Ash walked towards Queen's Apparel, a smile filling his face, he had been on cloud freaking nine ever since Cris has proposed a few days ago. He looked up at the sky and smiled even wider, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping, a slight breeze stirred the air- he looked down at his ring- and hell, he was engaged! There was absolutely nothing that could spoil his day. Reaching Jen's store he burst inside, "Jen? You in here?" he asked looking around.

Jen had been working on fixing Russell's favourite shirt when she heard the door bell tinkle. Stopping, she heard a familiar voice, and she popped her head around from the back.
"Hey Ash, What's up?"

Ash smiled, "You'll never guess what's happened!" Ash practically bounced up and down, the excitement was killing him!

Jennifer watched as Ash bounced up and down.
"Erm, I dunno....You bought a cat?" she asked with a raised eyebrow

Ash's grin grew even wider, "Nope, even better! Besides, I already have two cats." he held up his left hand, "What do you see on my finger?"

Jennifer kept her cool, and pretended she didn't see the big whopping piece of bling that Ash had on his finger. Taking his hand and examining closer...
"Hairs?"

Ash laughed, he should've known Jen would pull something like that! "I am not a fool!" he said sticking his tongue out. He smiled, "A few days ago."

Smiling and observing the ring a little closer, she looked up at Ash.
"Are you sure this is the right thing to do? I mean, i'm not one to stand in the path of true love, but your so young....Plus i'm a little jealous" she stuck her tongue out in return.

Ash smiled and nodded, it was the same thing Laney had said, but nothing would change his mind. "Yeah, I think it is. I know I'm young, but I'm hoping that the more challenges we go through will only make us stronger."

"Well, as long as your sure. Just be aware that being so young, people change. Remember that won't you?" She asked, tapping his hand.
She looked at the ring again and smiled. For some reason, she thought of Russ.
"If only I could get myself a bloke"

Ash nodded, "I know." He wished everyone would stop warning him about what could go wrong, and just be happy. Although he had to admit, getting engaged at seventeen, he should've expected this. He smiled at Jen, "You will. Don't worry."

Jennifer smiled and worked her way around to behind the counter and leant on it.
"Well, your cousin popped in the other day and caught me and Russell, who owns the Quidditch shop, in the back. She probably thought we were at it, but I was just fixing his shirt, but cworr" she gave a toothy grin.
