Maxi couldnt keep his thoughts straight, he needed a good drink or fifty. Things had gotten messed up through one simple thing. As he walked down the lonely street of Hogsmeade. His expression was emotionless, his eyes were literally dead and he didnt know what was going through his mind right now, the only thing that made sense was the fact Max wanted a drink, no, Max wanted to get wasted. He wasnt quite sure when things began to take a bad turn.
He was walking slowly, his white jacket pulled around him, his scalf wrapped tightly around his neck and his head was drooped as he looked at the floor. He pushed open the door to the Hogs Head and looked around, people were hooded, everyone in here had a problem or other so people left eachother alone. Everyone had something to hide when they came in here. Ordering two firewhisky's he down one and began on the other, his blue eyes glancing over the liquid lazily. What was going to happen from here?

What was going to happen from here? Well, this was. A large, pot-belly pig shot through the air, wizzing by the Gryffindor's head before wedging itself in an open window. Soon after it was blasted outside by a very precise spell, its little squiggly tail waggling madly. No wonder this place was called The Hog's Head Inn; there were pigs everywhere! "And stay out!" Erys yelled, her hair wildly framing her face as she shoved her wand back in her pocket. Nodding to the bartender, she gave a noncommital grunt, seeing as he wouldn't bother her. She was one of his regulars, after all. Who'd want to send paying money away?
Clearing her throat and attempting to brush a muddy hoof-print off her jeans, the Slytherin rolled her eyes, whipping out her wand yet again to point it at the stain and mutter a cleaning spell. Depositing it back in her pocket, she rolled her sleeves up, popping a squat a seat or two away from him. "Firewhiskey." She grumbled to the person behind the counter, and was promptly presented with it. Downing it quickly, she rapped her hand against the tabletop, ordering another.
Not really noticing anyone else but herself, she rested her elbows on the counter, not having the greatest of days. Maybe she'd be welcome to drown her misery with someone else?

This wasnt something you witnessed everyday. A pig whizzing by your head which made Max jump up and look around just intime to see the thing wedged between the window. He now realised why nobody came here, the place was mental. Good choice for Max considering he thought he was going crazy aswell. "And stay out!" Came a voice he knew, turning as he sat back down on his stool to look at the yeller, sure enough it was Erys.
With a sigh, Max bought two more drinks, stood up and placed one infront of her. She looked as though she was having a bad day, and sure enough Max wasnt having the best of days. For some reason, Max didnt have a problem talking to Erys tonight, he had a feeling his company wouldnt be refused. As he took a stool beside her, he downed his whisky and ordered another.
"You having a bad day?"

Ah, yes. Quite mental indeed! But you had to love it - made things interesting. It was the only legitimate reason to buy drinks here, because Erys sure as hell didn't come for the hygiene of this place. Most of the time it stunk, and there were cockroaches in the back. Wrinkling her nose at this disgusting picture, she chugged the drink already in her hands, before starting on the one that was placed in front of her. If it wasn't for her high alcohol tolerance, she'd probably throw up from all this drink-intake. Lucky for her, then.
Turning her head to see who it was beside her, Erys was surprised at how she didn't gag when she saw him. It wasn't him, of course, it was the fact that he was a Gryffindork. All this gossip flitting around about him and Little Miss Whatshername, and she didn't even care one bit about it. She may know alot about her.. Enemies, per say, but she wasn't a gossip. Nor was she bothered about it, especially when the stuff about her was thrown around haphazardly. It was only once she got really angry, recently in the woods with Ricky. The comment about how people though she was soft on Gryffindorks set her aflame.
"You could say that." The Slytherin muttered, eyes narrowed, "I take it your day hasn't been to chipper either?" Wow, she must be getting a little drunk, talking so casually with him.

"Dont try and pretend you havnt heard the rumours"
He said this tonelessly as he knocked back his drink and slammed the glass down rather violently, he didnt even have to ask as the bartender threw another one his way. The rumours spreading around the castle were going extreamly fast and people even stopped him in the corridors to ask whether or not it was true. This angered Max who just pushed them aside and went about his business. Mark of course found it hilarious, Rieko didnt think it was funny but she definatly had taken to teasing him about it. What was he supposed to do? Some girl kissed him and he would just knock her back? No, he wasnt like that. He never thought Erys Grace, perfect Slytherin Princess would ever have a bad day.
"Why've you been having a bad day?"
It was no secret that Max had been acting rather weird for a good few weeks now, people had noticed him changing. He ran his hand through his hair and stared down at the liquid infront of him, unfortunatly for him it wasnt affecting him as much as he hoped it would. Maxi didnt know what he wanted right now, and so settled for drowning his sorrows and confusion in the bottom of the alcohol heap.

[Hope you don't mind me posting. (: ]
Bradyn headed out of the castle, his Hogwarts robes replaced with a gray and silver jacket and a navy newsboy cap, also his usually neatly straightened hair was left a curly mess. All of this was done so he would hopefully be unrecognizable, and be able to escape the people that seemed to annoy him. Mostly, Fay. 'If I here her say one more thing about Ash and Laney, I think I'm going to pop. Obviously, I don't care about them anymore. They're disowned.' He thought with a frown as he walked through Hogsmeade. Where to go when you wanted some alone time.. ah, there was only one culprit for this. Walking swiftly into the bar he'd ?heard a few nasty comments about form his sister, Bray frowned when a couple familiar heads o' hair were spotted.
Grace and Hennerdale, how unlucky. With a frown, he moved and took the spot next to Erys, deciding that he would avoid Maxi from now. After all, Fay was 'mad at him' therefore she would beat the small boy if he mentioned spending time with him. "Grace." He said, with a bit of a nod, surely enough to be recognized. Even if he wasn't, it would be preferred.
Deciding a comment to both of them couldn't be avoided, he glanced to the side for the first time since he sat down. "What an unusual sight, a Slytherin and a Gryffindor at peace outside of the Quidditch pit? How blasphemous." Of course, there was a touch of bitterness in his voice. But who could blame him, considering when he first met Miss Grace, it wasn't too pleasant. 'And I'll never live that down, either.'
Listening in on their tidbits of conversation, if snappy little comebacks to Max's questions could even be called a conversation, he smirked a bit. Erys having a bad day, oh how the thought amused him so. "Mm, I'm quite sure that drinking will make all your problems disappear." Bray said, being heavily sarcastic, but also hypocritical as the bartender sent a drink to himself and he slammed it down without a word. May would find out that he was drinking later, and she'd beat him into a coma; but he didn't care. He was already depressed enough about the upset Ashton, the psychotic breaking up couple, and of course his favorite matchmaker who was so determined to fix things up.
'Claws, the house of wise-fools; surely it is decided that we are the worst drama queens...'

{ Not at all! ^^ <3 }
Arching an eyebrow at the Gryffindork's outburst, the Slytherin shook her head, "I pay no mind to petty rumors." There was a hint of disgust in her voice as she said this, and there was the look on her face to prove it. They irked her not, save for those few moments. This wasn't one of them, however, so he got off scot-free. Rapping her long, green-painted fingernails on the countertop, Erys sighed, rolling her shoulders back, "I'd rather not talk about it." Strange, she couldn't pinpoint the exact reason for her distress. Funny how things worked out this way for her.
Even more funny was that nobody expected her to have bad days, ever. For the most part, Erys' life happened to suck beyond the telling of it. They weren't around for the two or three months she was practically catatonic, dropping a ton of weight after two of her best friends, and her boyfriend, up and left the school without notice. They didn't call her, they didn't write her. Nothing. It was last month or so when she recovered, gained her proper weight back, and strengthened herself up. They had no idea what she went through, nor would they find out.
Recognising his scent the moment he entered the bar (or whatever the devil they called it again) Erys angled her eyes towards the Ravenclaw as he meandered over, "Hey Bradyn." She nodded to him, fully aware of who he was from their last little cat-spat. "You wont find this back at the school. I'm drunk pretty I'm sure." Translation: I'm pretty sure I'm drunk.
Shaking her head to clear it, hopefully the words came out right this time, "I'm not trying to make them disappear, I'm just trying to.. Forget them, a while." She wasn't an alcoholic who washed her troubles away. That was for the weak. No, Erys was just trying to.. Well, she wasn't sure, but it wasn't that, certainly. She was much too strong for such a slanderous act.

It was no surprise as the Gryffindor sat there with his drink in his hands, that he could find the time to be nice to the Slytherins, hey he would have even been nice to Daine. Though still, he knew drowning his problems wouldnt solve anything, but it made him feel better, a little anyway, least for the time being. As someone sat down on the other side of Erys, Maxi lifted his head up to notice Bray, who seemed to be doing everything in his power to not notice Max, so was Bray his first angry im-gonna-yell-at-you person? Maxi didnt mean for any of this to happen, why couldnt it have been some other prefect who found Laney that night?
"I wish everyone else would follow your lead" Maxi stated, he couldnt believe he had just said he wished people could be more like Erys, sure, she was a pain in the ass, but she was truthful at least, a bit blunt maybe, but still truthful. "You dont want to talk about it?" He asked, sipping his drink and looking at her, "Why's that? Cause im a, what do you call them? Gryffindorks?" Maxi finished with a raise of an eyebrow, he was beginning to feel less and less like a Gryffindor and more and more like some form of confused outcast.
He heard Bray's little snippet about Gryffindors and Slytherins associating and bit back a harsh laugh. When feeling lousy and rather annoyed, who better to spend your time with than a Slytherin who seemed to be constantly annoyed? Still, Max knocked his drink back as the Bartender brought back another one.

Cristian had done well not to see Maxi or Laney since the incident, and the fact that they were not rubbing it in his face made it easier on him. The last two days had given him time to get over it, but it still hurt a little. He decided he was going to have a few quiet drinks by himself, but when he reached the entrance of the Three Broomsticks, he turned away and headed to the Hog's head as the first pub had to many memories for him with her. He walked down the street to the entrance of the Hog's head, it was beginning to rain, so he pulled his jacket collar up to stop raindrops dribbling down his neck. He pushed open the door to see the back of a familiar blonde head, he panicked a little, and anger rose from him. Should I just go? No, you have as much right to be here as he does. Go get a drink he thought to himself. He let the door slam back into place, making himself known, and walked up to the bar, next to Bray. He nodded at Bray and Erys, but just glared at Maxi quickly before his focus went to the barman. He ordered his drink and turned around for his back to face the bar. Should he say something? Not yet.

'I pay no mind to petty rumours' Bradyn smiled a bit. Erys was lucky that she did so, instead of being forced into paying attention to all the gossip that went around. Fay always claimed that she was no gossip, but sometime he would just have to tell her to open her eyes and face it, she was one of the worst. Especially since she liked to devote herself to fixing things that were out of her control, like relationships.
Taking a sip of his fowl-smelling drink, he nearly choked when he started to laugh at Erys. "I can see that," Bray said with a small smile as he grabbed her glass and pushed it out of her reach. Someone seemed to have little tolerance for alcohol, and he would prefer not to have to drag her back to the Slytherin common room as a blithering idiot.
"Obviously, she doesn't wish to share her problems with someone who has far more than herself." He said rather coldly, even though Maxi wasn't who he was mad at, not at all actually. "After all, it seems foolish to take advice from someone who can't even keep their own life straight."
With a small frown, Bray decided that he couldn't just ignore Max and send him the wrong message. Turning a bit towards him, he smiled a little. "Max, I can't be mad at you, you know that. I'll believe that it's not your fault your so... attractive. But, you could've resisted her instead of making such a big problem."
Hearing the door swing open again, he figured it would just be some usual rogue that would sit in the corner and plot their bad-doings, but then he saw someone in the corner of his eye. Bray glanced over, and realized it was Cris. 'Well, this situation seems to have gone from bad to worse. Maybe I'll get to intercept another bar fight?.'
"I believe that's where we all have something in common.." Realizing just how weak it would be to drink his problems away, Bray pushed his own glass away from himself and vowed not to pick it up again. After all, he didn't really like the idea of being a bit tipsy while trying to hold Cris back from trying to beat on Max, or the other way around. 'Maxi and Ash break up.. Cris and Laney break up. Laney now likes Max, and Cris and Ash become a thing. What a mess.'

"I wish everyone else would follow your lead." At this, Erys felt a quick twinge of surprise. "If everyone was like me, there would be no one but Slytherins running around." The thought should have pleased her, but already she realised there would be no one to taunt. There would be gushy romantic feelings, and an almost-everlasting state of peace. It wouldn't be the case, clearly, but it was a possibility. Everyone knew Slytherin's watched not only their backs, but their friends. True Slytherin's, anyway, were loyal to their own house. They wouldn't even think about dating someone outside of their house.
"Whatever goes on between the other houses doesn't concern me," She stated in a calm, cold voice, "Unless it affects me personally, or Slytherin." Which clearly it didn't, in this case. All this stupid rumors and gossip about the foursome and their relationships was getting out of hand. She didn't pay attention to it, and even she knew that. "I dont share my problems with anyone." Rarely with her friends. Nodding as Bray chimed in, as what he said about her was completely true, the Slytherin's lips parted in a frown as he took her drink away. She usually had a high tolerance for alcohol, really, but somehow today she just let go of it. For a while, anyway. "Fine." She grumbled, but the attitude was lost on her words.
Sliding her eyes over to the door as Cris entered, Erys arched an eyebrow. Was there going to be an outburst here, of all places? Wait, scratch that, she had caused a scene not too long ago with the potbelly pig. Maybe there was going to be another one? Catching the hard glare at the Gryffindork, the animagus wasn't surprised to find that Cris was treating Maxi like a Slytherin who just jinxed his owl to throw up every time he said the word "hey". That made her swallow back a small laugh - she should so do that sometime.

Cristian decided to sit in a nearby corner on his own with his drink. He had calmed down a lot, but he wanted Maxi to come to him and apologise before they had a talk. He sat down and clutched his drink with both hands, making it look like the drink was giving off warmth. He sighed and stared down into the bottom of the glass, watching the tiny froth parts forming on the top, and the little bubbles floating around.

Max ran a hand through his hair as the three of them went silent for a minute, though a door slamming broke that silence as Max looked up to see who had come in, it was Cris. 'Great, Just what this night needs' he thought to himself as Cris glared at him, Max half shook his head as he looked back down to his drink. Listening to Erys and Bray's conversation. It was plain to know that Bray wasnt exactly happy in his company right now, leastways that was the impression he got. What Max didnt understand was, if people didnt want to be in his company, why bother putting themselves in it?
This was the first time Bray had ever said anything coldly towards Max, and though he knew it was true, it still stabbed a sore spot within him. Looking at Bray through cold eyes, he answered, rather snappily, "Obviously" Max couldnt help but feel rather, well unlike himself. "Do you really believe for one second that I wanted any of this drama?" He asked, "Because if you do, then you dont know me at all Reed."
Max didnt return the smile, he didnt have it in him to even fake one let alone attempt to do a real one, instead he just nodded into his drink. "You're about the only one then who cant be." Max answered in a short sigh, "I know its not my fault people find this lanky blonde thing attractive, I just wish it could have been anyone but my ex's little sister, I did resist her... But the more I resisted the more persistant she became and it just kind of happened. I dont know."
Gulping down the rest of his drink, before another one was thrust into his hand. Max stood up, someone had to make the first move here and Max knew it should be him. He gave Bray a sort of 'I might die' look but he was a Gryffindor and he knew he should start acting like one. He walked over to Cris and with a nod he said simply. "I think theres things on both ends we need to talk about." With a sigh he added, "Im sorry for hurting you, I never meant for that to happen. Honestly I didnt mean for any of that to happen, but it did and I cant change that now."

It wasn't long before Cristian looked up and heard a familiar voice infront of him. Maxi. I suppose it has to get sorted sooner or later he thought to himself. Looking up slowly, he finally reached Maxi's face. "I don't have anything to say to you Maxi. What's done is done, I just wish you both would have had the guts to tell me first. I was humiliated, and I never thought she would do that to me, no matter what happened, I thought she would be open and honest with me" he said, finishing with a big sigh. He was tired of argueing, it wasn't his thing. He was usually the one who, no matter how awkward he felt, he would not admit his feelings. However, all he was seemed to go out the window. "So, are you and her together now?" he asked, trying to be as friendly as possible. He took himself by suprise when he stopped struggling against everything, after all, it must of happened for a reason. Moving around on the bench so there was room for Maxi, he took a gulp of his drink.

"Well just cause you dont want to talk to me, Cris, doesnt mean you, me... Us, doesnt mean we can run away from these problems and hide under a rock!"
Maxi knew full well this needed sorting, and by the sounds of things, Cris didnt understand a thing. He had obviously thought Max and Laney had been going on for a while, when in fact they hadnt. How was Max supposed to know Lane thought about him in that way? He had been just as much in the dark about her feelings towards him as Cris had.
"Cris this has nothing to do with guts" Maxi sighed as he put his firewhisky on the table, frustration was in his voice as though he was trying to make Cris see what had actually happened. "There was nothing to tell you, least not on my end, I didnt know she felt that way until that night in the forest. I didnt know that would end up happened, god, I didnt even know it was Laney that went in there until I got there!"
Max sat down on the bench beside Cris and ran his hands through his hair. Maxi tried to level his thoughts which were becoming slurred the more he drank, so while he was talking he left the beer alone. He couldnt sort this with a dizzy head now could he?
"No, we're not" He told him, "I havnt seen her since that night. I rekon she's avoiding me personally. Or maybe its cause I spend most of my nights in here. Who knows?"
