to paint me? Try it and you get a whole bucket on your head." Russ wouldn't actually do it, well maybe only a little, but he needed the rest of the paint for the shop after all. He wasn't one to waste a bucket full of paint but he could spare a few hundred droplets or so. He knew the shop was bare, he was just too lazy, or hungover whichever you prefer, to actually do anything about it. But, he knew Jen would be pushing him so he'd just cooperate.
"Yes, but you woke me up too early. Guys need their beauty sleep as well," he said with a laugh, "And, I hope you don't mind the floor. I don't think you're man enough for my bed." Russ sent Jen a wink before nudging her foot under the table. Sure, he was flirting hardcore, but she put herself in the position when she woke him up.
So they needed to paint the shop, and unpack, and probably set up some if not all of the stands. Hard Work. Something Russ was wanting to procrastinate with. At least he had the help of a woman, a rather stunning one at that. Russ smiled and watched as Jen covered her face with her cup, "What?" he asked with a grin. Something was on her mind and he was curious.

Jen raised her eyebrows in the middle, making herself seem somewhat shocked when he nudged her foot. Almost spitting her tea out in laughter, she quickly put her cup down before rushing over and bending over the sink incase she spat it everywhere. Managing to finally drink the mouthful she had, she laughed into it, arms folded on the edge of the sink, making her laughter echo a little.
Turning and looking back at Russell, she couldn't help but let her arms fall. "You try it and then see what happens Mister Haynes. I may be little, but I can be quick!" she smiled.
"What? You don't need anymore beauty sleep, you seem to of had your fair share". Sure that was major flirting, but Jennifer was sick of all the games that men used to play with her, she'd had her fair share of heartache and destructive relationships, and it was quite boring.
"Nothing,....why?" she asked with a raised eyebrow, folding her arms over her chest when he asked her 'what'. She wasn't about to fall into a trap of telling him what she was thinking. She couldn't, not until she was sure on how he felt in return. She'd been in this position before, quite recently, and it wasn't a good feeling.

Russell watched Jen rush to the sink. Feeling as if he needed to make sure she was alright, he stood up and followed her. Her laugh was beautiful, as was she. Why he was letting himself get wrapped around her finger, he'd never know but it was a little scary for Russ. He never had a real relationship with a woman, it was always find some random woman in a bar, take her home then say goodbye in the morning and never see each other again but for some reason, a relationship sounded good to Russ.
"Well, Miss Queens. You may be quick, but this is my shop. I know all the little secrets. Try and run from me, and you'll end up covered from head to toe in paint. And, I'll make sure you're multi-colored," he said leaning against his counter.
"Yes well, I need to catch up to you," she said running a hand through his dirty blonde hair. "You've seemed to out sleep me in that department," he commented with a chuckle. Russell folded his hands across his chest and stared at Jen.
"Well, your face went all goofy, like this," he said pulling a face that looked nothing like the one Jen had made. Sighing, he lightly tapped Jen's arm, "Shall we get started then?"

Jen couldn't help but laugh in a strange way, by pursing her lips together first and sort of 'pfft'ing before the laughter continued. "We'll see Russ, We'll see" she simply said, moving her arms away from her chest and she clung onto the sink edge while leaning on it.
"I didn't think that plan through did I?" she frowned at him, before pulling a dunce face making fun of herself. She realised if he did pour paint over her then he'd be the winner, no contest. Simply smiling at him when he said he needed to catch her up in the beauty sleep, she couldn't help but raise her eyebrow. "Pfft, your such a tease" she said, pushing his arm a little that was folded over his chest. "Yup, let's get cracking Muggle, where's the paint?" she grinned, and walked out of the kitchen.
